Stacy-Deanne Stacy-Deanne (wwwgoodreadscomstacydeanne) LOL!

I've been revising one of the books in my series and I just realized there are goo-globs of interracial relationships AKA couples!

I have a black woman and a Cuban man.

I have a white woman in a triangle with two black men.

The black woman also has a white guy who wants her along with her white ex who still holds a torch!

The white woman has been having an affair with a Cuban guy herself WHILE being in the triangle with the black men.

What's funny is I didn't plan this how it turned out but I love it. I am really enjoying writing this story!

And you wonder how I mange to put all this together and all that mind-numbing suspense? Wow. I am great aren't I? ROFL!

Anyway, you ever be in the middle of writing something then sit down and go, "Wow, didn't realize I had all that going on?" LOL!

I think when we get caught up in our stories, we don't see how it looks to the outsider until we reflect.

Boy am I loving writing this story! So exciting!

Best Wishes!

It probably reflects your view of the world. Diversity is normal for you, so you write from that standpoint. I'm glad you're enjoying writing your story!

Stephanie Williams | 128 comments That's what I was going to say. Well put Lady Danielle. It's just the way you live and your lifestyle and the way you see things.

I can't writing anything but IR. I mean when I start a story, automatically the woman is black (like me) and the hero is all kinds of races, (like the men I use to date before I married)

You know that saying: Write what you know. :)

Stacy-Deanne Stacy-Deanne (wwwgoodreadscomstacydeanne) Wow, Danielle. I never thought about it like that but you have a point. To me this is just normal, to someone else they might find it weird to have all these mixtures.

I love writing IR and multicultural fiction. I think it's the only fiction that truly mirrors our world.

Stacy-Deanne Stacy-Deanne (wwwgoodreadscomstacydeanne) Stephanie, I agree!

I think it shows when writers write something they are passionate about. You can tell when you read a book if the author is truly connected with the aspects of their novel.

I love writing about different races and showing that love doesn't have anything to do with color or at least it shouldn't.

I totally agree with you philosophy. A monotonal world is so boring to me.

Chaeya | 454 comments Stacy,

This is happening in my second book of my series where I have about four different relationships going on that are all across the board multi-cultural-wise. There aren't any racial issues going on between them, there's other conflicts happening to keep people busy.
