Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments I often find myself at a loss as to what to read next after I've finished a book. I thought it might be fun to have a thread that we can go to and get suggestions. Maybe we can say what genre we feel like reading next and then get suggestions from others.

Kimberly (kimberlywithat) | 2140 comments Me first!

I've just read several books in a row that were very long, all adult fiction and were rather serious books. I'm looking for a light read to get me through finals. Probably fluffy YA, something with humor.

Any suggestions?

Daisy | 686 comments It's more MG than YA, but Princess for Hire is a really cute fluffy read!
Others:
You Wish
The Lightning Thief
Epic Fail
Crown Duel

And I know these are not YA, but fluffy chicklit (which is always relaxing for me to read):
Anything by Jill Mansell
Anything by Sophie Kinsella other than her Shopaholic books, cause I didn't really like those
Austenland

Lori Walker Here's a good site for helping you decide what to read next:

http://www.literature-map.com/

You enter in an author you like and it gives you suggestions of authors who are similar or related. The closer the name is to the author you entered, the more similar they are.

Jamie (jamiecunningham) Kimberly, here's some YA I enjoyed after a marathon of dystopian literature:

Ella Enchanted
The Princess Diaries
Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging

Not YA, but also enjoyed:

The Boy Next Door
Where the Heart Is

For Websites, I recommend you use "YourNextRead.com" or "TasteKid.com". I've gotten great recommendations for books from these two sites.

Enjoy!

MarielaBlu (queenscove) these are cool sites! For an easy read and deep stories you read anything by Elizabeth Scott. :)
