What will the second book in the Birthright series be called? How much time will pass in between the two books?
Will we hear from Anya's brother again?
What do you imagine happened to the Empire State Building, or the Plaza Hotel, the (currently unfinished) Freedom Towers, etc, in Anya's future NYC?
Oh and where will the live chat be?
What advice would you give for a 14 year old wanna be author (aka me)?? :) And I LOVE LOVE LOVE your character Will in Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac :) He's one of the most realistic characters I've EVER read about
Q. What's one of the rules in All These Things I've Done that you would have broken?
Hi Gabrielle! I adore every single one of your books. :) Can you tell us anything about the second book in the Birthright series?
Hi Gabrielle! I adore every single one of your books. :) Q: Can you tell us anything about the second book in the Birthright series? I can't wait to read it!
Maybe my question is a bit crass, but it should be interesting. If you had to shag one, marry one, and kill one, of the following characters, who would be who: Win Delacroix from All These Things I've Done, Will from Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesic, and Owen from Elsewhere??
making a decision can be hard but we all have to make them. I don't know how to make mine. How did you know you wanted to
hi gabrielle! my favorite book by you so far is Memoirs of a Teenage Amesiac, when you wrote the book, what relations of your own life did you put in it, was there a James, was Naomi a symbol of maybe a time you felt out of place?
I am interested in hearing more of Gabrielle's vision of the future NYC. I'd like to know more about the surroundings. We touched on some places like Central Park but what about the Chrysler Building, Freedom Towers, Rockefeller Center. etc.?
Hi Gabrielle! I just wanted to stop by and say hi! And say thank you for writing such amazing story as Elsewere. It´s awesome! And I will definately check out All these things Iˇve done very soon. Again, big thank you for your writing! You rock! ;)
q When can we expect a cover or title reveal for book 2 in the Birthright series? Will the cover match the hardcover or paperback?
Q: Even though we see glimpses of what happened to Anya's world and can read between the lines a bit, will you reveal more about the government structure and the the specifics of the different crime families?
qAt the end of the first book, when Will comes to see Anya, he appears to have found out why she made the choice that she did. Does she go into detail with him in Book 2 or is there more of a time lapse between where the first book ends and the second one begins?
q'All These Things I've Done' take place in 2083, I believe. Since the future you portray in the book is extreme and ridden with crime, does it express your true thoughts for the future?
Q Thanks for doing this. I've added All These Things I've Done to my to-read shelf because of it. I'm a sucker for Dystopic fiction, which is currently the "in" topic. Other than your own, of course, what's your favorite dystopic book? And what's going to be the next big topic YA authors write about. (I think the progression has been Wizards, Vampires/Werewolves, Zombies, Dystopic... Gabrielle Zevin takes on the future...)
I still don't understand why chocolate and coffe are illegal in All These Things I've Done. And why did caffeine act like alcohol in this society?
Q I have the same question as Yarethzia! I have heard of you but I havent read any of your books. What kind of books do you like to wrtie?
q Hi I am writing a report on this chat! What is your book elsewhere about? I asked for it for Christmas (:
Are you not fond of chocolate and coffee as the reason to why they're illegal in All These Things I've done?
Hi Ms. Gabrielle Zevin! I'm a huge fan of your work! I have read Elsewhere, Memoirs of a Teenage Amnesiac and All These Things I've Done. I love that all your books have been a little different and your style of writing is absolutely wonderful. :) I was just wondering... How many books are you planning to write for in the Birthright series? Also, what inspired Birthright?
