All of them had fast action and adrenaline, and the way it was written made me think that I was the one experiencing them. It made me cry several times and that's saying something, since I almost never cry over books. It's hard to put emotions on paper.
Then again, the least book I liked among the three was Mockingjay. Could have done a better ending. I didn't like that Katniss was partly insane. :(

it was the most entertaining, it had the most characters, and i loved learning about the other victors.

1. all the new characters
2. gale's in it more
3. FINNICK
4. haymitch's hunger games

I agree

Agreed. Catching Fire seemed redundant, going through an entire hunger games all over again. Hunger Games was really fascinating and new, and Mockingjay was just plain super super cool (although the ending was a little blasé)

I don't know, perhaps it is because I like getting to know the characters and all but still it seems like the other two books weren't as exciting and consuming as the first. I am not saying they were not good in their own right, just that they had a sort of gloomy factor in their entirety which took away from the greatness it could have.
