Fallen for me. Torment explains many things but it also tormented me during my reading. I do think I love Passion more than Fallen.

But my best is Nephilim story, The Mortal Instruments series from Cassandra Clare.

I wrote a paranormal romance and I wanted it to have a completely different kind of paranormal in it. I like the idea of angels, though. They're such a complex, important part of our culture.
Since I read the LOTR I've loved books about elves, but I haven't seen them in modern books much. Anybody know of anything?
My story is but I'm telling what the unearthly element is... :)
