Great looking covers! Did you design them?

I'm not looking for a book review, but critiquing help (one step before the review) I have a SciFi thriller (set in a dystopic far future) that I think you might like. There are paranormal elements but not "creatures of the night" Gothy kind of paranormal; rather the actual meaning of the word: outside the norm :)
Would you be willing to help advise me on an editing question for this work in process? I have the problem described at length here:
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/693217-help-scifi-thriller-needs-editing-advice
and the book chapters needing review are on the Harper Collins site, Authonomy:
http://www.authonomy.com/books/35559/conditioned-response/
I'm offering a free eBook (after it's published) to anyone who spends the time and effort to read+comment on every single chapter.
For now, however, what I actually need is advice on what to cut out of the first / opening part of this scifi thriller. I'm looking for honest (brutally honest but polite), first impressions, not thought-out or carefully couched responses. I want the gut reaction because that's usually right ;)

I have now self-published two eBooks and am looking for people to review them. The Q Word and Other Stories is a collection of some of my short fiction. The Impostor #1: Half a Hero is the first volume of a post-apocalyptic superhero series. You could think of it as either a comic book in prose or fantastic adventure in the tradition of hero pulps like The Shadow and Doc Savage.
Are you interested in reviewing either of them or both? If so, please let me know either by posting a note here or by emailing me here:
rleebyers@mac.com
Thanks for your consideration.

Rihard, I would be honoured to read and review both your works. Please send them to cat_forbes@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks!

That'd be awesome, thank you! And if you have trouble with the Authonomy site registration or decide you don't want to register with HC, that's fine. You should be able to read there anyway and you could just comment here instead. I prefer comments there and since you're in the UK and it's a UK based site, it shouldn't be a problem, but just wanted to give you the option. I understand from a few Americans I've spoken with about it on Facebook that the HC site is being a little hinky lately. It works fine for me so I don't know what to tell you if you have issues. It's not my site.

Here on Goodreads or there on Authonomy? I love the CR group here on GR. This is definitely one of the best and nicest groups I've read here on GR!

I'm always up for a review. My genre is certainly dark and horrifying and perhaps, something new. Are you interested in addiction? If so I might just have the book for you. Jagged Little Edges is the first book in a three part series.
All the best, Lorelie Rozzano.

Hi Kitty,
Perhaps you might be interested in giving my book a look? It's a dystopian science fiction novel, which seems to fit two of your preferred genres :) In fact, I've got a short story as well, that's related to the main book, if that interests you.
Let me know if you'd like a copy of one/both.
Alex.
Edit: I suppose a link might be useful... :)

So, I'm gearing up for a book two release this September 10 in the Chupacabra Series, Curse of the Chupacabra, and I am always interested in a review of the first book Night of the Chupacabra, then possibly continuing with the series as it progresses.
In the Chupacabra Series, a vampire-like, cryptozoological creature (which literally translates to “goat-sucker”) takes a supporting role to a cast of memorable characters who struggle to survive while finding their place in the world. Currently slated for six books, the Chupacabra Series echoes strong family themes and the sacrifices required for that breed of love; and while some characters survive long enough to make it through multiple novels, each volume will host a different protagonist to lead the reader through its continuing journey.
If you're interested in reviewing book one, just hit me up at nanpinc@gmail.com.
Cheers!
Michael

Here is a brief description of the book:
Behind Amazon’s quirky smile logo lurks a cold and calculating giant machine. Author Kalpanik S. reveals his own smile as he tells the somewhat quirky story of his complex, and often hilarious, relationship with Amazon. From the sophisticated wit in his portrayal of the courtship period in “How To Get Hired By Amazon In Ten Days”, to the dark humor of the disillusionment period in “The Cold, Calculating Machine”, Kalpanik’s story is more than just an insider’s view of the giant machine known as Amazon.com. It’s a modern, universal story of the uneasy relationship between an individual and today’s gargantuan corporations. In the end, it’s also a story of redemption for the creative and freethinking individuals that define America.
And in case you were interested, here is an author bio:
Kalpanik S. is an immigrant technologist. He came to the USA on a fellowship from the University of California and stayed back and worked in West Coast's High Tech corridor. He had been writing a journal about his "journey'" through the US since the time he landed at the San Francisco Airport more than twenty years ago, and a few years ago, he decided to get his stories published. Kalpanik is a pseudonym the author uses to allow him to separate his literary identity from his professional identity.

Thanks,
Melissa

I'm opening up review positions, however making it a bit different this time around. Instead of leaving a comment here, or sending me a message through Goodreads, I'm welcoming all works to redlace_reviews@hotmail.com. I will then take the time to look over what I receive and start reading how I see fit.
More information about how I review, etc, here - https://www.goodreads.com/story/show/...
Please, if you're happy with how I review, send me an email if you think I'll enjoy your book. I accept .mobi files.
Just be aware it may take me time to read/review, or I may not read it at all if it doesn't appeal to me.
Best wishes to everyone!
