Thanks, Heather! I'll check on the group that is going to be doing Sugar Daddy and see when they are going to start - and get back to you.How many chapters a day do you want to read? Or will you just inhale it? LOL!
LOL, I just read as much as I can in a day, I generally don't do chapters, but if that is how you want to do this, then I'm game.
That's wonderful! I think I have and opening after
starting the 9th or 10th. Does that work for either of you two?
Lisa Kay wrote: "That's wonderful! I think I have and opening (after

Okay. I know I have a copy of this book, but I can't find it anywhere, and that makes me sooooo mad! I'm going to stop looking for now, and try again later.
CaroB wrote: "Michelle, I have it as an ebook, if you like?"Thanks for the offer CaroB. I may have to take you up on it if I can't find my copy soon :)
I got an email telling me about this upcoming read! I've never had that before from this group, thought it was great!
I'm 38% in, Heather and I'm annoyed with Jazz. Seriously she's a PI and doesn't think she should be investigating??
LOL, she just did the dirty on him in the gym! Poor guy! And at this stage, I have three suspects and no clue which one it might be if any of them. Are you any closer ?
I think I have it pegged, but I've been fooled before. ;-)The problem is that these characters reactions/actions still haven't made redeemed them in my eyes. =(
It was a pity. I tried to be fair and wondered if I had been expecting too much (I'd really been looking forward to it, so felt like even more of a let-down) It wasn't a bad read, but not a great one either.
Just finished. I really wish I could say that I picked a winner to read, but IMO, I did not. Too disjointed, chaotic in tone and actions. I feel you, CaroB. A big let-down for me too.
Man-oh-man! You guys! Now I am tempted not to try this one. I'm behind b/c of my cold... I did like some of the other books later in the series. Do you think this one was suffering from "first in series" trials?
That could be it, Lisa Kay. No real flow to this one, and it was written awhile ago. I have another of her books from a newer series in my TBR list, so I might give that ago in the future.
Just finished today - agree with what many of you have said here, that the characters lacked depth and the plot / storyline lacked some realism. But I didn't think it was horribly written - I've certainly read a lot worse! I'd probably give it 3 or 3 1/2 stars...
You're right Elizabeth, it wasn't horribly written. I know I can be pretty harsh, and it's so mood dependent. And to be fair, if this hadn't been a rom-sus, I probably would have been much more forgiving. But I just felt that the little idiosyncrasies in the writing, the choppiness of it, annoyed me enough to keep pulling me from the story. I think I stated in my review that I probably wouldn't read this author again, but if this was one of her earlier works, I'd be interested to see how one of the latest from St.Claire compares in writing style, but more importantly in character development. I can forgive anything if the characters are well written :-)

#1 in the Bullet Catchers series!
From bestselling author Roxanne St. Claire comes a sensational new novel of dangerous desires, dark deceptions and one drop-dead gorgeous bodyguard.
WATCH YOUR BACK
Alex Romero is the hottest "Bullet Catcher" in the business. Tall, dark, and deadly if necessary, this high-priced bodyguard's got the muscle and the moves especially when it comes to the ladies. Alex can keep his beautiful clients out of danger, but sometimes they can't keep their hands off of him. Now Alex has one last chance to prove he belongs among the elite force known as The Bullet Catchers, but his assignment is stacked...against him.
WATCH YOUR HEART
Private investigator Jasmine Adams is fiercely independent and fearless under pressure she doesn't need some hunk-for-hire's help to catch the creep stalking her twin sister. But when Jazz uncovers bigger forces targeting her sister for death, she's glad to have Alex's brain and brawn handy. From the steamy streets of Miami to the sultry beaches of Key West, Alex and Jazz try to fight temptation as they race to keep a madman from fulfilling his promise to kill not just once, but twice. And some temptations are too powerful to resist....
