I really want to read a zombie book this month, but I have no idea which one would be good. Any favorite zombie books?

I'm not a huge huge fan of zombies, so I havn't read too many books with them in it, but 'The Forest of Hands and Teeth' trilogy by Carrie Ryan is pretty good! :)

I haven't read it yet myself, but nominated for the 2011 Hugo was Feed by Mira Grant. It was also on Locus magazine's 2010 recommended reading list, and was featured on John Scalzi's "Big Idea" feature at http://whatever.scalzi.com/2010/04/30...

I really love zombie movies, but I can't remember ever reading a book with zombies. I think I have that trilogy in my to-read section but I'll look.

The only book with zombies I've read is , which is not a novel but a book that teaches how to survive in a zombie apocalypse.

Jonathan Maberry spins great zombie tales. I'm not a huge zombie fan, but enjoyed Patient Zero, and Rot&Ruin... haven't read the follow up Dust&Decay yet.

The Jenny Poxseries is a great trilogy. It's not really zombies but it's similar in a way.....if you read it you'll understand what i'm coming from

Forest of Hands and Teeth is a really good zombie book! The next two in the trilogy were great too, but the first was definitely the best.

I recall that you said you were reading or thinking about reading "World War Z" I had never read a zombie book before that one but I really enjoyed it. If you are looking for a more in your face Zombie gore type of thing though, there are probably better books out there than this.

haha exactly. I was somewhat surprised at the fact that it's kind of zombieish (mainly the first and last one) but they are really good.

There are people in real life that were kinda like this. Typhoid Mary killed a lot of people around her because they didn't know people could have a disease but not be sick.

Wow. That's really interesting. I would've thought that they would have found the cause for what she had when she spread the disease. I wonder if there are any recent cases like this one.
