"Most of my endings aren't actually cliffhangers. They just leave unanswered questions. Mark of Athena, however, ah... never mind."
grrr

Lol when I read that, it was funny, but really really annoying too. Dx

i hated how in the first chapter annabeth kept calling jason perfect, i mean, what is she tryin to say??

Yeah I don't know what it is. But I think it might be be some sort of scar just because it is a 'mark'.

I think she's trying to say that she's annoyed with Jason and his "perfect-ness" too lol.

And Jason is perfect, as in well behaved and nothing like a "greek". I love the contrast between the meetings. The Roman one is all serious with formal wear, where as they set ping-pong balls on fire at the Greek meetings lol. The Romans are just way too serious.

i think its like a curse or something, cuz in the first chapter didnt she keep talking about some weird feeling

Maybe annabeth got it because she was the best and Athena knew that she could carry out the task or mark or whatever it is.

An..."
Hmm. That's an interesting idea, that Athena gave her something that would be considered a gift or responsibility. Annabeth would know the stress of accomplishing it, so that's why she'd think it was bad. It would explain why she'd want to pray to her mother still, I don't think she would if she were mad at her.

Yeah because Annabeth did say that she wishes she could talk to her, but she didn't because of what was given to her. And apparently it gives her the chills (well, I'm guessing that's what the "evil snowman" is all about)

ya, maybe, this is probably not it, but maybe its like a curse from gaea or something

In the back cover for "mark of Athena", it is stated :
"In her pocket Annabeth carries a gift from her mother that came with an unnerving demand: Follow the Mark of Athena. Avenge me. Annabeth already feels weighed down by the prophecy that will send seven demigods on a quest to find—and close— the Doors of Death. What more does Athena want from her?"
So, maybe there's a smaller quest for Annabeth to regain Minerva's place as a major Roman goddess alongside Jupiter and Juno...
Thoughts ?

oh ya, that makes sense...what do u think shes going to do

I figured she wouldn't have pissed off her mom. This is going to cause Percy problems, because he'll probably want to help Annabeth over the quest.
