Carroll said this was a pretty good group. So, hello everyone.
Hi, I want to introduce myself. I'm a professor and poet in NYC. I've had a number of chapbooks published and also 2 full-length books, Salem in Séance (WordTech Editions), which I've posted (I hope that doesn't violate any rules, but it seemed to be okay) and Elvis Presley's Hips & Mick Jagger's Lips, which is forthcoming (Anaphora Literary Press). I look forward to communicating with all of you.
I've just published a historic novel, "Knight of the Purple Ribbon: A Novel(Baron de Graffenried's Colonial Adventures)", on Amazon. The Book is based on the memoir of my ancestor Christoph de Graffenried, who founded the town of New Bern, North Carolina. You can read the first three chapters on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Knight-Purple-R...

Sounds interesting. I will try to get to it soon.

Somehow I didn't realize that we were encouraged to introduce not only ourselves but our books. I've just released an historical novel, "Sown in Tears," which I'm thrilled to say has gotten some very wonderful reviews.(www.beverlymagid.com) The story is set in Russia, 1905, restless, turbulent times for the country, especially bad for the Jewish communities. It's dramatic, heroic and focuses on a young Jewish woman, her family and her path to a new life. www.amazon.com print/kindle

Really you should be posting this in "Bragging Rights."
The novel sounds very interesting. The heroine of my novel. "Sophie Paraskova," is a Russian Jew who in the late 19th century, flees to the U.S. with her family in order to escape the pogrom after the assassination of Tzar Alexander. She settles on NYC's Lower East Side and becomes an anarchist.

I'm not familiar with "Bragging Rights." How do I access that? Your novel also sounds interesting and like the sequel to mine,
hi everybody, my name is billy. i've just moved over from another group, hoping this one is a little more workshop-focused and a little less twilight-focused, not that there's anything wrong with that. i just published my first novel on amazon, there's a link and an excerpt in my bio, and i want to swap feedback with other authors.
