Kurt, from the book Sudden Impact, wants to be good enough to make the school soccer team, only, HE'S NOT A GOOD RUNNER! This is his conflict. The narrator of this book offers to train Kurt to be the best runner around. Kurt takes him up on the offer, pushes himself to the limit, and before long, he's running around town like a champion. The fact that he pushes himself to get better, and then CHANGES so rapidly and drastically is what makes him a dynamic character. I just started this book, so I'm not sure if Kurt makes the team, but based on the clues I've seen so far, I'll bet he does make it! YAY KURT!

sounds interesting

Interesting. Very interesting. So her fear is getting in the way of her changing? Is her fear protecting her in any way, do you think?

Vaughn wrote: "My character Calvin is hard to tell if he is dynamic or static. The reason why I said that was because he just keeps on changing every short story."
Calvin is a pretty dynamic character because he does seem to change a lot. Is he easily influenced by others, do you think?

Dan seems like he had something happen in his life that has affected his outlook on things. Is he a good guy turned bad? Or do you think he'll be a bad guy who turns good? What do you think?

ELI must have practiced a bunch! He must have had lots of positive experiences that led him to be able to do that! Wowsers!

Alyssa, is the little girl's father a character who has made huge life changes in this story, or does he generally stay the same? How about the girl. Is she changing or remaining static?

Jeannine, sounds like Massie is a terror! Why do you think she is so static, continuing to make people miserable? What do you think it might take for her to change?

You really have an eye for change in your characters, Terrence! What events in Darrell's life presented him with opportunities to change from a bully victim to a popular kid. That's very interesting.

Yes she is a terror and i think she is acting like that to make herself feel better and she has low self esteem. I don't think that she is ever going to change no matter what people have cried infront of her and she doesn't care.
