We're Making Progress!
Read a total of 7 books in March, which is a great improvement from my one in February! I'm hoping to finish one more book before midnight! :DGreat reading, everyone!
I only read 6 books for March.
All these books read makes me feel sad. I just don't have the time. :(

It's okay, Olivia! Every book read is another towards our goal. I only read 7 in March; nothing to feel sad about!

I know, 33 books seems like a lot. But according to the GR challenge tracker thing, I'm like 6 books behind on my yearly goal.

Really? Wow. What's your year goal, though?
My 2012 reading goal is 400 books. 80 of them chunky reads (500+ pages). I'm behind about 3-4 books on the chunky reads, too. Plus I have a bunch of other goals- read a certain amount of non-fiction, presidential biographies, etc.
Shay I don't think that you have anything to worry about... You still do awesome no matter what you think :) Plus aren't you always wanting to read a little less :) Or maybe it was stuff with more substance. But at least you are enjoying them more.

I think because of the chunky books and non-fiction. When I read mostly fluffy type books I read 700+ books a year. (That's only 2 a day, really)
★Meghan★ wrote: "Haha I love that Shay! That is only 2 a day, really?!?!?!?!?! Haha I cannot do that!"The more you read, the faster you read. I am getting faster at reading non-fiction. But, I think I'm about as high has I can go on "light" fiction type books. I can read a 300-ish page book in 1 1/2 -2 hours of so- depending on font, typeface, etc. Say, 150-170 pages per hour.

I can't read a book in a few hours..it takes me longer..but when I got back to reading regular books again last week after my short break of just reading all graphic novels, I think I'm reading faster than before cause I read 4 books last week..

Frankly, if I ever read a 300-pg book in 2 hours, everyone on GRs will know. :)

At this point, I've been reading adult fiction for about 35 years. Since I was 6 or 7- just before I turned 7 was when I read my first epic- Centennial by James A. Michener. He remains one of my favorite authors and I still have the copy of Centennial that I read 35 years ago.
Wow! That's some serious dedication. Do you have a lot of freetime usually??And yeah. That's one of my "when I'm older" goals.
I get up about 2-4 hours before everyone else. So, between that and reading a little during the day and before bedtime is a good 3-5 hours of reading. A little more on the weekends, I guess, because I don't work a lot, if at all on the weekend. So, that's easily 2 or more books a day. I read a lot when I was in school because I pretty much read all day during school unless one of my teachers had work to do during class.

I can get about 60 to 70 pages into an hour depending on how tired I am. I work a lot of stupid hours and supervise up to 60 people at a time so the weeks that I can get a lot of books read are really good weeks. When I was in school I wouldn't really read a lot. This was mostly because I had a lot of classes where we had work to do. In both high school and college. But I was a bit of a music nerd in high school so there was no time to read in band or choir and I was always more of a math girl in high school. I was the one in high school that got Math Senior and Band Senior of the year. Yes I know. I was a dork :)

Therefore, I usually read or work on homework during her class.
I'm not really sure how many pages I can get in an hour. On my Kindle, it depends on what I'm reading; the same goes for actual books, including whether the book is really interesting or not.
Meghan-- You weren't a dork at all!! Just outstanding! :D
I want to contribute my reading. Since January I read 15 books. After school gets out, I will be reading mass quantities of books. :)
As I am sure that I will not finish the next book in my pile before tomorrow night, I will wrap up April with 7 books.
Sorry this is a bit late. Havent been on lately.March: 1
April: 1
I really need to get out of this funk!
I've read 13 books this April.
I'm very proud:
A. It's an improvement from 7.
B. 13 is my top all time books read in a month.
C. I've been very busy whilst reading all these books.
SO I hope I can read a few more next month!
