Which characters in your book are turning out to be dynamic? Tell us about some of the conflicts that are contributing to the changes you see in your characters.

Kurt, from the book Sudden Impact, wants to be good enough to make the school soccer team, only, HE'S NOT A GOOD RUNNER! This is his conflict. The narrator of this book offers to train Kurt to be the best runner around. Kurt takes him up on the offer, pushes himself to the limit, and before long, he's running around town like a champion. The fact that he pushes himself to get better, and then CHANGES so rapidly and drastically is what makes him a dynamic character. I just started this book, so I'm not sure if Kurt makes the team, but based on the clues I've seen so far, I'll bet he does make it! YAY KURT!

Terrence Faison | 6 comments Today I read a book named Payback by Anne Largan. I spotted a couple of dynamic characters. Such as Len who was bully victim to a high school drop out.Darrell Mercer to a bully victim to a popular kid. But at the same time Tyray became dynamic and static for instance Tyray becomes a popular bully to a low reputation boy. But he still doesn't care for anyone but himself.

Vaughn (vbgibbs1999gmailcom) | 2 comments My character Calvin is hard to tell if he is dynamic or static. The reason why I said that was because he just keeps on changing every short story.

Interesting. Very interesting. So her fear is getting in the way of her changing? Is her fear protecting her in any way, do you think?

Calvin is a pretty dynamic character because he does seem to change a lot. Is he easily influenced by others, do you think?

Dan seems like he had something happen in his life that has affected his outlook on things. Is he a good guy turned bad? Or do you think he'll be a bad guy who turns good? What do you think?

Alyssa, is the little girl's father a character who has made huge life changes in this story, or does he generally stay the same? How about the girl. Is she changing or remaining static?

Jeannine, sounds like Massie is a terror! Why do you think she is so static, continuing to make people miserable? What do you think it might take for her to change?

You really have an eye for change in your characters, Terrence! What events in Darrell's life presented him with opportunities to change from a bully victim to a popular kid. That's very interesting.

Yes she is a terror and i think she is acting like that to make herself feel better and she has low self esteem. I don't think that she is ever going to change no matter what people have cried infront of her and she doesn't care.

message 32: by Kayla (new)

Kayla Rodriguez | 3 comments The book that i was reading was called The Girl Who Cried Monsters. The character in the book the girl who cried monsters is a dynamic character because lucy use to tell monster stories her brother and also to her best friend. And so then she had seen a real monster. And she had changed because she had not said any more monster stories because she had gotten scare to say them. And that how she is a dynamic character.

Kayla Rodriguez | 3 comments The book that i am reading is called Out of the dust and my character is a static character. Because she never changes. Also because she is a good kid. And when someone is a good kid there wont be nothing to change.
