Me: I'm going to make this clear: the vast majority of english teachers don't know what they are talking about. They are far more focused on papers reaching arbitrary goals than forming a coherent point. They are more interested in stories meaning something than being well written. The type of writing you accel at isn't something that the typical english teacher could view and say "This is incredible". There are a few that can, but they are rare. You are a talented writer Kaylee, your teacher doesn't know jack shit about how you write and it's quality.
