Zakari | 189 comments Name: Rinette Goode

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Power: Nothing special, really. She just can't ever miss anything, like with a weapon, or throwing stuff. Her aim is literally impeccable--it's impossible for her to miss anything with anything even if she's just picked it up for the first time.

Weakness: She has to have both eyes open--if one is covered, she'll miss. The shot has to be at least kind of reasonable--her powers don't allow her to go beyond the range of the weapon, or the power or anything. If the weapon limits her, she can't go beyond the limits. (This includes throwing stuff, like grenades, knives, stars, etc.)

Appearence: http://www.highwallpapers.com/wallpap...
NOTE: Her clothes aren't the tatty things she's wearing in the picture. She happens to be dressed in all-black baggy jeans and a hoodie. It's easier for her to hide weapons that way. Also, she isn't really covered in blood like in the pic, and her eyes are a more silvery violet than the pic makes them out to be. Plus, she hardly ever smiles. Ever.

Personality: Rinette tries to never create problems, but she can be kind of blunt. This blunt personality can sometimes cause problems to spring up. She often comes across as having an "I don't care" attitude, but she's just unused to showing her feelings. What Rinette is feeling can be hard to tell, but with time and getting to know people, she tends to open up every now and then. If she ever had the choice to save anybody from the whole world to one person she cared about, she would sacrifice herself in a heartbeat.

Likes: She adores meat. If anyone ever tried to convince her to become vegetarian or vegan, she would die. XD She also loves the smell of rain, the silence that snow creates, and friendships.

Dislikes: Definitely hypocrites. She also really doesn't like whiners, annoying people, and the color pink. She also hates the sound of chalk screeching on a chalkboard or styrofoam squeaking either.

Traits: She the worst sense of direction ever and tends to be late most of the time. That's why, on missions, she always needs to have someone with her to keep her on track; if not, she'll get lost, forget where she is, and will always arrive late.

History: Her power became prominent when her older brothers would always play with BB guns or stuff like that. It was only when she kept winning the air soft gun wars and paintball gun wars that her father, a military guy, began to realize her true potential. So, one day, her father faked her death and brought her into the nearest military base to train her. She was only 11 when this happened. Rinette became the latest hitman for the army, and with her promotion, she was forced into the harsh reality of war. After her first mission, she hardened up and gained the tough exterior she maintains now. When she was 14, after a particularly terrible experience, Rinette ran away and found the academy.

Relationships: Who knew that two completely different people could be so friendly? Mira's spazzyness makes up for Rinnete's cold shell, and Rinnete keeps a cool head in a situation. Opposites balancing each other out, you could say.

Other: She always has various weapons hidden on her person which includes the bow she always has and the quiver on her back. Grenades, throwing knives and throwing stars, a few pistols, and a couple other guns are hidden all over her. She's also known to be carrying around a staff or katana of some sort.

I don't mean to say she's always carrying all of this stuff around--these are just things she may be carrying. ^^' Sorry for the confusion!

Pippin (pippin-plover) | 375 comments Mod
Name: Benedict Domine

Hero Name: He’s still a bit shaky about this whole “hero” thing, so he hasn’t come up with one yet.

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Power: Immunostimulation. That is, he can stimulate his own immune system and that of others. There’s something unusual about his body in general: for one, though he doesn’t know it, his telomeres are shortening at an inexplicably slow rate after cellular replication. The implications of this are hard to predict, but it is currently thought that telomere length has something to do with lifespan and aging, so it is possible he will live an abnormally long life. This also somehow correlates to the production of odd chemicals in his body, which can be forced through his skin and into the bodies of others, either to wreak havoc or heal.

Weakness: The immune system is, of course, infinitely complex and rather beyond the complete comprehension of mere mortals. Self-repair is carried out automatically, but if he loses more blood than his body can replace, or (presumably) his brain is injured such that it cannot issue orders to the rest of his body, he would simply die. Healing others must be approached with trepidation and utter concentration, for though it is somehow intuitive, a slight slip could be fatal for the other person, causing a poison ivy-like rash at the least and mass systemic shutdown at the worst. There must be skin-to-skin contact for his power to be effective. Another weakness is more personality-related: he has seen too much death already. He does not want to be the cause of it, which makes him rather useless in offensive combat, and cautious about trying anything too daring with his power.

Appearance: Once scrawny and as white as white can be, a couple years with his grandmother in Colorado transformed him miraculously. His hair is honey-brown, more blonde than brunette, and on the long side - long enough to be gathered in a short ponytail at the back of his head, bound firmly with a strip of leather tanned by his versatile grandma. His eyes are an odd light green, sort of a sherbet-y color, and can be everything from blank to open and emotional. His face in general is strong for a seventeen-year-old, friendly and (dare I say it) attractive. Strong jaw- but not too jutting- good high cheekbones. His nose was broken once through circumstances he doesn’t discuss, and ended up a touch bent at the bridge. He’s fairly tall, but not overpoweringly so, say 5’11” ish. His musculature is spare, but he’s built for endurance from long hikes in all weather, with particularly strong legs and pretty powerful everything else, too. He has a couple of scars from before his abilities manifested themselves, and a mole or two on his arms. Clothingwise, he tends toward the natural and practical, with earth tones and natural fabrics dominating, but sometimes a touch of city sleek peeks through, and he wears black and jeans. Always a sketchbook sticks out of one pocket or another, and quite often he’s seen lugging around leather satchel stitched full of pockets, each brimming with paints, brushes, inks, pens, pencils, and so forth.

Hero appearance: He doesn’t have a costume yet- perhaps the school will have something available, or maybe his grandmother will come to the rescue. Whatever the case, the costume will feature dark browns, dark greens, and some leather.

Personality: Benedict is gentle and forced into maturity early. He has the artist’s temperament, deeply affected by his hard experiences. Sometimes depression takes hold of him, and the world seems void and meaningless. On such days only the outdoors and a Bible help, or a conversation with his grandmother. He is slow to trust, slow to love, but quick to reach out to others. He hates seeing someone in pain. His temper is difficult to arouse, but he would defend someone weaker than him in a heartbeat, to whatever extent necessary. As for smarts, he is brilliant in his art, thinks creatively, and is decent at science.

Likes: The art of Alan Lee, good books, Frank Lloyd Wright’s architecture, nature, Art Deco, a really good bowl of granola and some tea in the mornings, sunrises and sunsets, evenings and nighttime, classical music, meaningful conversation.

Dislikes: Pain, the thought of dying, having to be open about feelings; rap, hiphop, and other forms of raucous music, superficial people, ugly 90’s architecture, clay, centipedes, moths, and sausage.

Traits: If Benedict has two great flaws, they are an overabundance of caution- he looks when he should be leaping; and a tendency to internalize emotions. He also tends to rub his right cheek when he’s thinking or in the throes of artist’s block, tap a foot in time to music, and mark his place in books with whatever comes to hand- everything from grass to toilet paper squares.

