Add an apostrophe to Authors. That's been bugging me since I joined. Other than that, I adore the title.

's shows possession, dear. It's not the authors lounge. It's the Author's Lounge. Otherwise it'd just be the Author Lounge.
Authors' Lounge? The plural possessive? But I am an engineer, so don't take my word for anything about grammar.
Ditto what Ward said. Plural possessive is correct because this is a lounge for more than one author. I'm a grammar freak so I had to weigh in! :)

I know it seems like a minor thing but if you're a writer (particularly if you self-pub) you need to care about the details. The readers will. When I read a book by an indie author and there are too many grammar mistakes that could have been easily corrected, I put the book down. I assume that a writer can't tell a story properly if he or she hasn't mastered the English language.

As the newest member just invited by Carroll...gotta be the plural possessive...Authors' Lounge works for me.
Authors Lounge would be right if it was about authors lounging around, taking a break, not a possessive, but a plural authors with a verb, like ships sailing!Planes fly. Rockets twirl. Rebels spout. Idiots glean.

I would agree with the possessive if we get to own the place. What is possession anyway? Sorry, have to go, my nurse has arrived.

I have issues with semi-colons. Nasty little buggers.
Of course Authors Lounge is not a place, its a description of a certain type of author. Its declarative too, and active. Perhaps it should be "The lounged author" to make it passive?
I'll be another to weigh in on the apostrophe. Definitely should be Authors' Lounge if this is our lounge. Possession of more than one person or thing would require an apostrophe at the end. I'm particular about that as well, and so is my wife, who isn't an author but does teach 8th grade English. As for semicolons, I hate them. Never should have been invented. They have only one good use. ;-)

I think ellipses are most effective at the level of the whole book. That's kind of what being and Indie author is like.
No apostrophe needed in my view. So many grammar "rules" are more like suggestions. Teachers Lounge, Pirates Cove. When it is the name of the thing more than literally, the lounge of the authors, one need not be so pedantic. I sort of like "Lounge Author" as in "Lounge Lizard" rather closer to what we do.

But...
I agree with Brett and I think that Carroll's initial spelling is fine. It's Ladies Room. Not Ladies' Room (and certainly not Lady's Room). It's Mens Room.
Maybe that's just colloquial spelling, but it feels right.
I think it's a little ironic. This is a "getting the word out" thread and how long have we gone on about the name of the group? Is this how it'll go for everything? Sigh. :-)

Many Authors in the lounge. lol I'm going to go have a drink.
Still think my solution is the best "Lounge Author," as in "Lounge Lizard."
