If, in fifty years or so, they made a remake of the series, would you watch it?

If I'm still alive, probably. I'll be 70 by then, and there's so much crap going on in the world, and if the world hasn't ended by then, then yes. I would probably look very creepy going, but eh. who cares.

HP7 part 1 was leaning more to the boring side but that is partly because the more interesting scenes happen in the last half of the book.
My sister and I always say they should do a (BBC?) miniseries so that it can be very long and cover everything left out in the movie versions. :)I would watch HP again if they remade it to see how it compares to the original movies and to the books.
I love the idea of a miniseries! I'm not sure how well it would actually work (unless they did a separate series for each book?) but I think it's a neat idea :)

Being a big fan I probably would watch it even though my first reaction of hearing they are making a remake would be "why??!!!" and "leave it alone!!" :P

I know I would see it - but I'll be 115 so I guess that might make me creepy now! In my defense I have to point out that good literature is good literature. I think Philip Pullman said it best in the following two quotes: "In a book for children you can't put the plot on hold while you cut artistic capers for the amusement of your sophisticated readers, because, thank God, your readers are not sophisticated. They've got more important things in mind than your dazzling skill with wordplay. They want to know what happens next." In defense of my advanced age and the reason for my addiction to YA books he said, “We don’t need lists of rights and wrongs, tables of do’s and don’ts: we need books, time and silence. Thou shalt not is soon forgotten, but Once upon a time lasts forever.” Forgive me my quiet rant.
I doubt they'll wait 50 years. With how much technology in the film world is advancing, I give it 10, maybe 20 years. I'll probably watch the remakes, and hopefully they'll be better. The special effects at least will be cooler. And now that they know what pisses fans off (Leaving out seemingly small details, or huge ones, like Dumbledore's funeral) hopefully they'll get it right this time.

I would probably watch it, even though I don't think they should make a remake. I mean that even though the film have left out quite important details, the cast were very well-chosen, and what's more the movies have been made. They were made at nearly the sane time as the books were written.

The special e..."I think that most of the cast would avoid going into the remakes, except those that are either broke, or trying to realaunch their careers - you never know what might happen in thity years.

Angelica Houston as Minerva - I can see that, but I'd prefer Kathy Bates, or Lauren Becall.
Rosie O'Donnel as Molly Weasley - I can see that! She'd be awesome.

American actors would be strange but I agree about Kathy Bates and maybe even Rosie, but Selena Gomez? ugh!!!

Probably. Would I enjoy it? Probably not. I would go to determine how much of it they fucked up. Still, it's Harry Potter.
I don't know if I'd be particularly excited about the series, but I could definitely go for a TV show spin-off series. It'd have to have all of the passion of the good Fanfic, but I don't think that's a terrible idea.
To be honest, I was always kind of meh about the movies, anyway. I never thought they could possibly do the books justice, and while the films were pretty awesome, they didn't do the books justice at all, which is what I expected. So I'd probably feel the same way about a remake as I would about the original films, although now I'm rather attached to Alan Rickman as Snape so maybe I would feel a bit more strongly about a remake. I think the only reason the girl from Glee go on the list, is because she is one of the few famous Asian actresses in Hollywood.

Haha, it'd be great to see the reactions but... watching HP remake when I'm 65? Nah, think I'll pass - it's a 'thing' that just happens at the time and can't be recreated for those who were there originally imo.
I wouldn't worry about American actors ever being in an HP remake of any kind. Dead or alive, Rowling won't allow it. There's a reason that not a single actor in the HP movies was American. And Rosie as Molly? I'm sorry but definately not. She would look ridiculous with red hair. And she'd be too old by then anyway.
To be honest, probably not. I don't think any of it would be better than the current series/films. I don't think that another eight films of it should be made, because, for me, I would be dissapointed with it as I want to remember it as the fantastic, exciting series/films it was. So, with that, the answer is no.

I probably wouldn't watch the remakes, just because I can't imagine any other actor/actress playing the parts. I'd rather be content with the current series than see if the new movies are better.

And, if they tried making the series again, they would have one MAJOR threat to contend with: US.
This question was brought up as I finished watching the last movie. In my opinion, they probably will. Maybe 40-60 years from now.
If I'm still alive if the movies came out, I wouldn't watch it. I could not imagine anyone playing the characters. British remake maybe, but American? NO
The film series is the biggest money making series on the planet. It even managed to beat out James Bond.I think the likelihood of a remake is heavy
No, I lost interest in the movies after The Goblet of Fire, and don't really see myself watching the others. I do see myself rereading the series in a number of years, though.
I'd watch it. Its always nice to see a different take on the things I love :]

I'd pretty much have to. Even if they sucked. It's Harry Potter, they could probably dress up a bunch of dogs and have them play the parts and I'd still see it.
Absolutely not. I still have to see a classic that wasn't screwed up by a remake.
