I recall reading a great biography of Miguel de Cervantes in about the 7th or 8th grade that was really good in covering his life as a soldier and as a prisoner and his troubles with the church.

The book would have had to have been published in or before and was definately NOT an adult read.

I've reviewed all of the books that I can find on goodreads and none seem to be the one I recall. Any ideas?
