I've just started Stormlord's Exile which was purchased by my local library after I requested it. It's really nice to read the third book of a trilogy so soon after reading the first two.
I finished up Stormed Fortress yesterday and checked Kobo today and they have Initiate's Trial, so I got it! I am so excited. I was feeling at loose ends after finishing SF. Barnes & Noble has it for preorder along with all her other books. I like to read them in eformat to keep my books neat and pretty. The hardcover is on order and is on its way from The Book Depository.
I stopped reading Daemons Are Forever because I found it too cute by comparison with its precursor The Man With The Golden Torc. Now what to do with all the Simon Green sequels I've acquired.Currently reading Spin and finding it to be a real page-turner. Also perusing Ringworld after lo these many decades since I first read it. Louis Wu is still one of the most memorable characters I've ever encountered.
I finished up Stormlord's Exile which I thoroughly enjoyed and moved on to Hammer of God to finish off another trilogy

I liked his Death Stalker series, but he lost me on the last trilogy & most of his books I've read since then. It's a shame.
Reading Dragon Haven by Robin Hobb with my husband before bed and on trips. We'll prob still be reading it next October! Also listening sporadically to Forever War by Haldeman and trying to read my Interzones. Not finding much time for actual reading these days.
I agree, Jim, Louis Wu is a very memorable character!
I'm still slowly working my way through Little, Big. I'm hoping to have the time to finish it this weekend. Next up is Graveminder for a discussion on another site, and it looks like it'll be a quick read!
I loved Carnelians (more, please) and now I'm back to Peril's Gate. I love it every time I go back to it, but it's still hard work. I'm hoping to get through to the end this time. Still, however long it takes, I will finish the books and read the next ones as well.

I'm enjoying the Riddlemaster of Hed trilogy.
And A Free Man of Color
I finished VALIS last week. I don't know if it's strictly science fiction, but probably close enough. Still working my way through Surface Detail. It's excellent, but so far it's not my favourite Iain M. Banks novel.

I remember McKillip's Riddle-master trilogy with great fondness. It was among the very first adult fantasy I read as a teenager. I can still see in my head the old library were I found them and the covers (very boring; plain colours with just the titles on them). They are on my list to reread one day, along with many other favourites from those years. All I need is time (severely lacking) and preferably an ebook release.
Well I read some of my planned books. Honor 2 was fine, loved Fortress of Owls and Royal Assassin - sad! Also read Eden, which pulled me through, quite good. Abandoned Frankenstein - the movie would never have been made if I'd had the rights, really dull reading. Honor 3 was ok but hard work at times. The Dark and Hollow Places was gripping and a good end to the trilogy. What to read next? Fortress 4?
I'm working on Scholar by L.E. Modesitt Jr.. Pretty good so far.
And soon I hope to dig out from my mountain of work and get a bit more active in the group again!

I recently finished Dragon's Egg and sequel Starquake by Robert L. Forward. I enjoyed these immensely, was reminded of a modern Hal Clement and plan to read Forward in toto. It's hard SF that teaches science.I'm now reading Hollinghurst's The Swimming Pool Library, a study in elegance with reminiscences of Evelyn Waugh and EM Forester and ever so British.