History: Born on an icy night in Chicago, he grew up near Hyde Park- far enough from the underbelly of the city for his parents to feel safe about him, and close enough to be tantalised by the forbidden joys of the other side of town. He attended a private Christian school throughout grade school and middle school, growing up with a pack of kids who were beginning to resent the hand of their parents and yearn for a taste of another life. Benedict held out longer than most, clinging steadfastly to a child’s faith and innocence. His skills at art and artist’s temperament developed early on, and the beautiful grunge of the city skyline was his palate. Parents Chad and Annemarie were supportive. Both businesspeople, brilliant and somewhat wealthy, they lived successful and enviable lives. Then oddly, inexplicably, troubles began to develop between them. Their roomy apartment seemed empty and cold as a February wind. Conversations around the dinner table grew strained, and sudden arguments broke out over tiny things- an odd look, a poorly-chosen word. “At least one of them’s having an affair or doing drugs,” said then-eighth-grader Benedict’s best friend Ryan. The truth was worse then he’d imagined, but this suspicion alone broke Benedict’s heart and faith all at once.

His mood and heart growing dark, by ninth grade he had found the wrong crowd (for even at a Christian school, there is always a wrong crowd to be found if one’s determined enough) and begun hanging out with them. He never integrated fully, for some part of him still rebelled at the thought of doing drugs or alcohol, but he followed along with them in their descent into the labyrinth of Chicago’s streets. The darkest night, the filthiest sidewalks, the blinking neon signs, he became well-acquainted with in their wanderings. He was careful; his parents, wrapped in their own problems, were oblivious. Friends fell in with gangs, and learned how to hide the needle tracks and knife marks on their arms. He watched, torn between joining them in his depression and the certainty that there was something wrong about this. His paintings from this period are dark, people passed out on sidewalks, kids with bullet or knife wounds, all meticulously executed in ink or watercolor.

Jump to the end of his freshman year, when everything finally fell apart. Ryan died of alcohol poisoning at a wild party, and within a week, Benedict’s dad Chad was being arrested for embezzling company funds, and his mom lapsed into the alcoholism she’d been fighting for years. “You can’t stay here, Benedict. They’ll deem me an unfit guardian any day now,” she admitted to him over a beer.

Benedict was crying as he hadn’t cried since he was tiny.

“I’m going to clean up, son. I’ve signed myself up for rehab. Your father’s trying too- believe me, believe me, he is, we both are. We’ve gone so wrong, and now we’re coming back again. For now- you’ll stay with your grandma.”

His grandma, Grandma Silvia, was the infamous aging hippie of Colorado. But it was infinitely better than foster care, and with the tearfully voiced promises of his mother and father ringing in his ears, he packed bags for the Rockies. His grandma is easily eighty, tiny, wrinkled, with a fondness for shapeless dresses, natural food, and walking barefoot. The tiny, immaculately clean cabin she lives in is high in the mountains above Estes Park was built with the money left her by her husband, who passed several years ago. There’s a beautiful story there, but no time for it now. And if she’s a hippie, she’s the most God-fearing hippie you’ve ever met, not to mention the wisest and most loving.

“God made the earth, and it’s our job to take care of it and ourselves, Ben dear,” she’d say about the Fair Trade and organic products she used. This belief in God permeates every corner of her being, and between her, nature, and God himself, Benedict began a slow recovery. Online courses, Grandma’s advice, and the trails above the treeline became his school. His easel always had a wet painting of a sunrise, a tree, a flower, perched upon it. Grandma Silvia forbade bitterness towards his parents (“They love you, or they wouldn’t have sent you to me, dear.”) and though it is still hard to love them as he once did, Benedict has at least forgiven them. Still, dark sadness still hides in him, mingled with a bittersweet maturity, and he finds it hard to laugh. If anything, art is his laughter.

By his late Junior year, he was alive again, but Grandma Silvia was dying of cancer. Her tiny form seemed tinier still as she lay in her wooden bed under woolen sheets, doctors convinced that neither surgery nor radiation therapy could help her now. “Only a miracle,” they said, “would work now.” Having lived a full life, she was content to die, if not for her responsibilities to Benedict. He sat beside her, and the sun shone through the windows, illuminating her wizened face and the brightly colored paintings tacked to the walls all around. “Not yet... don’t die yet,” he whispered, holding her hand. “Not yet...” He saw the tumor in his mind, metastasised, malignant, evil; he imagined it being consumed from within, vanishing. His skin tingled, and Grandma Silvia’s eyes widened with astonishment as strength seemed to return to her. From that day forth, the cancer was in remission. A couple of other incidents (one which healed a pika, another that killed an injured elk) convinced his grandmother that God was working in mysterious ways through him. She scoured the Internet for a place that would foster his skills without exposing him to the public eye, and somehow settled on Next Gen.

“If the cancer comes back, it comes back, but you have a duty to God and the world, Ben.” And so Benedict was uprooted for the second time in his life, moving to Virginia, where who-knows-what awaited. He’s still not sure he wants to dedicate his life to using his powers, and doesn’t like the responsibilities they entail; he’d rather become an artist in a small way, and fade into some wilderness.

Relationships: See history above.

Crush: Open, but it’ll take a special sort of girl for him to fall in love.

₪Daughter of the Rain and Snow₪ Name: Asmera Kaen

Alias: Mimic

Age: 17

Power: Any thing Asmera sees, she can do. She sees Chuck Norris do a round house kick, and you will never want to get in a fight with her. Asmera watches a chef on the Food Network make sushi, she becomes a world class chef. The skills can stick with her a long time and are vertually limitless.

Weakness: Asmera can not do anything impossible, besides her actual ability. So if she watches some movie where the hero can fly or move at the speed of light, she wouldn't be able to do it. Basically, she can't replicate anything that people with other abilities can do. Also, it takes a few minutes to actually process a skill before she can perform. When Asmara watches something, she can not do it immediately after.

Appearance: Asmera is at an average height for her age, though a little more muscular than most because of her ability. Her hair goes down to her shoulder blades, and is a dull red with golden highlights. She has a light tan in the summer, but it quickly fades when winter comes. Asmera has high cheekbones that lie below her odd eyes. The irises are a dark grey, practically black, but flecked with an iridescent silver that makes them almost look reflective. Asmera dresses simply in jeans or running shorts and plain t-shirts or tanktops.
Hero Appearance: Asmera really doesn't like drawing to much attention to herself as a hero, so she mainly sticks to dark clothes and a hood to hide her hair. She also wears black soccer cleats. If anyone asks why, she would say because they are good for traction and running. But really she just likes the mark they leave on the bad guys when she stomps on them.

Personality: Asmera is one of those more reserved people who tend to stick to themselves unless they are in their element. She is a smart girl who doesn't say much to the people around her unless they say something to her first. Asmera is competitive, though when it comes to sports or one of the many other activities she is involved in. She is modest with her victories though and does not let praise from coaches or teachers give her a big ego. Few people really understand how Asmera works, but most people generally see her as kind and shy. The wrong doers she takes down, though, are not those people.

Likes: Asmera likes when things go the way they are planned.

Dislikes: Some things she cannot stand are spiders and braggers.

Traits: Asmera has a strong memory and sometimes talks quietly to herself. She also bites her lip when concentrating or trying to take a picture.

