That just means that the books are available in your B&N library but not currently on your Nook. You won't be charged for downloading them. Go ahead and download them from your Nook.
For some reason, when I got my new Touch, most of my B&N books needed to be downloaded again -- I guess changing the registration has that effect.

Kaye - I haven't had this happen with my Nook Color, but it has happened to me with my 1st edition Nook. I powered down completely by pressing the power button, not just putting it to sleep. Turning it off completely. Then waiting a few seconds and going back on and it was fine. I don't know if it will work with Nook Color but the first thing I ever do when I have problems is completely shut it down and go back in. Like I said, I don't know if this will work for Nook Color. I've only had mine for about a month.
I hope your problem gets solved soon!

Good luck!

and where exactly does it come from. the email had a NYC address and it also had one in AZ which I saw said it was the hub. I think that is where it goes back but where do they come from the same location.
Jackie, if I have problems you will probably be hearing my voice screaming. LOL

realized all the books B&N and the epubs are all under documents. now that is totally weird so there is something really wrong with the nook. I didn't realize that when I was talking to customer service at the time. Even if I do something with the shelves it won't move anything. I guess maybe it could be a battery problem even though the battery is still charging. it's down half now but if I want to read anything I'll probably be charging it again.
another thing I guess when I have to send it back in the package there is no way I can take my stuff out of there because I can't delete anything.

I don't think the original cost really factors into the equation, ereaders have come down a lot in price. The fact that the Touch is cheaper than you originally paid doesn't mean it's an inferior product -- in fact, in most respects it's far better. Are there features of your original Nook that you would really miss?
Another point -- if your Nook is so obsolete they can't find a replacement, getting service and assistance for it is going to be increasingly difficult.

Thank you for your comment.
Ah, the case issue is a good point. I hadn't thought of that. (Though my Touch works quite nicely in the envelope I bought for my 3G, luckily.)
