The House of Night series is one of those series you regret reading. I have read all 10 books and either I;m some sort of masochist who enjoys torturing himself by reading horrible books or I finished them just because I had them.

Zoey is quite possibly one of the most annoying characters ever thought up....Maybe even more horrible than that Jayce kid from The Immortal Instruments series...

Yea I know quite a few people who love it, the HoN series. I just can't say that I liked it. I like the concept, a few of the characters, but overall it's still a series that I dislike.

The HoN books seem to be ones that people either love or hate and while Zoey is a complete twit, I still like the series for other reasons like the Stevie Rae/Rephaim relationship and Kalona.

I've had so many emotional reads lately, I need some I can read without thinking. I'm going to put off the other books on my list for a week or so. I really need a break from the heavy material lolz. I just can't get myself to read and the other books. :P

I'm going to read and the rest of this series to recover. They always help.

Also, I lied. A few pages in, I realized that this is the fifth book in a series, and I need to read the second one next...whoops. So instead I will read
and see if I can survive yet another book in the House of Night series :)

Yes I must say I love Harry and all the characters so far. I'm so close to caught up and since I have all 14 books and the side jobs arc also I'm hoping not to miss much and have a full view of how it all plays out up to Cold Days.

Things are really really interesting. I Hope (view spoiler)[that Lash isn't completely gone, I like how Harry and his subconscious turned her into more than just a fallen angel trying to get him. He helped that part of Lash become self aware, that will be a BIG power in the future, if Jim Butcher goes that way with the story...but don't tell me, I will find out this week lol (hide spoiler)]

I think I should be able to start Cold Days by the end of the week.
