Okay, I have a question. What is the difference between "then" and "than"? And when would you use "than" as opposed to "then"?

"than" is a comparative word, so you would say, "i am taller THAN you", or "i am older THAN my sister"
then is more of a transition, like, "first i got out of bed. THEN i got dressed."
does that make sense?

Paige Miller does too me!

message 57: by Riley (new)

Riley (booksarecool) Yeah that's a great way of explaining it Brigid!

But I'm still sort of stuck on some whom/who things, and that way doesn't work for me.

message 58: by Paige (new)

Paige Miller i just try to avoid using those words, even though i get it now. Old habits die hard.

message 59: by Riley (new)

Riley (booksarecool) Yeah.