History: Asmera was born to Molly and David Kaen in Newport, Oregon. She was given her unique name because her parents believed that if she had an interesting title, she would be an interesting person. When she was ten, her mother went missing. To distract herself from the loss of her mother, Asmera joined as many clubs and teams as she could. She excelled in all of them. Asmera only discovered when she was fourteen that she had a gift. While walking home from her swim team practice, she was confronted by a large man on a deserted side street. When the man took her arm, Asmera began to panic. Before she knew it, she was pinning the man to the ground, both of his arms twisted behind his back. Startled by her own actions, Asmera released the man, who quickly retreated. Asmera had never been able to do anything like that in her life. She later realized that she had seen a boy on the school wrestling team the day before to the same thing to an opponent. Asmera experimented with her ability by observing everything around her, later mimicking them flawlessly. Over the next few years, Asmera's ability began to grow and she realized that she could no longer fit in with the other kids her age, let alone the people around her. And that's when she found Next Gen.

Relationships: Open.

((This guys still needs to be tweaked a lot, but I'm going to RP with him a little and develop a personality))

Name: Jonathan Thrasher
Alias: Templar
Age: 17
Gender: Male

Power: Jonathan has the ability to create a sword and shield made of energy. The shield is able to block energy and physical based attacks alike and is incredibly sturdy. The sword isn’t fully physical and thus can simply pass through most objects other than organic tissue. Jonathan can change how sharp it is, making it blunt for training or razor sharp for actual combat.

Weakness: The shield has a damage threshold. If a single attack bypasses that threshold, then the shield will snap instantly and the attack will go through. To make matters worse, Jonathan is temporarily dazed when the shield breaks, making him at the mercy of the enemy that snapped it. The sword has a glaring issue of its own: It becomes solid the second it hits organic matter. That means it can’t pass through plants, though it still could cut through them.

Appearance: Jonathan has blond hair and deep blue eyes that seem to always have a faint smile in them. His skin is fairly tan, but his face is a little pale. His hair brushes over his eyebrows and he often has to push it out of his eyes. It dangles down to about the top of his neck, around the level of his throat. His teeth nearly have an unearthly white to them and he has a tiny overbite.
Hero Appearance: Jonathan wears gauntlets and greaves tinted gold as part of his costume, along with a slightly faded crimson tunic with a sun on it. Of course, the armor pieces are purely for show as they are simply a replica of actual knight’s armor

Personality: Jonathan is a laid-back guy who seems to make friends easily. He has plenty of jokes to tell and enjoys cheering people up. He is very charming and he treats everyone with kindness, even those who don’t like him. Overall, he is a nice guy.

Or so it seems.

Jonathan is actually not the nice person that he appears to be, though its really hard to tell. Even those who are sure they are friends with him would never have a clue. Jonathan is one of the few people in Next Gen uninterested in being a hero and helping people, the reason he came was to become stronger and observe others like him. He keeps a mental list of the powers and weaknesses of those he meets, in case he ever needs to fight them. He prefers to exert a more subtle manipulation on people instead of pleading or bullying them. He has mastered the fine art of suggestion and after a few conversations with him, you may notice your opinions and personality changing. Not instantly, and not drastic shifts. But there will be differences. He is cold and calculating but tries to hide it by pretending to just be adamant in his moral decisions.

Likes/Dislikes: Jonathan likes cold breezes, foggy weather, cats and schemes. He dislikes weak people and those who defend the weak (though of course he does that himself if there are observers present), chocolate (claims he is allergic) and card games.

Traits: Jonathan bites his nails when he is thinking deeply and uses the phrase “So yeah,” whenever there is an awkward silence.

History:
[What he says his history is]
Jonathan was born in Philadelphia, growing up with his grandma. His parents had to work out of town, so he rarely talked to them. Although he didn’t excel in any classes, he loved the classics department that his school had to offer. When he was 12, he was nearly mugged by a group of bullies after school. As one rushed for him, he raised his left arm and a shield appeared, blocking the bully’s attack. He knocked one of the other ones down and bolted. When he got home, his grandmother called Next Gen and he was picked up and brought there.

[His actual history]
Jonathan was born in New York, New York, though he moved to Philidelphia when he was only four. His parents worked at home, so he always came home to see them. He did incredibly well in all his classes, less so in Math, more so in classics. Over the years he slowly gained control over the other students, by the time he was 11 he ruled the playground. But then something odd happened. In 8th grade, two new kids joined. They were particularly resistant to his charms and they looked at him oddly. Many students began to stop obeying him. So he ordered the handful that he still controlled to hurt the pair. Turns out there was some limits to direct command. He lost all of his control and sulked for the rest of 8th grade. In 9th grade, however, the middle school funneled into a massive highschool. Again he tried to gain control over other kids, but it failed once more, and most didn’t take kindly to being manipulated. One group of kids tried to attack him in a nearby alley after school, and they succeeded in breaking his nose. He started 10th grade at the school as a school bully and ruled this time, not with a subtle control, but with an iron fist. He realized he was special, but he didn’t realize his actual power. He searched and found out about Next Gen and convinced his parents to take him there.

Relationships:

Other: Jonathan can read Latin.

Zakari | 189 comments Name: Aaliyah Goode
Hero Name/Alias: To be decided

Age: 14

Gender: Female

Power: Controls weather. Can create any storm, be it snow, rain, thunder, lightning, sleet, hail, or ice. She can also stop them, but it takes a little longer than creating one. But sometimes creating a storm may take a while if the current weather is near the opposite. i.e. Creating a snow storm out of 100 degree weather would take about an hour or more.

Weakness: Can only create storms over an area of 2x2 miles. Is able to stop storms, but it requires more concentration. Her weakness is when she is tickled, everything is lost. Plus, it's impossible to create or stop anything if she's hungry.

Appearance: http://img3.visualizeus.com/thumbs/32...
She is about 5'6", and very skinny. She spends a lot of energy using her power, and her metabolism is at an extremely high rate. As a result, she weighs only 97 lbs. Her eyes change from the really icy green they are to a silvery green. Her hair is usually hanging all over her face.
Hero appearance: Her eyes change into this color:
http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs48/f/200...
Other than that, she doesn't change much.

Personality: Aaliyah is very kindhearted, but has an icy exterior. ((Kind of the opposite of Rudyards second character.)) She pretends to not care about anything, but is really caring about others. She has learned long ago not to trust anyone, and deems everyone as untrustworthy. In her opinion, family is the worst possible thing that could happen to you. Her childhood was lonely, and she doesn't like spending time with people. "Alone" is her favorite thing in the whole wide world.

Likes/Dislikes: She likes rain and snow. This is very convenient for her, as she controls the weather. But she really dislikes it when people speak of their family (to be explained in her history).

Traits: Is the clumsiest person ever. That includes dropping things, spilling things, tripping over things, falling randomly, and having terrible balance. Which means she can ride a bike, go rollerblading, etc. Don't be surprised if she randomly falls into someone else because she temporarily loses her balance.

History: She is, in fact, Rinette Goode's sister. Their parents are actually divorced. Aaliyah left her father to live with her mother when she turned 11. She hates family so much because she knows more than she lets on. When her sister was taken away, Aaliyah's life was turned around. Rinette used to be the person closest to Aaliyah, and when Rinette suddenly disappeared, Aaliyah was hurt and betrayed. She was confused until she overheard her father on the phone speaking about Rinette at the military base and having relocated her. She then grew to hate her father, especially when he pretended nothing had happened. She was 9 when Rinette was taken away. A couple years later, when she was sick of her life, she called up her mother to live with her.

NOTE: Rinette and Aaliyah's mother actually had powers. Rinette doesn't know, but Aaliyah learned when she discovered her own powers. Her mother explained the whole deal about powers, and sent Aaliyah to the academy. Little did either of them know, Rinette was also attending the academy.

