Hi CitKat - this is actually a really big question. But to answer the bit on the tags, members of GR simply add bookshelves (such as bikers) and mark them when they have read a book. When you click on 'My Books' you will see on the left hand side all your shelves for your books. This is where you can add bookshelves through the edit function.

You can find other groups by using the 'Community' menu up the top of the page and click on Groups. Then search for the key words you are interested in.
