Cotton(Kim, grits are corn ground up fine, put into a pot with salt and butter (1 part grits to 5 parts water), and cooked for 20 minutes until tender and creamy. When they're done, you can add sharp cheddar cheese to make them really tasty. More basic than polenta, but just as delicious.)
