Cathy | 99 comments Two of my favorites:

Cutting for Stone
In the Garden of Beasts

Does anyone know how to update status on a currently-reading book if you're reading it on an e-reader??
I recently got a Kindle Fire and don't know how to update my status.

There is no difference, as I understand it, although I have never used the status updates. If you have locations instead of pages, there is a way to toggle to percentages.

Julia Oh I have to add one more 5 star this year -- loved loved loved Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Unique, well written, and so intriguing. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

To toggle it to percentages instead of pages, you just click on where it says pages next to the little box where you put in the number of pages, and it will toggle to % instead. :) I hope that helps!

Lisa My top reads are a combination of fiction and non-fiction this year. I was surprised that I enjoyed so many of the non-fictions I read this year so much.

1. Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter
2. Safe from the Sea
3. The Coffins of Little Hope
4. The Kitchen Counter Cooking School: How a Few Simple Lessons Transformed Nine Culinary Novices into Fearless Home Cooks
5. Cocktail Hour Under the Tree of Forgetfulness

Nancy I'm so glad to see Coffins of Little Hope on your list Lisa! My daughter had to read it for a college English class and he's a local author. She loved it and is insisting I read it. Gave me her copy. Nice to see someone else mention it.
