I agree. The author had a really great story set up in Fallen but never fully developed or explained anything. I have no interest in reading the 4th book.
You should read the 4th book! I agree there's not much 'news' in this book, but I loved the past lives of Lucinda anyway. But it ends with a major cliffhanger and they're definately tying up loose ends in the sequel! Maybe you could just read the last few pages, so you'll know what's gonna happen in 'Rapture'. It's gonna be worth it, trust me! Epic!
It was my favourite of the series so far...I thought it explained a lot of questions I had and it showed why Luce and Daniel were so in love.
I personally don't like stories where the characters are just crazy in love for no apparent reason and this book, for me, showed there was more to their relationship than what we'd seen before.
@JessicaI completely agree with you. Although Torment truly tormented me. I felt like Passion was okay... But not in a way that I'd read it again and again. I thought Fallen was okay therefore I read Torment. I didn't like Torment too much but I was thinking maybe the third will be better. Passion was draining from the start and then I felt like Luce was extremely stupid to not figure out the whole Bill thing.
@Brittany I agree... she did start off okay with Fallen. I would have loved it if Torment would have wowed me. I don't really like stupid, naive, or selfish protagonists. They annoy me. The only reason why I'll read the last 4th book is because I've read the other 3 books and now I need to know what will happen in the end. Also, I like the minor characters.
I love Daniel and I think book 4 will be much better. I am a very optimistic person if it comes to my fave character. Nothing can sway me.How's that sound Kimi? Quite lame, rite? hahaha.
@Nurlely Not LAME! lol we can only hope that it will be amazing! I hope Luce and Daniel stick together and figure out this mess... I want to see their love in the present! =) And I want Cam happy and Arriane and ummm Roland! =)Have you read Divergent? I just finished it and loved it! Such a good read!
i don't know....it was kind of boring following Luce to all their past lives...plus there was nothing special about them...i just hope that the last book will be better...:(
@Annizaki i agree with you .I really hope that it gets better and that Luce stop being so depressing
Fallen was the series that actually got me into reading books, so I have to finish it. Though, I must say that Lauren Kate's plot is not very well developed (so far). Who knows, maybe she'll pull it all together in Rapture. I'm really hoping so. So far, a lot of things are not making sense to me. It all seems like a bunch of random information all put together in these three books. If she does pull it all together in Rapture, I have a feeling it will be a pretty good series. I'm also a sucker for time travel books, (especially with some struggling romance thrown in). ;D
xD:) same here although i'm not sure that the last book will be good...i mean there is still so much to explain and the plot is already messed up...
Annizaki wrote: "xD:) same here although i'm not sure that the last book will be good...i mean there is still so much to explain and the plot is already messed up..."You are completely right. I've found that sometimes the last book in a series is the longest, depending on how much the author has to piece together. So, it could go either way, I suppose
I agree I didn't finish it! I give up on the whole series. The first two weren't that great either but this one really blew. I'll read some spoilers later to hear how it all ends but I'm not wasting any more time when there are soooo many awesome books out there.
I agree! I enjoyed the first two and then book three came along and was really disappointed and annoyed.
Surprisingly, I liked Passion the best. I like to know how things all started. It has to have some importance later, you know? Torment was my least favorite. It just kept dragging on and on about nothing really. The only important thing that happened was the fact that she learned how to manipulate the shadows.

It did get pretty boring following Luce everywhere. I mean it was entertaing for awhile then it just didn't seem as intresting anymore. I definetly hope the next book is better.

I have read Divergent. Totally awesome! I am looking forward for the next book. What about Delirium? Have you read it? I love it too.
yeah plus i think it was confusing. and since english is not my mother tongue i had trouble keeping up. btw i read some comments about rapture and they said that the don't expect it to be any better than passion
Annizaki wrote: "yeah plusi think it was confusing. and since english is not my mother tongue i had trouble keeping up. btw i read some comments about rapture and they said that the don't expect it to be any better..."i don't think it was your english. you rated it higher than i did. it definitely erased all thoughts of reading passion from me.
It seems like the 2nd book in this genre seems to be frustrating. The couple is not together so the female gets depressed or annoying. Think Twilight and Hush, Hush.

I have read D..."
No prob at all... half the time I miss when people do respond to something I say because I get so many notifications! lol I wish they would separate them some kinda way. Haven't read Delirium yet but I plan on reading it really soon. I'm in the beginning of Hunger Games #1. =) Finally, I know!
I kind of feel like this series has been going downhill since Fallen. Every book leaves me questions then answers and I just don't feel anything for Luce or Daniel. I will probably read Rapture just because she's sucked me in, but I really hope it gets better...

I admit this wasn't one of my favorite books out of the series... all the time travelling got a bit annoying... but I'll still read the fourth book just to find out what happens in the end.
I really liked this book, actually. I was so excited for the Fallen series when it first came out, but Torment was HORRIBLE! Luce's character was so stupid... but I think she redeemed herself a little in this one.. can't wait for Rapture!
