Little.Reader | 2 comments Hey peoples!! PUHHH LEEEEASE READ!!!

Fellow lover of books and romance books enthusiast!!

I love reading all kinds of books. Books that make me think about the future and be scared and hopeful of it, books that make me see into the minds of others and books that take me to places I could only dream of. I love falling in love a hundred times and swooning over the amazing book boyfriends out there. OBSESSED, I tell you!

I have been exploring loads of themes within the romance community such as
-best friends to lovers
-enemies to lovers
-office romance
-sister's best friend/brother's best friend
-fake to real relationships
-instalove
-unrequited love
and so on the list continues on an on exploring the many ways one falls in love. and i have loved every minute of it. Be it if I love the book or its;s just not for me, I can't put it down not even to breathe or just can't finish it, its a wonderful experience.

Now I hope many see this post because I NEED HELP!!!!

See as much as I've been reading I have yet to explore the same sex romance!!! It's not like I purposefully only choose FM novels I have gotten a menage book once or twice but I will admit as hot as the devils three way is I am not always happy when the happy ending is to forever live in a never ending three way and I always end up liking one male more than the other. Now that being said I have loved it when they are a couple who explore each other with themselves and others. I don't know its a bit hard to explain. Well that aside. I HATE love triangles! I mean i love hate them if I'm honest. Its that they always gut me! I cant stand the emotional angst they give me. And yet that doesn't stop me from picking one up a time or two once in a blue moon. But I tend to refrain from them as much as possible. My heart just can't take too much of the pain my friends (the characters) go through. Ok, ok, I get it you must be like shut up get what's up with the long intro?! Ugh!!! Weeeell, like I said before I NEED HELP! I need recommendations on MM and FF books to read!!!
I want to finally dive into the same sex genre in romance!!! I'd like any and all recommendations of best MM/FF books y'all have read! Send them my way the more the merrier! Give me the most funny, lovable, angsty, heartwarming, heartbreaking ones y'all have in mind. Just 'member, triangles hurt this Little Reader and menages frustrate me. Now the blabbering makes sense. (smiley face of pure innocence over here.)

So send me some recommendations and I hope to hear from y'all and lets be friends!! I love given and receiving recommendations and just plain talking about books in general. *blushes*

Celeste Barclay His Highland LassHello Everyone,

I am definitely a bibliophile. I read romance novels regularly, as in a few a week usually. I generally read historical romances with Scottish/Medieval being my favorite and Regency following behind.

I love taking my Kindle with me to the beach (I live in Southern California) to enjoy a good story and some sunshine.

I recently published my first Highlander novel. I am still learning the ropes of digital publishing and advertising. I know that Goodreads has helped me to find numerous books, and I hope it helps bring my imagination to other bibliophiles, or even occasional readers.

Switched ~ interesting concept and well written.
How to Howl at the Moon fun PNR
Perfect Imperfections contemporary bit of fun
Acrobat contemporary
Gives Light young adult
I'll Be Your Drill, Soldier military with great friction
Bone Rider contemporary scifi
Latakia military
The Curtis Reincarnation contemporary

Monika | 4 comments Hi!!!! My name is Monika and I have decided to join this group because even though I love reading, I never do the activity anymore for fun. My goal is to change that by putting myself in a group so I will be encouraged to read during my free time instead of watching TV. I am looking foreword to reading plenty of books in the future!!!

message 3013: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24353 comments Welcome to the group Monika!! Hope your ploy to read works - I do much the same thing; the TV is in the background (for me) if someone is home but often my husband and I will just sit & read with some low music on. Very relaxing...

Enjoy!

message 3014: by MountainKat, Moderator (new)

MountainKat | 31805 comments HI Monika! I'm sure the challenges will help encourage you to read - if you are even a little competitive! I'm not into competition with others, but I am competitive in the sense that I push myself to finish what I set out to do. Mostly that is challenges, but also to do a certain challenge every month - that sort of thing. I know my reading has grown since I joined this group!

