I have a copy of this book that I just finished reading. It has the same ISBN but it's a hardcover edition. Is this a case where we would make an alternate cover edition or is there a way to list it as being in multiple formats? The hardcover edition has a slightly different number of pages.

Nenangs | 464 comments i believe it is an autoupload from b&n, which usually has some incorrect data (amazon and b&n both) especially title, language, format, author(s), page numbers, etc.

double use of ISBN is not uncommon, but so far i haven't found it on the same book with different formats. usually it was different cover art.

If you're sure that you hold the correct book, just edit the book data (if you're a librarian) or ask a librarian to edit them for you.

I've seen ISBNs used for multi formats, quite a few times, so it can happen :)