Relationships: Rinette Goode's sister.

Other: Aaliyah sometimes lets her kindness show, but compensates by then being terribly mean. She knows she hurts people this way, and feels extremely bad for it. She just doesn't want anyone getting close to her again.

Pippin (pippin-plover) | 375 comments Mod
Name: Psmith A. Argyros (The P of Psmith is silent- it's a P.G. Wodehouse reference, originating from his mom.)

Alias: The Hacker

Age: 15

Power: Can project his consciousness as a stream of data, travelling through the Cloud or the internet and infiltrating computers. In this state, binary codes and other computer languages are as readable as English, and as easily manipulated. No encryption is too hard to unscramble, no password impossible to guess. He's been trying to figure out how to access people's minds, which are much like computers in their use of electrical impulses to carry information (if much more complicated), but no luck so far.

Weaknesses: This is not quite like being a technopath, as it is only effective on technologies with a computing element, and if he controls them it is by careful manipulation of code rather than a mysterious sympathy. His body is useless when his consciousness is projected. He must be utterly focused and motionless to project himself, and prolonged projection is exhausting, though his endurance is increasing. If the computer goes from off to on or vise-versa while he's inside, the resulting surge of energy gives him a rather serious shock and may knock him unconscious or produce temporary amnesia. He obviously can't write anything down while projecting, so his ability to bring back information is limited to his own capacious but not infinite memory. He knows his way around most standard firewalls and virus-removal programs, but a unique one could block him until he managed to unravel its programming. He's not sure whether he can be infected by computer viruses, and doesn't want to find out.

Appearances: An odd mix of Mediterranean and European, thanks to his multicultural parentage. His father was a second-generation Greek immigrant, whereas his mother was British. They met at Harvard while studying medicine, and Psmith resulted. In most ways he takes after his father. His features are sharp, though the overall facial shape is oval: prominent black brows, good straight nose, slightly jutting, strong chin. His hair curls close to his head and is deepest brown. Probably his most startling feature are his eyes, inherited by some genetic quirk from his mother’s mother, which are a limpid topaz blue. The eyes, sometimes icy and sometimes melting, are quite striking against his dark, naturally bronzed skin. He is of medium height and classical build, and pretty well-muscled thanks to the self-defense type classes he’s taken to make up for his more information-gathering oriented power. I would not call him handsome, though some might find him so- merely intriguing. As for fashion sense, he sadly has very little. Generally he wears t-shirts and jeans, in subdued or dark shades. He frequents sites like www.threadless.com, and has several shirts with various nerdy slogans.

Hero Appearance: Since his heroing is done entirely with his mind, he doesn’t really need a costume. Should the situation arise, however, it would make sense for him to don a black, tight-fitting suit with sewn-in armor plating, designed to look like pieces of circuit board. I can tell by the look on his face he doesn’t think much of that idea, but I LIKE IT, and he must submit to my will.

Personality: Psmith, at first glance, seems like the quintessential nerd. He seems to avoid society, looks like a nerd, and (when the situation requires it) talks like one too. However, as soon as he spots a misfit or socially inept person, he is quick to take them under his wings, universally surprising people by his personal warmth and charisma. He tries to make the new people feel welcome in the first days of school, and is perfectly happy to fade back into the background when the noobs find their own clique or circle of acquaintances. Though not one to start conversations, he always is willing to participate in them, asking the right sort of questions to keep people talking about themselves. In this way he has amassed quite a number of general acquaintances and friends who think him a “nice guy” and would likely side with him, should he take a strong stance on anything. He occasionally chooses a girl to flirt with, though he is never anything but chivalrous in his actions toward the opposite gender.

But it’s all a front, one that he designed after making an extensive study into psychology. People expect nerds to be nerdy, and he fulfills that expectation- to do otherwise would incite mistrust. However, nerds do not often make allies, and single-faceted personalities are not credible, so he added some charisma, creating a layered and believable personality. In reality, he is coldly analytical, analyzing every person that joins the school, learning what pleases them and what they dislike, discerning what their powers are and their weaknesses. He lies without qualms, and has very low standards of morality in general. He would have no problem breaking his word, if necessary. As a result, he trusts no one. Friendship has little meaning to him- people are to be manipulated, and so easy to manipulate they are. His greatest weakness, though, is his dislike of violence. Fighting holds no interest for him; he’d rather weasel out of conflict with silken words or perhaps blackmail. He is easily angered, though usually manages to hold it in fairly well. Also, he could possibly be brought low by a woman- if he were to fall in love, which is not likely, as it would take a very specific sort of person (whom I will not describe here, to avoid making him vulnerable- take a guess).

Likes: Cooking. He’s actually quite good at it, and some of his creations are delicious. He comes from an interesting gastronomical background- his father had a love for olive oil, fish, and vegetables, and his mother the solid meat-and-potatoes and fried foods of England. Just don’t eat anything he makes for you if he’s mad at you... You probably won’t die, but you’ll spend a lot of time hunched miserably over a toilet bowl. Also likes strategy games (He is the ultimate chess master, and don’t even play him in Stratego), fast computers, Windows products, herbal teas, caecilians, Minecraft, sudoku, and crossword puzzles. Flying the jet is fun, especially when done by projecting himself straight into the computer system- like wearing the airplane as a skin. And money. Oh yes, money.

Dislikes: Dial-up internet, firewalls, Apple products, pork, facial hair, people with a superiority complex (little hypocrite), fat people, the weak, the perceptive, the gullible- well, pretty much everyone except himself; overt violence, first-person shooter games, and Wii gaming systems. Wii’s are for n00bs.

Traits: Subtlety, and a strategic mind. He plans and plans, only taking action when every eventuality has been accounted for. He’s careful, covering his tracks whenever he does anything- has to be, because his power is offensively useless (unless he seizes control of a nuclear warhead, but he’s not stupid enough to do that). Is usually evasive rather than direct in conversation, except when whomever he’s talking to is too dull for abstract (and thus safer) language. Gets the occasional shooting, almost crippling, migraine. Compulsively holds doors for people and micro-organizes everything, from his own mind to the clothes in the closet.

History: The oldest of four kids, he grew up in a lively, loving (though non-religious) atmosphere. And somewhere along the line, he went horribly wrong. His mother discovered she had a flair for parenting early on, and when he was two she gave up her career as a pediatrician to become a stay-at-home Mom. As the household expanded with the birth of two girls and another boy (at fairly regular intervals), they moved from Massachusetts south to Virginia, where they managed to procure a fixer-upper, formerly one of the glorious manors of the South. The three younger children were homeschooled, but Psmith (at the ripe old age of 9) decided he was sick of putting up with them and begged to go to a public school. There he discovered that he was much smarter than he thought- brains tend to run in his family, and he got more than his fair share- and that other people were even stupider than his younger siblings. When he was ten, he began losing respect for his parents: kept busy by his younger siblings, they truly didn’t know what to do with their precocious eldest son. He had the sneaking suspicion he might have been adopted- surely such fools couldn’t have produced someone such as himself. By the time he was eleven, he was taking high school-level courses online, for fun, and dabbling in programming.

