I'm happy with any of them. :) Why don't we just pick one and tentatively schedule the rest for the following months? If for some reason we change our minds later or don't feel like continuing the buddy reads, then we can always stop. :)

lol! you guys are hooked! i'll go with anything - i'm easy to please and if i've already read, then I can talk about it still
I'm liking our little group. :) Also, I'm liking m/m because the conflicts are really strong but I don't know that I feel like joining another group. I read soo many things that I never feel like I can catch up with any genre. If we know which books we're reading in advance, we can always recommend them in the buddy reads with the PIFM challenge and hopefully get more people to read with us. :)
Okay I've upgraded my review to 3 stars. After reading it again, I like it a bit more, but still not more than that. I can see more of why Ty and Zane behaved the way they did (partially) but wish they would have opened up more to each other than beat around the bush about things. I've heard good things about book 2, so I'll dig that one up at some point to read it.
Excellent ideas!OK - let's get this sorted: the order of suggestion becomes the order for reading...
December: Nothing Ever Happens
January: A Red-Tainted Silence
February: Where the Allegheny Meets the Monongahela
How does this suit? Or do you want to read 'Red' upfront so that Dee can get stuck into her sequel?
You decide on the order, Dee. I'm fine either way. :)Now we know one of the books to recommend for the PIFM buddy reads...that is, if we think the person wouldn't mind reading m/m. :)
Works for me!Now we only need to wait for a 50% off (or more) coupon from fictionwise to buy the books. Right now the coupon is just 25% off.
Sounds good on the order and caveat. :) Whoever discovers FW to have a 50% off or more coupon first, please PM the rest of us :)
LOL I hate to be left out, and some days I don't always check the boards. 'Sides that discount is UBER ;)
for you m/m readers - our next ask an author is going to be LA Witt who writes m/m - if you wanna chat with her
Thanks Dee - I haven't read an LA Witt book yet, but I know I have one waiting. I'll try to read it and duck my head into the conversation at some point (if I've read the book in time).
FW has 45% off all non-Samhain titles until end of Sunday - code 111111... I picked up ARTS, just in case Xmas causes the FW discounts to remain lower, rather than lifting up over 50%...

Ok, I joined this group for the LA Witt discussion (thanks Dee!) and then I stumbled across this discussion.
All three of those books are excellent, and so I'll be popping in to re-read/discuss with you guys.
Also want to say that I love Ty and Zane and the C&R series. Yeah, the mysteries are kinda implausible, but I look at this series as kinda like movies like Lethal Weapon and Die Hard. No, the stuff that happens in them would NEVER happen in real life, but sometimes it's good to just turn the brain off and enjoy the ride. This series is the ultimate buddy cop type series, with added bits of manlovin in to spice things up.

Hi Smut Bitch! Welcome! I think we have another couple of ppl who will also join our monthly M/M buddy read... A neat little group of about 6 of us I suspect :)*note to self - see if Fran is interested*
Thanks! I got hooked on m/m early last year, and other than a few exceptions her and there, it's almost all I've read since. I'm hooked, and love finding discussions like these.
I'm only recent - about Aug/Sept this year. But I love it - all my normal roms are being nearly wholly ignored! And I have a heap of these other books in MMPB waiting to be read. I'll slowly inch my way through them, but it will be to complete challenges most likely :) M/M are definitely getting precedence at the moment...
Hi hi! I'm loving the M/M genre myself. FYI: am working my way through
. It's the second in the series, but the first one, Demon Moon, was not a M/M, but more of a paranormal erotica novel. Anyways, it's very good so far. Cain and Luke's interactions are very sweet, and are heating up for sure! *fans self* definately a winner so far.
Hey, all, sorry to pop my head in, but if any of you are in the M/M group and want to continue reading the Cut & Run series, I started up a buddy read for it over there, starting now and ending in January (or whenever we all finish, lol). If you have any interest, drop by. :)
Thanks Harper - good move! *As Harper already knows, Shell and I are doing the C&R series buddy read in the M/M group* Come one (uh, two), come all!BTW - Fran will also join us for the December buddy read here :)
Sad news everyone - from Madeleine Urban's website:Nov. 17, 2011 - I have made the personal decision to stop writing, for reasons that are important to me, including focusing on my family and my health. Writing and publishing comes with a whole set of expectations and pressures, and I find that it's just too much. While I am sad that this will upset and/or even anger readers, this is the right decision for me.
Thank you for reading,
Madeleine
:(
Have fun ladies!I'm not joining any more new groups. I'm stressed out as it is trying to accommodate so many buddy reads! :)
Abigail posted something in the Ty Zane group about it - saying that Madeline has gone into seclusion. She has contacted lawyers about relinquishing her rights to the characters; deleted all her journal entries and isn't even talking to Abigail - so it is going to be up to A to write the rest of the series
