100 reasons? Wow. Um...1)It made me cry and laugh
2)Made me wonder what I would do if it was real!
3)Awesome characters
4)Kinda realistic in some aspects of it
5)Scary - Capitol, number of deaths
6)The war bit of it was sad but made me realize and imagine what it would be like to be a vicim.
7)Child cruelty! (I didn't like this part but it was very sad.)

I think it's a reflection of how our society is set up, taken to the extreme. You have the rich folks at the top who keep getting richer, giving no thought to the poor people who are at the bottom scrambling for crumbs, killing one another just to survive. It could be taken as a warning to us all of what the future could be like if we keep going in the same direction we have been going. It shows how there is power in numbers, that if people stand together and fight for a common cause, things can actually start to change. There are a lot more people scrambling than there are people at the top calling the shots, so we have the advantage. I think people sometimes feel powerless even though the power has been in their hands all along. That's what I love most about this series...that and the characters are easy to relate to-even the eccentric ones. The relationships throughout the series are also very easy to identify with.
