Some questions from a newbie

I am a librarian since yesterday (Hurray!)
Anyway tried today, read a lot how-to, but I have some questions:
The first one is: Yesterday I registered this book

This is the Dutch translation of this book

As you can see the Dutch translation shows no other editions found so they need combining. But when I click combine there are no other editions to combine it with.
(correct me if I'm wrong, but we need to combine translated works with the original if it is the same work, right?) Anyway, how can I combine them?
Second question: Edition language needs to be the language in what that particular book is written (So the Dutch translation of The smoke jumper has stated as edition language Dutch/Flemish if it is translated in Dutch, even though the original language would be English?)

I'm hoping I make any sense.

In the Dutch edition, his name is spelled wrong. (In the Dutch edition, it's spelled "Nicolas". No "H". If you correct the spelling, you will be able to combine.
