The Witcher 2 one you first posted is a good one to read to for me, but the Deus Ex is too busy, but I really like it. I'd just listen to that just because. :)

He has forgotten the face of his father. *shakes head*

Ooooh this is nice. I like. :D I wish I had my headphones here so I could do it justice, but they are at work. :(

You and my boyfriend would get along so well. I love bass, but seriously, there is not enough of it in the world to satisfy Thomas, I think. If he could build a house out of subwoofers, he would.

This really makes me feel like I should play more video games.

Oh, it was the playlist containing the very first Witcher 2 song you linked. LOL

There's something wrong with me.

But then, I'm sure you've guessed that by now. ;)

But, I've killed two hours, so back to reading Dance before bed. Working noon to midnig..."
I should be reading too. I have 3/4s of a brick and then 4 more books to finish in less than 2 weeks. O_o

That is neat...and I would totally have done it, too.!

Seriously. Damn thieving humans and hobbitses should've just given it back.

I'm kind of nervous about it, to be honest.

But also because I found out they brought back a lot of the characters from LotR.
That's off of the time line considerably.
I'm not capable of separating the two. I loathe and despise when a movie strays too far from a novel. I can understand having to leave out a few sections due to time constraints but using creative license to add in characters that don't belong? Sacrilege.

That's what my husband says...but I find it difficult to do.

As for Legolas, even though he's never mentioned in the Hobbit he is the son of the king of Mirkwood, who is mentioned (view spoiler) , and considering the lifespan of elves, there's no reason to think he wouldn't be there.
The hardest thing, I think, would be since the actors have aged, but they're supposed to be younger, to make them look younger - but I'm sure they'll use make-up and/or CGI magic for that. (Hopefully it'll turn out better than Professor Xavier showing up in Wolverine, though, 'cause that was terrible.)
The only character that I can find who's out of the timeline is Frodo - but he's only in the movie as part of the framing story they're using, since they're setting it up as old Bilbo telling Frodo the story. He's not actually there for the events during the Hobbit.
I know there were rumors they were bringing Aragorn into the movie, but I don't see him on the case list and haven't heard anything of him being in the movie, so that seems to have been nixed.
Am I missing anyone?
Never read the hobbit. Not interested in the movie.

I read it, but don't particularly care about the movie.

Good thing you're the sci-fi czar and not the fantasy one. I guess you get a pass. ;)
I actually read The Hobbit in high school and remember liking it much more than I did LotR (which I read several years later) - but my real Hobbit moment was the cartoon which my dad showed us as kids. :)
I'll go see The Hobbit, but I'm not all jonesing for it. I was excited, though, when I found out that the vampire from UK's Being Human is one of the dwarves... and again when I saw the trailer and realized that the guy who plays Bilbo is Watson from BBC's Sherlock. :>
But I won't be rereading the book, and don't remember all that many details about it, so I won't really know what's different and what's not when I go see the movie.
And, with that in mind, I thought the trailer looked pretty cool and the song they sang gave me chills - the good kind.
