I finally checked my bookcases for books I would need and found that I have 52+ all from different countries and all unread! So I am going to try and read these first unless there is one that I really want to read elsewhere.

I own about 14. I need to get roughly 38 books (I think) and only one of them will need to be bought the other 37 will be from the library. But this could change depending on whether I change my mind about certain books.
Yay, 5 of my 7 books from Amazon have shipped and 2 will "ship soon"! When they arrive I will need 20 more.

I just recieved a copy of the book I was going to have to buy to review for NetGalley so hopefully now I won't have to buy any.

I've finally got all I wanted - got frustrated yesterday and searched until I had all 52 books covered ;).
Five arrived and I need 22 more. Many of my selections are rare in the US but considered of literature importance. Also, many are not yet available on Kindle yet so I have to order them after checking the library too. I am reading many books that are rare, important, and hard to find.
I will probably buy some Kindle book editions, but most of what I want to read I already posses, lacking the time in the past to read them. Others I want to obtain via my library which might be a challenge, because I'm used to read a lot of books in English and not all are available in the Netherlands.
I just had this emailed to me so I thought I should share (although I do hate giving away my bargain book places, so take this as a sign of how much I like you all).
The Book Depository is having a Tour Around the World for the next 12 days. Not sure where they are off to (Spain is today) but they seem to have specials on books from those countries. So if anyone is still looking to buy books, or is looking for ideas on certain countries, keep an eye on this over the next week or two.
Not sure if the US site is doing it too, but here's the link to the UK one (which I find cheaper 9 times out of 10 anyway): http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/on-to...

No worries! I'm so glad people are finding it useful!
If I may suggest a time sink, make sure you watch the google map of who around the world has bought what. I have spent so much time zoning out watching that. It's like gambling. You think if you look away, someone might buy something really interesting and you might miss out!!

I did not realize that The Shadow of the Wind was the first book of a triology? or series. Did you see the trailer for the third book? This has been one of my Spain selections but I am also reading DQ and Imperial Spain right now. (There is a free course from Yale available) Guess we are all getting absorbed with different countries.
