November's Build Your Own Challenge Challenge
✿Michelle✿ wrote: "Ok ladies, I'm reading that one first. I don't have my own copy, but my mother does. I'll steal borrow it first thing in the morning, LOL!"I am soooooooooooooooo excited for you to read it. LOVE LOVE LOVE Houston!!!!!!!!
This is my first time doing this - not sure what I'm doing. These are all books that I have rented from the library and need to read and return, so there's double reason to get this done. Some of these authors are new to me and I'm really excited to read them; other books I've had on my TBR for a while, but never got around to it. So here goes:1. Comanche Moon ✔ (11/10)
2. Captives of the Night ✔ (11/4)
3. Heart of the West
4. The Shadowy Horses ✔ (11/19)
5. Unclaimed
6. Frederica
I am going to go with Kesha's idea and finish my BYOC from October. I really want to get to that cookie book.
0/3
Cookie Month - 1 book pertaining to cookies.
1. Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder, by Joanne Fluke (library ebook)
Sarcastic Month - 1 book with a character that is sarcastic.
2. Love, Lies and Liquor, by M.C. Beaton (OD audio)
Seafood Month - 1 book that has something to do with the sea.
3. Lover's Lane, by Jill Marie Landis (OD audio)
Speaking of Cookie Books, this one is not.BUT... it's a cookbook free for Kindle today -

Although I'm doing the Spell it Out Challenge, I'm also going to do this one. November I'm usually cleaning up from Halloween, there are a lot of decorations to put away. So I'm challenging myself to "clean up"/read the 4 books from the library that I've had checked out for about 2 months (some 3 months). So the challenge is to read them and send them back.

What did you think about Belong to Me and Mardi Gras? I haven't read Mardi Gras but BtM was one of my favorites this year.

Aly, Belong to me is a solid 4, maybe even 4.5. I loved Logan and Tara, a lot. She's the first of Shayla's heroines who didn't have those horrid TSTL moments that so many of her heroines do. I've often said that SB can't write heroines well, but she did this time! Loved it!
OOoops, I confused "Mardi Gras" with "Lynda's Lace..."Mardi Gras was okay, too. I loved getting Tyler's story and for sure it was very hot.

Lynda's Lace was okay. It'll be 3 stars, but I didn't like Lynda's hesitance to be honest with Jordan about her "darker desires..." and then the "revelation" sex scene at the end didn't do a lot for me, but I'm not all that into f/f action.