Then came that fateful day when his powers finally manifested. He was playing one of the StarCraft video games, utterly absorbed into a universe of strategy, and got somewhat stuck. And suddenly he found himself within the game itself, at first looking at the outer layers of graphics and sound effects, and then at the programming. It was supremely confusing at first, but with some practice he began learning to navigate in the odd out-of-body form, separating pulses of energy and bits of code into an understandable interface. Ever the ambitious sort, he soon found out just how useful this could be, changing his grades on the school’s online grades system to suit him (not that he ever made anything less than an A anyway). Then the fuller implications of his power began coming clear to him.

He got into Next Gen at age twelve, having discovered it and its ulterior purposes for himself. His parents had mixed emotions about sending him off to boarding school, but ultimately decided it was probably for the best. He packed his bags and his laptop computer, was dropped off at the door by his tearful parents, and never looked back. Next Gen has become his base of operations in the three years he’s been attending it. He is gathering information from the governments and armies of the world, and occasionally sells it to one country or another, putting all money into a numbered account in Switzerland. Mostly, though, he’s biding his time, gathering resources, making allies, searching out possible enemies, and forming a team. When the time is ripe, perhaps he will become a master puppeteer, playing the world against each other as he sees fit. Maybe he’ll simply become filthy rich. Perhaps he’ll become a powerbroker of sorts, installing world leaders for the right price. Whatever he does, he’s ambitious and brilliant, and he’s bound to be good at it.

Kaylee~ (sincerelyu) | 2466 comments Name: Annaliegh (Pronunciation: Anna lei) Jones

Hero Name/Alias: doesn’t have one

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Power: She has the power to injure people or animals. She does this with a quick flick of a wrist. Because of this, she can protect herself when she's in battle. The injuries are usually broken arms or wrists, but she can injure any ligament. The wound(s) heal(s) within two days time. If you ever face her in battle, you never need to go to the doctor, because it'll heal on its own! She can also break some other items. Most of the time...it's just knives or household objects liek vases, but they quickly repair themselves. She doesn't have as long as an effect on non-living things.

Weakness: Any questions about her personal history clouds her ability (makes it harder for her to concentrate on the place that she is going to injure or break.)Thunderstorms take a toll on her ability too. They make her brain tense, and she then has a hard time hurting them because her muscles start to have spasms.

Appearance: Annaliegh is very tall and skinny. She has long, choppy black hair. She weighs about 115 lbs and is about 5’8” tall. She has bright, green eyes that shine when she’s nervous or really happy. She usually wears a pair of ripped up jeans or a jean skirt, black low tops, some kind of black and silver t-shirt, and a silver necklace with an emerald inlaid in a silver case.

Hero appearance: When she’s in hero mode its nothing all that special. She usually just wears a baseball cap low over her face, black jeans, and a black t-shirt. Her necklace is perfectly hidden under her shirt.

Personality: She is very cocky and rude. She can be nice, but only when she wants to. She’s usually only nice if that person is nice to her. She thinks like a criminal, but she’s a hero. She is imprudent, which means she judges people before she actually gets to know them.

Likes/Dislikes: She HATES bombs and fireworks, because they make too much noise and give her migraines. She absolutely cannot stand cats. She doesn’t like cats because they scratch and randomly appear everywhere. She likes to read, but mostly classics. She likes to take part in combat, as long as she has a knife or a sword.

Traits: Annaliegh tends to bite her lip when she’s angry or doesn’t want to say anything. This often leaves her lips dry and bloody.

History: When she was five years old, she lost her three year old baby brother in an apartment fire. The starter of the fire was not found by the FBI, but she assumes it was her neighbor who hated her brother because he always left his bike in his yard. As a teenager, around the age of thirteen, she ran away from home. She ran away because her parents kept abusing her and cussing at her. They blamed her for her little brother’s death. At one point, she was bleeding and lying in the middle of her bedroom floor. She laid there for four and a half hours before her grandma found her (She came to see her granddaughter who she rarely ever saw.). Annaliegh had scars all over her face, because that’s where most of the blows were made.

For a couple of years, she ran around, persuading people to give her some of the things she needed to survive. Sometimes this tactic worked, other times it did not. She had almost everything she needed but a permanent home, a family, and a friend. She usually slept in makeshift shafts of twigs and sometimes slept in holes or caves for shelter. She got her food by disabling animals with her power, and then stabbed it with her knife. Her parents eventually set up a $1,000 award for anyone who found Annaliegh, so she took her knife and cut her hair into a choppy look, almost looking like spikes. This made her unrecognizable, and her parents gave up the search. No one has mentioned her ever since.

Relationships: She is now friends with Callie Elix. Zia is one of her enemies, but puts up with Chloe.

Other: Has been at NGA for three months.

THIS CHARRIE HAS BEEN KILLED BY JONATHAN THRASHER!!!!!!

Zakari | 189 comments Name: Akasha Soulstice
Hero Name/Alias: Solar Eclipse? Maybe just Eclipse? The idea is that the sun always seemed to die during eclipses, but always returned.

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Power: She cannot die. Shot, stabbed, burned, knocked out, even poisoned, it doesn't matter. She will always come back.

Weakness: Always feels the pain of death, no matter what. Also gets very depressed. Another thing: Akasha must be mortally wounded and officially die before she can come back. That means normal wounds that won't kill her won't heal until she dies. Plus, scars don't go away. She has many faint scars and a few serious ones.
Idea: what if Akasha can die if she kills herself?

Appearence: Always wears all-black clothing. Usually black skinny jeans and a black, long-sleeved shirt. She wears black combat boots and always has her mp3 player in her pocket.
Akasha's hair is a dark mahogany reddish brown. It waves down to frame her extremely pale face. Her skin is a flawless ivory, without any blemishes, except for her scars. Her elegant, almond shaped eyes are a piercing green and blue. The left eye is green, the right an icy blue. Hair falls to mid-back and she has side-bangs that fall to brush her long eyelashes. Stands around 5'9" and has long, delicate limbs. Her overall appearance gives the impression that she is a fragile being. However, Akasha is good in a fight and can hold her own.
Hero appearance: Doesn't change clothing; only ties a black scarf around her face, leaving just her piercing eyes to be seen.

Personality: As mentioned above, Akasha falls into depression every now and then. Not that she's bright and cheery normally. When not depressed, Akasha tends to keep to herself but will interact with people. She's nice, but not one of those bubbly, outgoing people. She doesn't like hanging out with people because she always feels excluded. But when she does become depressed, Akasha goes the extra mile to be alone. This is ironic because at the same time, she yearns for other people's company. Her mp3 player is always with her; is usually listening to it nonstop (she tweaked the battery to have an extra long 'life'). When depressed, all she'll do is listen to her music as she finds lonely places to hang out. The best time to talk to her is when she forgot to charge the battery.

Likes/Dislikes: Doesn't like being alone, but she dislikes being with people more. She would fix this by getting a pet, but alas--she is allergic to all kinds of animals. Not deathly allergic, though; she loves to ask for permission to go up and pet a dog. She also hates bright lights, loud and noisy people/places, and being depressed. Among her likes are animals and being alone. She also absolutely adores music--all kinds.

Traits: Unfortunately, Akasha suffers from slight memory loss. That's why she forgets to charge her mp3 player a lot. But she'll pretend to be listening to music by putting in her earbuds and tucking the end into a pocket, not connected to anything. Akasha forgets many things--it's actually quite the serious problem.

History: Never very special. Her father had some powers, so he hoped she had powers as well and sent her to the academy without knowing what her abilities were. Important: Her powers have not emerged yet--they will become known once they go on their first mission. After she was sent to NGA, her father simply disappeared, which hurt Akasha very much. She was very close to her father, loved him more than anything else in the world. Her mother died when she was 7, which is why she was so attached to her father.

Relationships: No siblings. Other relationships open.

Other: One of the reasons Akasha stayed at NGA was not only that her father was missing; she's very good at martial arts. Of course, nowhere near as good as some of the other charries, but good enough.

Name: Danuta Amaryllis Xyza Pettersen
Hero Name/Alias: TBD

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Power: Water manipulation. She can turn herself, and if she is in contact with others who are willing, into fresh/ salt water at will. If she is in the ocean, a river, a lake, etc, she can turn into a part of it. She can control water in her human form as well, can manipulate it, turn it into weapons, shapes.

Weakness: She must be near water to transform, once she is in her form, she can be taken out to sea, etc. by currents and such. She cannot control her power for more than 24 hours. She is new to being able to manipulate the water, and so often loses control of it.

Appearance: Danuta is a small boned, small girl with silvery-blonde hair that ends around her ribcage. She has bright, icy blue eyes, and is often seen with a smile playing on her pale pink lips. She often wears long, flowing garments. She is very thin for her age, and is around 4'' 11. She likes to wear light, pale colors, such as light green, yellow, pink, cream, and white.

Hero appearance: She wears a blue bodysuit that has been modified to transform into water when she does.

Personality: Danuta, her full name literally meaning, Little Deer Flower By The Sea, is a little deer in mind and appearance. She likes to go by Danu, Nu, or DAX. She is a very quiet, delicate girl, who can be hurt easily. She will stick by her friends, though, through thick and through thin. She dislikes fighting, but will fight if she must.

Likes/Dislikes: Nu likes swimming, reading, writing, drawing, etc. She dislikes people who use the word "like" in every sentence, and people who believe stereotypes.

Traits: Nu has a tendency to let her mind wander, and so often one will be speaking to her, and then the next minute, she could be in an entirely different world.

History: Danuta grew up in Greece, with Historian (english) parents, who were hardly ever home to care about Nu. She grew up with her trusty nanny, Ianthe. Nu was a quiet child, who never complained and liked to play in the ocean a lot. She discovered her power very young, but kept it a secret to all but Ianthe. As she grew older, Nu grew more lovely and also quieter, to the point where she spoke only to Ianthe. Ianthe feared for her charge, seeing how withdrawn she had become. Ianthe realized that Danuta felt alienated because of her power. Ianthe researched and found Next Gen, deciding to send Nu there, disguised as an elite boarding school. Nu's parents agreed, and Nu set off for Varginia, a place she had never been before....

Relationships:
Ianthe: Nu's beloved nanny back home in Greece, she sent her to Next Gen.

Possible Boyfriend: Psmith

Other: She just arrived in America, and she speaks greek and english fluently.

((Sorry if it is subpar, I'm on the verge of writers block. And Thera? There is something special about this guy if you notice correctly.))

Name: Gabriel Loman
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Alias: Monster

Power: Gabriel is about four times as strong as a normal human adult. Additionally, he can move at high speeds for short bursts. Due to the balance he assumes when he moves at those speeds, it may look like he teleported to an untrained observer. Finally, he can recover from wounds at about twice the rate that a normal would recover at. For example: he would heal a broken rib in 2 weeks instead of the normal 4.

Weakness: Moving at high speeds is incredibly tiring. Gabriel can only do about 4 bursts until he needs to take a rest for about ten minutes. If he pushes his limit, he could probably do about 7 before collapsing. Furthermore, recovering from wounds at a heightened rate consumes more calories, and thus he is significantly more lethargic during the recovery period.

Appearance: Gabriel is a tall boy for his age, 6 feet even though he is lanky for his size weighing only 155 pounds. He has black hair that never seems to stay down and is incredibly prone to bed-head. He is pale and is never seen without his black hoodie. He wears jeans and New Balance sneakers the majority of the time.

History: Gabriel’s mother died when he was three, run over by a car. His dad raised him alone, swearing off dating. In his grief he became prone to drinking, and though he was a good father when sober, verbally abused Gabriel when drunk. Gabriel hated school, and at the age of twelve began refusing to go somedays, instead ditching to go on long walks in the nearby park. The days he did go to school, he sat in the far back and didn’t talk to anyone. Teachers ignored him and the other kids didn’t care. He gradually became invisible and no one cared whether he came or not. Teachers stop bothering to send home letters about him missing and just marked him present. With this extra time, he took long walks through town and parks. He became familiar with every block, every store, every back alley. He knew the beggars, the cops and the storekeepers. And yet none seemed to notice him. He realized that he was turning invisible, that no one cared about him. He began to suffer from depression, assisted by his dad’s verbal abuse. When he was 14, he ran away from home, feeling more at home while wandering. Along the way, he sprained an ankle, but couldn’t afford to go to the hospital since they would have reported him to the police. One night, while sleeping in an alley off of Jamesworth Ave, he was woken to a strange sight. A large man with dark hair and a frightening smile stood next to him. But he had a strange aura of tranquility, though a type of ‘don’t try anything, it would end badly’ tranquility. The man offered Gabriel power if he would be ‘a fallback plan’. Gabriel agreed and the man disappeared. Gabriel woke up the next morning to find his ankle fixed and a new energy in him. He found his way to the NGA due to a strange pull in the direction of the academy. He has been at NGA for 2 years.

Personality: Gabriel isn’t what you would call book smart. He didn’t get past seventh grade, so he doesn’t know algebra or much science. He is incredibly good at reading people, however. He keeps to himself the majority of the time, but is an interesting kid if you can coax a conversation out of him. A brief warning though: never complain about your life when he is around. No matter how bad it was, he feels that his was worse (looking at you, Tyson. Don’t even think about it.).

Likes: Big cities, pandas, solitude, quiet people.
Dislikes: Contained spaces, noisy environments, complainers, educated and pretentious people.
Tendencies: Gabriel often flies of the handle and strikes out at people in violent rages.

Other: Recently, Gabriel has been having awful headaches.
He calls the high speed movement trick "Quickstepping"

Name: Alpine White

Hero Name/Alias: Sun
Age: 8

Gender: Female

Power: Light manipulation. She manipulates light into shapes, weapons, etc.
Weakness: If she doesn't have enough light, she isn't very powerful. She is overwhelmed by her power and often is afraid to use it.

Appearance: Alpine has extremely pale skin, with luminous golden eyes that glow when she uses her powers. Her long limbs and slender frame make her look taller than she actually is, about 4'11. She has very blonde hair, almost white, that ends about her mid-back, she's never cut it. She has a small button nose, with pale pink lips. She is slow to smile, but when she does, it's a soft, timid one.

Hero appearance: She wears a golden bodysuit, and long cream gloves.

Personality: Alpine is a shy person, but once you get to know her, she will protect you at any cost. When provoked, she will lash out.

Likes/Dislikes:
Alpine likes nice people, tea, trees, woodlands, mountains, winter, and snow.

She dislikes rude people, concrete, open fields, death, and blood.

Traits: Alpine tends to keep to herself, and tends to disappear to walk around once it snows. If someone with a power at all similar to her's, she will ask for them to help her get control (see history).

History: Alpine grew up in Vermont, among trees, lakes and mountains. Her parents were doting, loving, and everything you could ask for. But when, at six, she discovered her power, her parents were so afraid they started to believe that she was dangerous. They became afraid of her, and they would hardly interact with Alpine at all. Two years of fear later, when Alpine was experimenting with her power, her mother and father found her and yelled at her. In her rage, she lashed out and killed them. She ran away in fright, eventually ending up in Massachusetts, where another incident got Next Gen. to come and pick her up. She has just arrived here, and is very fearful of most.

Relationships:

Kat (sugaraddict) | 164 comments Name: Aaron Nan
Hero Name/Alias: Party Poison

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Power:
Poison, exactly what his name suggests. His bloodstream inhabits a toxin that is deadly to all mortal humans. Though to the eye, it looks like normal blood. Under microscopes in backlights, though, it glows an eerie green. And that’s how you know when you’ve been struck. Your skin starts to boil, and pulses a nuclear green. Then as it burns slowly and painfully, reduced to something that looks like burnt sugar. It transforms into a mess of bubbling black lumpy crystals.

The posion spreads like wildfire. "Like if you've ever seen a piece of paper been lit on fire? It starts slowly, then spreads out and slowly covers the whole thing until it's reduced to ash? But more blood makes it faster."

Weakness:
Aaron’s blood doesn’t clot. The name is hemophilia; he bleeds longer, faster and is extremely sensitive. A simple paper cut is deadly to him. This can be good, because it means that he can spray hard and fast, but it also can kill him.

Aaron prefers to use the tips of his fingers to spray, because they are the easiest to stop the bleeding. If you look closely at his gloves, there are little drawstrings around the ends where it cuts off to his finger. When he wants to stop he pulls it, so that the blood gets cut off. It stops slowly. He hasn't lost a finger but they tend to be a little chilly and have purple rings on them.

Appearance:
Hair that falls down to his ears, parted in the dead center and is too short to pull back is dyed a vibrant red, his own little ironic joke. Dark brown eyebrows echo the previous color of his hair and dark brown eyes accompany them. He has gnawed on bottom lips and rough hands. Marks etch up and down his arms, from his ‘defense’. Aaron has a tall build with moderately strong muscles and callused hands that are usually covered in leather gloves with the fingers cut out of them.

Hero: A mask comes on, yellow and a dark leather jacket. That’s pretty much it except for his neon yellow gun that he has mastered over the years.

Personality: Aaron inhabits a dark humor in him. Not exactly unpleasant, just a little frightening at times. He has a sharp tongue, as well. Sometimes he can just be plain weird, though. He’s not unfriendly, but he doesn’t befriend the people he finds annoying. He won’t spare your feelings, he’ll come right out and tell you if he finds you utterly annoying. He’s not afraid to share his opinion, and sometimes this gets him in trouble. He’s extremely persistent and determined, and open about everything. But enter at your own risk, graphic details come with a price.

Likes/Dislikes: Aaron enjoys a lot of different music types, but mostly rock punk. His iPod is his life, and he would die without it. He’s sharp in the thinker, and loves science for some reason. The cause-effect process and such, kids are often clamoring over each other when there’s a difficult lab to get to him first.

Traits: Aaron is trained in the martial arts, has been shooting guns since he was in the second grade, and loves to cook. He has precision in cutting because, well…

History: When Aaron was nine he was kidnapped by a Russian gang. Previously, he lived with his father and mother in a suburban neighboorhood a few hours away from New York City. Dad worked late nights and mom stayed at home. They were extremely wealthy, and tried everything they could to rid Aaron of this flaw. The bleeding. He was imperfect in their eyes. But Aaron’s father was hiding something. One day they kidnapped him, and brought him to an abandoned nuclear power plant, a few hours away from his home. The city claimed for it to be all cleaned up since the explosion back in 1987, but they either lied or didn’t know. They kept him in a basement, with glowing neon corners and damp air and walls. He was kept here for weeks, months. Skin and bones, he survived by licking the water on the walls. The water infected with nuclear waste.
The Russians would come in, sneer at him in their native tongue and leave. Little did they know that they were about to be overtaken by a corporation that had been tracking them for years. But it was not a government organization, something much worse. Aaron hid in the corner while he heard the horrible screeches coming from the other room. Then someone found him, yanking him up by the collar and splitting his dry, bitter lip. The blood began to pour, the acidic nuclear crimson stuff all over the man. He looked at him in disgust, and then it began to smoke. Turning green, he dissolved into nothing, no one came near him as he walked out of the power plant, his blood trailing a sizzling trail behind him.

He returned home, and told no one of this strange encounter. He went to therapy for years for what they diagnosed as trauma. The police couldn't get a warrant to question him, seeing he was a minor going through some serious emotional stuff. His dad slipped out of going to jail with a clever lawyer. When he was graduating from junior high they found out about his powers, an accidental slip in the bathroom burned a whole through the floor. They covered it up, making sure no one knew they had a mutant kid. He then escaped here.
Relationships:

Contact me through PM and/or chat if you have ideas.

Other: There is a way to stop the burning, but it's sort of weird. Talc powder is the answer. That's right, the mineral Talc. It's oddly soft and easily scraped off. Aaron found out one time in a science class. It has no effect on him, but he was playing around with it and then threw it on a kid he accidentally sprayed. It doesn't reverse the bubbling, it just stops it. Your wounds will heal over time, but if you lose an arm it's gone. He keeps a bottle of it with him almost always, in case of accidents.

Aaron has been at the Academy since he was a freshman, since his parents found out about his powers.

Catie | 7 comments Name: Claire Porter

Hero Name/Alias: Halo

Age: 12

Gender: Female

Power: She can read electromagnetic wavelengths that are withing a mile radius of her. Different types of wavelengths are different colors. If she focuses on just one she can see exactly what is going on. For instance watch a soccer game if someone is nearby or read the web page they are on or listen in on some one's conversation on their phone.

Weakness: Claire isn't the best with people and gets overwhelmed easily. She gets distracted a lot because of her power and doesn't respond that well without a routine. She get headaches around too many signals

Appearance: Claire's eyes are a light blue. They don't have the gray commonly mixed in with blue eyes. Her eyes are averagely set on her face but slightly larger than normal. They are framed by long lashes giving her eyes a doe eyed look. Her hair is a light brown, Carmel color. It is curly falling in ringlets. Her hair is long falling down to her lower back. It is thick. She usually leaves it down because she finds it very pretty. Her face is heart shaped with high cheekbones. Her skin is very pale. She doesn't like hanging around outside. Her face doesn't freckle, it burns. Her nose is a button nose slightly upturned at the end. Her lips are a light pink color and are thin. She has a slight natural blush on her cheeks. She is short for her age only 4'8.5". She is extremely skinny in a way that looks unnatural. Claire doesn't have much muscle on her. She has a large scar on the back of her calf from when she was little. You could see her looking down or staring off into space. She looks nervous and timid most of the time. Clarie likes pretty sparkly things. The girlier the better. In a way she dresses more like she is 8 than she is 12.

Hero appearance: Halo's hero outfit is purple. It has the traditional spandex uniform with a Claire touch to it, a flouncy tu-tu. Her mask is simple with slightly wider openings at the eyes so it is easier for her to pick up signals.

