I just joined this group and I have read three - count them - selections from this list. And I've only read the first Potter book. Bleh.

I've read 49 of them. There are about 25 of the unread that I don't ever intend on reading - Mary Poppins, other YA stuff, the Trudi Canavan one, some of the yet-another-Arthurian-rewrites, etc. That leaves me about 25 strong suggestions which is pretty awesome :)

Late for the challenge, but gonna enjoy reading my way down this list anyways ^__^
I am a horrible fantasy fan! Out of 100 there I've actually read TWO. *headdesk* A few I saw the movie version but never actually read the book. Oh goodness. Okay, I'm going to save this list and start reading.I feel like I'm not "geek" enough now. :(

Now that my son no longer destroys books (seriously) I'm able to read more often, so..slowly but surely I'll get there!
Look on the bright side... All these great books still to discover. In a way I envy you your first read of many of these.
Wow, great list! I've read 32 of the entries, although I didn't count entries where I've read one book of the seires and didn't move on to the rest, so I've actually read stuff by over half of the authors. Still, even though there are a bunch of authors on this list who I'm not a huge fan of and won't willingly read again(Piers Anthony, R.A. Salvatore, ect.), you guys have still added a good 20 titles to my list!Damn you and thank you!
Maybe we should try it again, say just the top 20 or so. By the time we got to the end of the 100 list, a lot of the books just had one vote.

*strokes chin*
Right? But I'm not clever enough with the polling/stats part to figure out how to do it without using surveymonkey. And this time, I'm not letting in Homer or Mary Poppins. :P
