Fade or Stalker?
Fade started to come around at the end of Outpost when he told Duece he wanted to go with her. Maybe Tegan was right when she told Duece that no one knows what happened to Fade while he was kidnapped. It may have been something bad enough to scar him emotionally.

I choose Fade. I see a strong bond between duce and fade. Stalker is just a trainining partner to her.
Cris wrote: "I choose Fade. I see a strong bond between duce and fade. Stalker is just a trainining partner to her."Exactly. Deuce and Fade have fought together and I think Deuce have a stronger bond with Fade than with Stalker...
I was on team Fade for most of the time but there was that one point where he basically completely ignored Deuce and made no attempt to talk to her because he gave up to soon, so I was mad at him then. Other than that though, TEAM FADE
Palina wrote: "I was on team Fade for most of the time but there was that one point where he basically completely ignored Deuce and made no attempt to talk to her because he gave up to soon, so I was mad at him t..."Oh yeah you're right about that. Fade was so protective on the first book and now in Outpost, he's totally change, it really irks me when he ignore Deuce. That's why I seem to like Stalker more on the second book though I don't see a Stalker-Deuce pairing coming true. I'm still for Fade, I'm watching out for what will AA do in the next installment.
The fact that Stalker is even considered a love interest disturbs me. He is an established rapist and has a despicable opinion of women, whether or not he views Deuce as an exception. You should not be attracted to this. This was the one thing in the book I couldn't stand. Deuce should not have let him near her like that. His adorable nickname? A weak, tiny bird that can only defend itself by RUNNING AWAY FROM DANGER. That's right Deuce, run away from him. Run fast. Fade and Deuce had the best chemistry. I loved the moments they shared together, ALONE. When other characters came in, they fell apart because they didn't just talk over their problems. I hope the next book the sort out all the nonsense misunderstandings and jealousy. Deuce said it best, "I miss when it was me and Fade against the world." That was the high point of the book.

THANK YOU. I can't believe this is even a question.
I agree. Plus we barely know stalker! He was introduced so late! Fade and Deuce formed this connection by being Hunters together and I think they work great together. THEY SHOULD STAY TOGETHER
Daisy97 wrote: "It's really dumb. Bringing Stalker into this book was a low point for Ann. That drove me insane, I felt the whole thing fell apart after that. Also she set Stalker up as this terrible, sadistic person then all of the sudden it was like "Never mind! He's super considerate and nice now, he gave me a sweet nickname!"
UGH.

Though Deuce was not helping the situation, Fade should have just talked to her.
I totally agree! I'm kind of mad at Fade, because In the end of Outpost he wouldn't even look at her!! I was sooo sad:(

You know I could believe he is capable of change but to think that his motives weren't even questioned in the first book disturbs me. You can sense his interest then and it annoys me that Deuce doesn't see how wrong that is. No body changes that quickly. He thought that raping people was okay. Sure it was a way of survival and what not but to think that it's okay and to overlook it..... yeah.

I feel he could redeem himself, but no work was put towards it. He just acts nicer. But he explicitly states what happened to Tegan was kind of her fault because she didn't fight back hard enough, and Deuce agrees. Under no circumstances is that okay to me.
Oh you haven't read the sequel? I think you may want to kill Deuce in the sequel and bang your head on a wall because of Fade. Stalker remains Stalker but becomes more serious with "the moves".
interestingly, reading Enclave only i was team fade but my opinion is changing a little bit as i'm into Outpost. i think that Stalker is a product of how he was raised and when put into a different situation, he's really not all that bad. so we'll see what happens as i finish book 2 and wait on book 3

I'd go for Fade myself, but I think Deuce is better suited to Stalker because they seem very alike & he is more capable of expressing his feelings for her. Deuce seems a little confused about her feelings & what do do about them, let alone understand how Fade feels or how to comfort him, unfortunately. She'll just make a mess of Fade.
I'm all for Stalker. He was a complete jerk in the begaining, but slowly he changed into a better person; he's not the only one who was terrible. Duece is has killed people too(some who she now knows were innocent) and it was just how they were raised. he didn't know any better and now he does.

I find Stalker interesting as a character but not as a love interest. Also, his name is STALKER, how can a guy with a name like that be a love intesrest....Some spoilers:
Anyway, I prefer Fade as a love interest. Just because he acts a little nicer is book 2 doesn't make him a good guy and yes I can understand the meaning behind some of his actions and yes I know, survival times etc. but to me, while it explains some of his actions and choices of life, it doesn't justify all of them. And yes Deuce isn't perfect of course (sometimes it feel like the way she is and the way she wants to live her life is the only way to do so, just like when she almost jusges Tegan because she ''should'' have frought until she died just like she would have done...yes, of course Deuce, there is only one way to reacts when something terrible happens to you) but she deserves to be with a nice guy. Also, I think that her and Stalker are too much a like and her and Fade complete each other because they're different but not that different, if that make sense...

Haha, you make sense. I get where you are coming from. Not everybody has the same view. Many people think Stalker hasn't really changed, and that's okay.

Ya I can see that, but he honestly did change. Him and Tegan making peace is one example, but I think the biggest one is that he helped Deuce find Fade when he could have just gave him up for dead. He doesn't want to just be the rebound. He wants her to choose him for the right reasons. I understand that his past isn't a good one but he is making an honest effort to make his future a good one. And that's why I like him. He knows his past was not always a good one (His face shows he had to fight tooth and nail to survive) but he is making the best of getting a brighter future.
FADE FADE FADE FADE!! Deuce and him were getting so close before Stalker butted in. Jus this once I was hoping there would be no love triangle.

That's exactly how I feel about him. :D
Fade, but there was definitely some respect lost when Deuce and Stalker started training together and Fade got all guarded and started spending time with Tegan. Why can no one actually fess up to their feelings? >.<
I think Fade is definitely the right match for Deuce as they have lots in common. But something tells me she'll end up with Stalker because that's what always seems to happen in love triangles(believe me I ain't a fan of Stalker either and I'm surprised Deuce and Fade let him join them). The girl ditches the guy who loves her first and most. But seriously the name Stalker...

should be enough to tell everyone all about this guy's "charming" history and personality. How could Deuce or ANYONE fall for a guy with that type of past???
Okay so I like both and then I remember that stalker raped women, and then I am disgusted by him, and then while I read the book I keep forgetting that he did such actually awful things and ill have to remind myself. But anyway it doesn't matter, cause we all know in the end she will end up with Fade
I really prefer Fade, because regardless that that was the way he was razed, Stalker was a rapist and a kidnapper. I can't get over that and i really hope that is dealt with in the next book.

Dylan and Max, Gale and Katniss, Xander and Cassia, Clara and Christian, Jacob and Bella, etc
And coming up...
Phoenix and Violet, Maxon and America, Alina and Mal, Celaena and the prince, etc
I REALLY liked fade in the beginning, but them after the first few chapters he became...boring and drab.I then REALLY like stalker, and still do, in the second book. they are the perfect match, strong and tough, although captain obvious knows that fade and deuce will end up together.
Yet i cannot vote for fade as he is droll, nor for stalker though is he perfect. except for his history in the wolfs. so neither. plus book2 is such a bore, i think i'll dnf. :/

I suppose if that happens I'll run out of books to read. :/
