Can't get editions to combine

For some reason I can't get two editions (paperback and Kindle) of the same book to combine - the titles are identical, and they show up next to each other in "combine editions," but when I check both boxes to combine, nothing happens, but there's no error message either. Instead, GR gives me a success message: "1 works with 0 books were successfully combined" - but nothing has changed. Can someone help, or even better explain what the problem is? I've done this many times before but never encountered this.

The book is "Missing Daughter, Shattered Family," by Liz Strange - Missing Daughter, Shattered Family (that's one of them, the Kindle edition I think - when you do "combine editions," the paperback edition will appear as well).

Got that for you. The site has been up and down today and functions have been working intermittently.

It didn't actually combine, although the message indicated it did. Looks like the combine server is spitting out errors similar to the ones that got fixed ~10 days ago. I put in a ticket, and hopefully someone will have a chance to look into it on Monday.

Not sure what you mean by this (by "got this for you", that is!), as the two still aren't combined - perhaps because of those server errors rivka mentions?

I have just tried combining Other Paths to Glory by Anthony Price - http://www.goodreads.com/author/list/... and I get a 502 error. What am I doing wrong?Anthony Price

Usually when I get a 502, I wait a few minutes and try again.

I gave it a try was able to get Other Paths to Glory to combine.

All the editions for that book are already combined - so it either worked despite the 502 error or they did not need combining.

Can you post the link to the book edition you where trying to combine
