The Traitor's Emblem by Juan Gomez-Jurado

The whole plot revolves around a coverup of a murder (or I think it's a murder) just before WWI in Germany."

yeah, that sounds like it would work. It also sounds really good.

It sounds like the group is covering something else up. I'll ok it.

Debra (debra_t) I rolled a 5 and have chosen to listen to an CD audiobook: UR. There is a Kindle edition with 127 pages. Is this acceptable?

message 60: by Tani (new)

Tani | 108 comments Would The Woman Warrior by Maxine Hong Kingston work for a 4? There seems to be some uncertainty in the reviews over whether it's autobiography or fiction.

I think that will have to get approved by the mods since there is no print version. Go to the eBook Verification- no print edition thread to get it approved for length. If it's approved for length, then I will approve it for the task!

I see what you mean, but it sounds like she uses the fiction stuff as a way to frame her experiences, so I'll take it.

chucklesthescot If I use a Harry Potter audio book for part 5, am I allowed to claim big book tickets for it? The physical book is over 600 pages but I wasn't sure if I could claim big book tickets because this option requires an audiobook, rather than me choosing to read one.(if that makes sense!)

chuckles, I would put that in the The General Help Thread to pose that question for the mods. I'm not sure how that works, and I would say yes, but I'm not the one who you claim the credit to, so I would check with them.

I totally understand what you are saying about it though.

Michelle (mnmgbwi) | 197 comments For option 3, I know you said The Da Vinci Code was okay so I was wondering if The Lost Symbol by the same author (in the same series) would work? I'm assuming it will involve cover ups and conspiracies like the previous two books did.

And then, for option 2, is this cover brown enough
Goodnight, Irene (Irene Kelly, #1) by Jan Burke ?

Thanks!

The Lost Symbol will definitely work. that cover is brown enough.

The rules for eBooks and audiobooks with print equivalents are as follows: Use the page count for the mass market paperback if one exists. If there is no mass market paperback edition, use the paperback edition and if no paperback is available use the hardback edition.

So, depending on which Harry Potter you read, you should link to the audio format to show that you've met the requirements of this task AND to the mass market paperback edition for big book purposes.

I think that's fine for the non-fiction option, so I'll approve it.
