Judy (patchworkcat) | 2212 comments Nice list, Lesli. Would you like to join us for The House of the Spirits group read in July?

message 3: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Huston (telynor) | 101 comments Terrific list. I've read quite a few of these, so ask away if you have questions.

Anne (On semi-hiatus) (reachannereach) Wow, Lesli. The USA and 52 countries. What a challenge. Good luck.

Don (The Book Guy) (donthelibrarian) Lesli when I think about this goal it seems daunting, but I figure I will jump in and see how far I really get. I remind myself it is a fun goal and if I don't make it to the end, I will have at least gotten further than if I never started.

Yes, Don. To make the effort by starting even if your steps seem small; from there your ability and steadfastness will grow stronger and your goal will get closer to attainment.

Don (The Book Guy) (donthelibrarian) Thanks

Chrissie See this as an opportunity to discover great books and read as many as you can. Nothing more is necessary!

Angie (angie54321) | 23 comments Some interesting choices - and I have spotted one of my all time favourite books here - The Mosquito Coast. I've read it about 5 times now :)

message 10: by Lesli (new)

Lesli (lesmel) | 6 comments @Judy, i may join in for the group read. i'll put it in my calendar or i will completely forget.

@Don, if you are reading for the sake of hitting a number, that's not fun! enjoy what you read and you will be surprised by how many books you can finish in 52 weeks.

@Angie, i have wanted to read this book for years; and i've only seen pieces of the movie!

message 11: by Angie (new)

Angie (angie54321) | 23 comments @Lesli - the book is far superior to the movie - I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
