You could start early - what to do is look at who voted for Room in the polls and then mail them. Let me know if you have any issues.
I'm in the middle of The Night Circus at the moment but I still plan to start Room on the 1st and then hopefully start WfE halfway through December. Looking forward to them both :)
I've already read it, so will wait till everyone's finished before commenting as everything I want to say is a spoiler ;)

This

It's a really easy read isn't it Katrina? I'm on page 79 and I started it last night around 9 but I haven't rushed, I'm enjoying it a lot but finding it quite upsetting too.

I had to not think about the circumstances but just that it was all he had known. Very impressed with the book
I started Room yesterday. It's such a fascinating book, I love that the narration shows the total enthusiasm and excitement of a 5 year old for all the little details ... which makes it all the more desperately sad as the poor boy misses out on a whole world outside his prisoned room.
The limitless love of the Mother too as she shields Jack from knowing the truth about a life outside ... How she has to pretend for his sake that what they see on the TV screen is just fantasy and not real. Very moving. It's gripped me from the start.

It's my day off and I really want to curl up with my book and read all day ... but I've got hours of ever-so boring coursework to do. Argh!
I don't want to put Room down ...

Oh no! bless you, it is really hard to put down, I really enjoyed it. I am really struggling to find time for Water For Elephants at the moment :S

Hannah I have a six year old and I felt the same way, and I forget how innocent he is and how much he just can't understand some thing the way we do... I think it's very easy for a mother to connect with this book. :)

Me too Vicky. I'm going to take a couple of hours out now sit down with Room. I've been so frustrated this week that I've not had time, even on my lunch hour to get my book out. I've been recommending Room to everyone but I'm mostly met with "Oh no, it sounds too depressing" ... or "No, I think it'll upset me". It is an upsetting read sure but, it has so many uplifting moments too and I think it's so accurate on how that environment could affect an adult and child. It is a fascinating book.
