Links: add book/author, add bookcovers

For quite a while, my author/book link is not working properly. It just remains at Book and will not allow me to add the said Book nor even go to Author. I tried signing in and out to maybe "reboot" it.
I am a poor typist and tend to stumble around computers, so I thought just maybe I accidentally clicked on something to render the add book/author "off". Suggestions Please?

If you are trying to add a link in a review, there is a bug. See this thread:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
If you are trying to add a link someplace else, you should report your problem to GR in the Feedback group.
You know these are links because of their color (greenish-brownish), because they are underlined (changing the font to underlined is not the same thing, however), and because when you roll over them with your mouse you will see the link reference information; if you click on the link it will take you to a different place in the Goodreads site.
Here is what you need to do if you would like to add these links:
When you look at the comment box you see this:
Click on "add book/author" ...
... and this will pop up:
If you want to link to a book (The Snowman by Jo Nesbo, for example) you type 'the snowman' into the space where it says "book" (#1) and click search. If you want to link to the author, click on the 'author' tab (#2), type the author's name into the space and click search.
You will see this:
There are a few choices for a book with the title "The Snowman" (which is why we ask you to provide the link when nominating), but you want to link to the Nesbo book, so you click 'add' next to his name (#1). If you want to link with the book cover, don't forget to click 'cover' at the bottom (#2) before you click 'add'.
When you click add you will see something that looks like this:
[book:The Snowman|9572203] for the book
[bookcover:The Snowman|9572203] for the cover
[author:Jo Nesbø|904719] for the author
Remember that a link will appear at the very bottom of the comment box, so you may not see it if you have other things typed in. If you want to move it you can cut and paste it elsewhere.
If there is something else you would like to learn,
just leave a comment in the "Request List" thread:
