Marina (marina1709) | 27 comments In the completed tasks with problems, it was said that this task required two new authors.
I want to confirm this here because the wording to me doesn't say so.

"...read 2 books written by one or two new-to-you authors"

"Your first book must be written by a new-to-you author. If you like that author, you may read another book written by that same author. If you don't like the author of the first book (or if you just want to broaden your horizons), you may pick another new-to-you author for the second book.

In other words, IF I want to I MAY choose another new-to-me author. IF I don't want to, I don't have to. Please help me with this :)

Or is it just that I may choose another author if I want, but then he also has to be a new one?

To me it's clear, it's as in your final sentence that I quote. The phrase "you may" here means "you are allowed to" (not "perhaps you will").

So you are allowed to read two books by the same new-to-you author, or two books by two different new-to-you authors. You don't have the option of reading one new-to-you author and another author that you have read before.

Just answering since nobody else has, and as you say, this is also how it's been interpreted in the 'Completed tasks with problems' thread.

Sorry, Marina. I didn't realize your question had gone unanswered until Rosemary bumped it back up to the top of the help thread.

Thanks, Rosemary! You're correct. The task says you may read a second new-to-you author if you did not like the first new-to-you author. There is no option for reading an author you've read before.
