Cappy (cappy_gmac) | 25 comments Hi, I'm not sure what I want to do... I am about 5 chapters into On Basilisk Station (Honor Harrington series) but I really want to try and start doing the S&L book club... Ready Player One really interests me (I enjoyed Daemon a whole lot!!!) But normally I just do one book at a time (I am an audio book only guy)

Also I'm a new listener to the Sword and Laser, and just today got caught up to the latest podcast. I do plan to go back and read the book club picks starting with Shadow and Claw.

Well thanks

Michael (michaelbetts) I find doing S&L through Audible (or other audiobook) provides a nice separation for me.

I didn't like On Basilisk Station much at all. Ready Player One is much more entertaining.

Kris (kvolk) I would start RP1...it will go fast.

kvon | 563 comments Finish Basilisk. But don't go further in the series.

Part of the question is how long does it take you to 'read' a book--a week? a month?

itrooper | 20 comments I am audiobook only as well. Start RP1 now a couple of days later you can go back to Basilisk. Seriously RP1 is a fast read... er listen. Will Wheaten is great too.

Cappy (cappy_gmac) | 25 comments Thanks I think I just really needed the push to switch to rp1... On basilisk station isn't bad but it just hasn't hired me yet... Well i'm going to get rp1 on audible tonight and hopefully finish this weekend... Got a lot of house things to do (putting down wood floor in my bedroom)

Don | 80 comments It's an engaging audiobook! It kept me working, a sure sign of good listen.

Cappy (cappy_gmac) | 25 comments Also out normally takes me a while to finish an audio book since I normally only listen while at work out ding chores... I finished a dance with dragons in 3-4 Weeks. I also listen to about 12 TWiT podcasts a week too...

Cappy (cappy_gmac) | 25 comments Just finished this morning... I wanted it to continue a little more... Good book I would definitely recommend it to anyone who liked Daemon.

Thanks again for pushing me to switch out it, now to finish Basilisk Station.
