usually it's the ending that dwells in my memory. however, in this story, i found the beginning to be the breath taking part of the story. whenever The Hunger Games are mentioned, it's the beginning that i recall, and it's because of the beginning i continued reading. i only wish if the ending was as powerful.

All three were really good!!! :DAll of them had fast action and adrenaline, and the way it was written made me think that I was the one experiencing them. It made me cry several times and that's saying something, since I almost never cry over books. It's hard to put emotions on paper.
Then again, the least book I liked among the three was Mockingjay. Could have done a better ending. I didn't like that Katniss was partly insane. :(
Mockingjay was my fave. I enjoyed the Hunger Games well enough, though could draw connections to many other books already published. But Mockingjay pulled everything together to make a more original story overall. Plus I loved the warning it gives us all, and the way it makes people think about the lessons in it and how they can be applied to the life we currently live - in terms of political structures and relationships.
Hunger Games. It was compelling. The others merely built on that. Mockingjay was my least favourite.
CATCHING FIRE ALL THE WAY! it was the most entertaining, it had the most characters, and i loved learning about the other victors.
Hunger games! Catching fire was ok, but happening to follow what it seems a lot of ppl r saying, I didn't enjoy Mockingjay. It dragged on for me and got rid of the essence of the first two books...the hunger games!
Catching fire. in my opinion, the first and the middle books of the series are the best, and the last is the worst (besides HP) 1. all the new characters
2. gale's in it more
3. FINNICK
4. haymitch's hunger games

I agree
HUNGER GAMES!!!! I felt like Catching Fire was more of a bridge between book 1 and 3, and Mockingjay was the end......and nobody wants this awesome series to end! ;(
Catching fire was the best. It is like an improved version of the hunger games (book). But mockingjay, errrr, lost that "thing" I had with ThE Hunger Games and Catching Fire
MOCKINGJAY was AWESOME & easily the best by far.......THG was good, CF didn't do it for me at all, seemed like a re-write of THG.

Catching Fire seemed redundant, going through an entire hunger games all over again. Hunger Games was really fascinating and new, and Mockingjay was just plain super super cool (although the ending was a little blasé)
compared to mockingjay and catching fire, the hunger games is by far the better choice.I don't know, perhaps it is because I like getting to know the characters and all but still it seems like the other two books weren't as exciting and consuming as the first. I am not saying they were not good in their own right, just that they had a sort of gloomy factor in their entirety which took away from the greatness it could have.
Mockingjay is the best. It develops on Katniss' relationships with the other characters and I like the action in it. It also shows how all the decisions Katniss made in the first two books and what it comes down to. It's amazing and I can't wait until the movies come out.
definitely catching fire because in a story you have the begging where we learn about the characters and have a little struggle via Hunger Games and the middle where the climax happens and surprises happen via Catching Fire and then the end where the characters finish anything that wasn't finished and the struggle and heart ache dies down via Mockingjay. So as you can see the most exciting is the middle or Catching Fire the one i would choose. I mean they are all a outstanding read and are filled to the top with suspense but Catching Fire in my opinion is the best
The Hunger Games is the best. Then Catching Fire, the Mockingjay. Basically, the more mental problems Katniss had, the worse the book was.
Catching Fire is my favorite. Hunger Games is the start, and I think that's why people love it the most. Catching Fire is the best to me because Katniss begins to really love Peeta. I read that book in 3 or 4 hours. Mockingjay was somewhat disappointing, not because it didn't end perfect, but because I felt empty. Maybe that was because that's how Katniss felt for so much of the book. Also, Gale's character changed too much for me. He wasn't the same. And I totally hated how Finnack died so dismissively. But I still loved all of them.
