I enjoyed that series.

carol. | 2616 comments Oh, good one, Traci. His Phule's Company is a little less silly than Myth series, but good.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 5387 comments I like Asprin. Snapped up the "Myth" books a while back.

Arthur Pindragon I just joined this group and I have read three - count them - selections from this list. And I've only read the first Potter book. Bleh.

message 205: by Joshua (new)

Joshua Black (b1gblack) I'm starting late, but I'm coming in at 20. I plan to add at least another 20 this year.

carol. | 2616 comments Auguste--no time like the present :)

Good luck, Joshua!

Alastair McDermott (amcdermott) | 3 comments I've read 49 of them. There are about 25 of the unread that I don't ever intend on reading - Mary Poppins, other YA stuff, the Trudi Canavan one, some of the yet-another-Arthurian-rewrites, etc. That leaves me about 25 strong suggestions which is pretty awesome :)

I agree. :-)

Anastasia Pergakis (avpergakis) | 10 comments I am a horrible fantasy fan! Out of 100 there I've actually read TWO. *headdesk* A few I saw the movie version but never actually read the book. Oh goodness. Okay, I'm going to save this list and start reading.

I feel like I'm not "geek" enough now. :(

Right? My TBR right now is filled with self-pub or new release stuff so now I have to join that with THIS monster of a thing. Oi! But, I'll try my best. Now that my son no longer destroys books (seriously) I'm able to read more often, so..slowly but surely I'll get there!

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 5387 comments Look on the bright side... All these great books still to discover. In a way I envy you your first read of many of these.

message 218: by Bryan (new)

Bryan | 33 comments Wow, great list! I've read 32 of the entries, although I didn't count entries where I've read one book of the seires and didn't move on to the rest, so I've actually read stuff by over half of the authors. Still, even though there are a bunch of authors on this list who I'm not a huge fan of and won't willingly read again(Piers Anthony, R.A. Salvatore, ect.), you guys have still added a good 20 titles to my list!

Damn you and thank you!

Our job here is done.

:-D

message 220: by carol. , Senor Crabbypants (new)

carol. | 2616 comments Maybe we should try it again, say just the top 20 or so. By the time we got to the end of the 100 list, a lot of the books just had one vote.

message 223: by carol. , Senor Crabbypants (new)

carol. | 2616 comments Right? But I'm not clever enough with the polling/stats part to figure out how to do it without using surveymonkey.

And this time, I'm not letting in Homer or Mary Poppins. :P

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 5387 comments Homer who....?

:)

message 225: by carol. , Senor Crabbypants (new)

carol. | 2616 comments Simpson.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 5387 comments ....I though maybe it was Homer Price.

message 227: by Bryan (new)

Bryan | 33 comments What's wrong with Homer? Witches, a cyclops, giants, sea monsters...sounds like fantasy to me.
