message 2: by Mim (new) - rated it 4 stars

Mim no shit. i still think its pretty good though.

~iMoiselleChanel~ That's usually how it goes when they turn books into tv shows/movies. I watched the first episode of the show when I was almost done reading the first book and I just said "nevermind, not going to do it " lol. Because I knew I was going to be upset that they were absolutely nothing a like and I was liking the book so much.

S/N: I actually stopped watching Gossip Girl because of this same reason. I was too much of a fan of the books that the tv show just made me mad.

Melissa I agree that it is nothing like the book, but I think that it is interesting to see how they make a tv show and base it off the book. I kind of like seeing how they will change it or how similar they will keep it. If they make the tv shows nothing like the books, then I will hate it(kind of like Pretty Little Liars now)

Jennie I like the fact that they are completely different because than watching the show and reading the books will enetertain you without giving away any details about each other.

Sara They shouldn't make shows about the books. The shows always turn out horrible because don't follow the storyline at all. Pretty Little Liars is actually pretty good but it's nothing like the books. But I don't like the Lying Game and I probably wouldn't even like it if I didn't read the book.

same XD

ayala7 i'd take a book any day. It's really hard for shows to measure up to the books. The show is just ok but nothing worth talking about. The book on the other hand, brilliant!

It's not suppose to the author does that on purpose she doesn't want her audience bored so she switches it up to keep u enthralled

Sabzzy123 Exactly...

Jennie the t.v show says that it is based on the books. that means that it will have the same basic ideas of the book but will not follow the book exactly.

Actually it keeps switching O.o In some episodes it says "Based upon the book" and others it says "Based on the series of books".

Exactly. I do like the show more because the plot is better. The books are all about the lying games and these horrible teenagers. With the show you have that and more. It has more substance. Both are excellent entertainment though.

Sarah Fergione Most shows seem to follow somewhat closely for the first season, then go off from there. But this show is NOTHING like the books besides *most* of the character names. Sutton isn't even dead. Kind of wish it was slightly more related to the books.

Agree- Sutton isn't even dead in the show!

Sarah Fergione Well at the beginning at least. And it's called "the lying game" yet they don't even play the lying game
