I just wanted to let the group know that I will be around in limited amounts for a little while. I live in western MA and we got slammed with 17+ inches of heavy wet snow that cause lots of power outages and damage. My house is okay and I got power at 10:30 last night but I have no cable, internet or cell service. I was able to come to work today so I can check in now. I will post your nominations as soon as possible. :)
Sarah wrote: "Might I suggest White Christmas Pie by Beverly Lewis ? I don't know if y'all have read that one yet."Hi Sarah, that book is actually written by Wanda Brunstetter - you'll want to nominate on the Amish Group Reads nominations thread once I get that posted! This section is for non-Amish books. I'm just popping in in between lectures right now so won't have time to start the Amish threads until I get back from my next lecture, so keep your eyes peeled in a few hours!
Ahhhhhh I'm having a hard time picking! But I think I'll go with Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball by Donita K. Paul!It was tough to choose between that and The Christmas Cookie Killer by Livia J. Washburn, but Two Tickets won out!!! :)
How about I'll Be Home for Christmas by Julie L. Cannon? A friend loaned it to me & it's on my Christmas Reading Challenge.
Sarah wrote: "Oops! You're right, sorry!"No problem, Amish nominations are now open too so pop over there and nominate your book :)

Sorry, forgot to mention that An Amish Christmas: Expanded Edition by Wiseman, Fuller, Cameron (me!), and Kelly Long is available as a Kindle and Nook as well as paperback version (it was first published as a beautiful hardcover). Readers have said such nice things about it -- hope it's your December book whether it's a book club selection or one you add to your reading list!

I'd like to nominate this one too!
I know that I have been focusing mostly on the 300 member celebration BUT Rachel will be picking our grup read tomorrow. Please post your nomination if you have not done so already!
Yay, looking forward to seeing which book gets chosen! I do love how active the posts on here get around Christmas :)
Good morning GoodReaders! It's actually 9.30am over here, so don't think that I got up ridiculously early just to choose our next group read! Although this was one of the motivations for getting me out of bed!So, without further ado, our December read is:
4. A Log Cabin Christmas: 9 Nine Romances of American Pioneer Christmases by Various Authors
Congrats, Diane! I think everyone has had their eye on this book so it's a good choice :)
I read this one this month and really loved it! I liked all the stories but some stood out more than others.
A Log Cabin Christmas: 9 Nine Romances of American Pioneer Christmases is currently available over at NetGalley for FREE!!! Grab it while you can if you are planning on reading it next month! Thanks Amber for reminding me about this! :)
