CaroB's questions for Chapters 10-1230. Wow! No way had I seen that coming about "Sandy" and Lyall. What a gobsmacker! How do you view Professor Lyall now, knowing this about him? Who is his loyalty really to, alpha or pack? Do you suspect there might be somethng else he's hiding up his sleeve?Do you think Alexia should tell Conall?
31. Alexia is still quite ambivalent about Channing. What's your take on his character now? I think he and Felicity deserve each other, don't you?
32. My heart broke for Biffy and Conall. How do you predict Biffy's integration into the pack might be resolved?
33. What did you think of Formerly 's second death? Think Madam Lefoux is going to get angry that Alexia exorcised her aunt?
34. Has Madam Lefoux gone completely crazy? And what set her off? She seemed fine in the last book!

I was completely surprised and a little stunned. No hint of that, was there? Something else up his sleeve? No. But obviously I’ve been wrong before. A part of me felt Alexia should tell Conall, but a larger part said, “No.”
31. Alexia is still quite ambivalent about Channing. What's your take on his character now? I think he and Felicity deserve each other, don't you?
I’ve never liked him. You’re right; they deserved each other.
32. My heart broke for Biffy and Conall. How do you predict Biffy's integration into the pack might be resolved?
Yes, for both of them. Don’t know. Maybe being in town will help.
33. What did you think of Formerly 's second death? Think Madam Lefoux is going to get angry that Alexia exorcised her aunt?
I kept telling myself she wouldn’t, but I did this over and over again, so obviously I’m worried.
34. Has Madam Lefoux gone completely crazy? And what set her off? She seemed fine in the last book!
No. I think she really hates the vamps. She totally sane, but wants revenge – a dish best served cold.

It floored me too!! I even commented on it while I was reading it. Didn't see that twist coming, though I always thought Professor Lyall was a sneaking little wolf. =) I still don't think we know everything about Lyall and what he could be capable of though. As for Alexia, I think she's in a rough spot but right in not telling Conall. May be in the future, but his Beta's trickery/betrayal was for his pack that he cares so much about and not some plot to hurt Conall. VERY irritated with Lyall for putting her in this position though.

I honestly want to tear pieces of fur/flesh from Mr. Channing of the Crappy Channings, so Yes, I would have to agree that he and Felicity rightly deserve each other. lol

I felt some real sympathy in a long time for Conall here. Biffy's going to have to find something that he cares about and that he can put some passion and heart into if he's going to live with the pack. Hopefully it's not with BRU, as I don't think that's the right fit.

Madam Lefoux doesn't seem to care much about her dead aunt and I feel bad for Alexia needlessly worrying about it.

She has fallen off her dirigible it seems! I know why she's acting like a loon, but its seems rather excessive and not in character. BUT, have we ever really met the real Madam Lefoux?

Lisa Kay’s Questions for Chapters 13-15 35. I just laughed out loud so many times through these chapters. What a hoot! I loved the high octane action mixed with the wry humor. Did you? And Dandelion Fluff Upon a Spoon? Such an imagination GC has.
36. Love how, despite the craziness, the priorities must be observed. Sometimes that works. I know when we had the big earthquake out here more than 20 years ago, all the traffic lights were out and people were so polite. Probably just grateful their houses were still standing. I wish they could be like that always! Do you have a similar experience?

That last sentence threw me. I thought she was just going to be a werewolf, but she obviously has other abilities.

Hmmm. I don’t know. It sure give Alexia a bit of a grapevine – or conduit inside the Woolsey’s Hive (if Genevieve isn’t too pissed at her); nevertheless, I feel quite sorry for Madame Lefoux and little Quesnel.

I think she gets a new one every book, right? Not sure on this. Oh! That last is a good question. Well, the cover of the next book shows her carrying one; let’s hope it is deployable.

Loved it! As much as I loved the first one (it being my first Steampunk and all) I thought it was the best so far. Laugh all the way through chapters 13 & 14. Can’t wait for Timeless (March 1st!!).

Wow! Do you read minds, Lisarenee? I was just wondering this and critiquing the cover. I thought they were trying to be sneaking by having her back to us. I wonder if that was because the cover artist didn’t know how far along she would be in the story. I was surprised to find out recently that artists often are only given the “working title” of a book, so sometimes they can’t tell you which paperback a picture was intended – like if it was a “set back” (inside cover). It sure explains why they show blonds on the cover with the hero when the heroine is a brunette (which is what happened on the audiobook cover to
, of all books!).

I was surprised but yeah, then everything made sense. However, I knew as soon as the ghost said queen that it was the vampire queen she was talking about. Akeldama would have made provisions, I'm sure. Remember the guy he left behind with a message for Alexia when he swarmed?

Me either! I still love Lyall, he's cute. His loyalty WAS to the pack with a bad alpha, now he's Conall's. He may have secrets-he could even be running the government secretly but they wouldn't be ones that'd hurt Conall. She should or he may never trust her again.

Neither.

I don't think that question was answered. Probably staying out of pack business.