Rose | 4 comments Hi,

I’m Rose and brand new to GoodReads. I am also NOT computer savvy so I am having a difficult time maneuvering around this site. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

I am also trying to find an author and title of a book I have read and own...but for the life of me I can’t find. I assumed the author was Nora Roberts but I am starting to doubt that. If I put a small summary of the story here, do you think someone might be able to help me find the author or title of this book. It’s driving me crazy that I can’t find it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

....Rose

Jane (PS) | 24353 comments Welcome to the group Rose! Hope you enjoy your time here 🙂

I don’t have any specific recommendations regarding navigating this site other than to simply move around and check out our challenges and other posts.

To ask about the name of a book, there is a folder with book related topics which is where your question should be posted. Unfortunately I’m tapping away on my phone and I can’t see folders at the same time or add a link to this post 😐

I’ll try to come back with a link when I’m back on my computer. That could be a day at least!

Rose | 4 comments Thank you, Natalie

I did come here with the hopes that someone might know the title or author of a book I have been trying to find in my collection I posted the summary of the story but so far no luck.

Thanks again. I am slowly maneuvering my way around here. 😉

Hi Rose

Here is a link to where you post your book questions.
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group...

Just click on the hyperlink (underlined text) and it will take you to our folder where we ask for help finding books.

It isn't our most popular thread, but generally someone does have a go helping.

****
With trying to navigate the GR site, I have set on my computer a bookmark for the pages that link me directly into my groups or a particular group.

For example, if you are a member of a few groups, or even just one, it is quicker to set a bookmark on your computer, for 'My Groups' than to navigate your way there each time. I really only visit the groups that I'm a member of, so this is far quicker.

I'm no computer expert but if you wish to do this, just click on Community on the top bar, and then Discussions and it will navigate to the latest updates in your groups.

To bookmark, not sure what system you use, I just click on the star in my browser line, and it allows you to save as a bookmark and select where you want that bookmark to show. For regular sites, I always save to my bookmarks toolbar so that they show all the time on the top bar.

(OK, this really only saves a couple of steps, but is the main info I'm interested in :)

If you just want to play around in our group, go to our home page (click on the icon once you have found us in Discussions) and then scroll down to see all our folders and the topics within each folder.

Good luck.

Otherwise, as Natalie said, you just have to play around in the groups and on GR :D

Shoshana (shorae11) Hey there everyone!!! I am super excited to join this group. Within the last couple years, i have become a BIG time reader. I just cannot seem to get enough of it. With that being said, I tend to get into ruts where I just don't know what to throw myself into next. I am hoping by joining this group I will not only be challenged to read books that I normally wouldn't as well as give me some new ideas on what to read next. :)

Angela Litton Hi. I joined a couple of months ago, but haven’t posted yet, so I just wanted to drop in and say hello. I’m Angie, obviously love to read, mother of 4, grandma of 1. I love to read almost any genre, including romance. (I really just love to read! Lol)

message 3045: by Keiria (new)

Keiria (kwegmann) Hi everyone! I am Keiria and I have been addicted to reading for as long as I can remember. I read my first romance novel at the ripe young age of 12 (The Gift by Julie Garwood). Julie and Nora Roberts are my favorite romance authors but I also love a good paranormal romance (is there anything sexier than vampires?). On average, I read roughly 2 books/week. If it weren't for bookbub and their free/discounted books emails, i'm fairly certain i'd be bankrupt due to my book addiction. I will read just about anything but i especially love YA novels of the fantasy/paranormal variety, romance novels, and also anything by Stephen King.

message 3046: by Jane (PS), Moderator (new)

Jane (PS) | 24353 comments Welcome Keiria! Your taste in reading should dovetail in nicely ~ those sub-genres are all read here. Enjoy prowling through the bookshelves and the threads. The July challenges are all up so jump in anywhere 🙂

Anshruta | 1 comments Hi guys!

So the reason I joined is because I read a romance novel a couple of years ago and I liked it but I lost it when moving apartments.

It was about a guy who leaves his high power job to come save his family’s Italian restaurant and the critic to review it is his ex. Then the struggle they have till they realise they still love each other.

This book is haunting me and I need to read it again but I can’t remember the name or author. Could somebody help me out?