Personality: She is socially awkward. She doesn't like people much. She is timid and nervous around most people. When she gets to know someone and like them her whole demeanor changes. But that doesn't happen often. She is strange and often scares people off as she will flip through the signals with her hands when no one else can see them.In the rare chance she does met someone she likes she will be much more opinionated and stubborn. She gets hyper and bubbly. She prides herself on knowing as much as she can and so she is a tad bit of a know-it-all

Likes/Dislikes: She likes things that sparkle and has a special fascination for fairies. She likes sweets and will do practically anything for chocolate. Claire hates blue foods. She refuses to eat any of them. She hates when things ruin her routine. She hates crowds and will get very quiet and scared in them

Traits: Claire has the tendency to throw a fit when she doesn't get her way. She has a tendency to make sure she had perfect hair. She often forgets people are watching and can't see the wavelengths, and will flick through her wavelengths to see what's going on in everyone else's lives. Walking normally isn't something she does. She more so bounces or flounces with each step.

History: Claire grew up sheltered from the world. Her parents thought she was crazy and doctors diagnosed her with autism. She refused to talk until she was 5.

The first time she talked when she was 5 was because she saw on a traffic camera footage her father getting into a car accident. She tried to tell her mother what was going on but her mom was too busy being overjoyed that her kid could talk to really pay attention to what she was saying. That car accident was the one her father died in.

Claire didn't fit in at school and had a hard time in it without any friends. She would try to speak up but always seemed to say the wrong things. She learned that it was better to just be quiet.

Her mother enrolled her into NGA because she finally realized that her daughter wasn't as crazy as originally thought. She was gifted too.

Name: Hero Estrella

Age:13

Gender: Female

Power: To put it simply, she's a walking chameleon. If she wants to, she can blend in with anything, and become that thing - if she can find a similarity between her and the object. For example... If she wanted to be like a clock, it could be something as simple as, I can tell time. This power comes in handy for eavesdropping.
She doesn't turn into a color, she turns into an object, or blends into the object (not by changing into the colors but becoming transparent so you can see merely the object.)
When she is the object, she only makes the noise accurate to that object, so for example, if she were blending in/being a wolf, she couldn't talk - if she did, it would be translated into a series of howls. There is a difference between partly being (What I mean by partially being is she goes into the other object/living thing's body, but the object/living thing's soul is also intact and thinking for itself) and camouflaging.

So therefore, there are names for both of them:
Camouflaging: Camuleuous
Being: Verbumious
So, yeah. That's her power.

Weakness: Sometimes, when Hero is under pressure, it is hard for her to find a similarity between the object and her she wants to become or camouflage with. Occasionally also, the object or creature resists her, and she can't camouflage with it. Some creatures don't like the idea of her interfering so much that they find a way to block her out. She also can't bond with willow trees in general; she always comes out with her powers drained for a few days.

Appearance: Hero has strawberry blonde hair naturally, but she dyes it constantly, and her skin is nearly translucent. She's small for her age - 4'10 - and slim, although she's not freakishly skinny. She has blue-green eyes on summer days, grey eyes during the winter, and dark brown when it rains.

Personality: Although Hero is pretty solemn, she can also have fun. She jokes a lot with her powers (blending into people, which gives the feeling you are walking through a cloud to the subject of the blending) and is overall very caring of people, although she does snoop and is quite sneaky when she needs to be. She feels like she needs to make it her business to be in everyone's business (whether they know it or not).

Likes: Finding out whether or not the gossip she overheard is true or not, Chinese food, cramming for tests (crazy, right?) and action films.

Dislikes: Hearing people talk behind her back about her, romance movies, war, and when people distrust her.

Traits: Hero loves very busy areas where she can blend in and here everyone's secrets. She doesn't really tell anyone else about what she heard, and never teases, but just likes to hear what everyone is up to. She loves roses - rose gardens are her favorite places, and makes tea constantly.

History: When Hero was born in a small town in Iowa called Whiddleton, her dying Grandmother held her in her arms and told her parents, Isabel and George, "Oh, yes, this is the one. Please, you will go through times of hardship as a couple. But never forget that a person of importance - maybe a lawyer, professor, even in the for of a president - will show up and tell you of important news." Then she closed her eyes forever.
Hero grew up in a household where George was cheating on Isabel and Isabel was cheating on George. In other words, she grew up in a household of secrets. When she was eight, she wished she could hear what Mommy and Daddy were doing when they would go out, not together, but alone - she didn't believe that Mommy could get that many manicures or that Daddy could go to work that much - he didn't have a big deadline due, like he said. So she thought she'd play a game where she was invisible. She looked down and found that she was. Shortly after, she caught both of her parents. After they got their divorce, a mysterious lawyer dropped by their the final divorce paper signing to tell them they needed to check out the Next Gen.

Relationships: She is sometimes friends with the creatures or objects she performs "verbumious" on, but it's more complex than it seems. They all have respect for her after she performs this on them, (whether it's scared respect or not) and although they feel rather interfered with and generally feel very annoyed at first, she, being a charming person, often rids their anger. She has mismatched friends from all over - An old woman at the candy shop, A kindergartner whose class she helped out in, and more.

Kat (sugaraddict) | 164 comments Name: Kali Bloom
D.O.B: April 13
Hero Name/Alias: Slo'Mo (Slow Motion)

Age: 15 (Freshman)

Gender: Female

Power: The ability to slow anything. Make it sluggish and ultimately stop it all together. It's through a series of extractions of chemicals projected through her palms, and over the years she learned how to use it voluntarily and stop it from happening when unwanted. When it does happen ultra violet streams of purple 'light' are shot out from her hands, but it's not light. It's particles covering every cell and atom around her. It only takes a matter of milliseconds, and you rarely will see it. She can select if she wants you to stay in present time, though. When she does this, it's not only in one spot though, it covers the entire universe.

What is projected are types of an experiment, that were used to slow her body down to adjust some problems. Her body grew immune to it, but her cells have to release built of particles of this toxin. Her body keeps reproducing more, because it took over her system. So, when needed, she can project these cells out of her palms. But, it's super fast and covers everything (unless she directly makes sure not to cover something), if you are lucky enough to catch it before it happens you'll see millions of particles flying through the air so fast it looks like a purple light. They are major depressants, and slow things down. To the extent of stopping.

Weakness: Whatever nutrients she consumes immediately dissapears. The cancer cells eat it up to get more energy to destroy her body. Because of this she's almost scaringly thin, and has a constant ache in her stomach. She drinks a lot of water, because the cells don't seem to care about it. She also has shaky fingers, because she's really weak. Her muscles are constantly aching from the cellular breakdown, and she's not sure if she'll make it past 20 if she keeps on getting consumed like this.

Appearence: Bleach white hair (color was consumed long ago) falls in gentle waves down to a few inches past sloped shoulders. A small button nose rests on a long bridge to a pair of exauhsted stormy grey blue eyes. Dark lashes frame them and a sprinkle of caramel freckles dot her cheek bones. She has a frail frame, only skinny jeans in size -0 fit her. But she doesn't take this in vain, she'd much rather be a size 6. Her lips are always a chapped, pale pink color.
Hero appearence: When Kali turns Hero, she pulls her hair up into a high ponytail. She wears a simple black mask that fits onto her face perfectly and pulls on a pair of ankle boots with flat bottoms and flexible soles. She wears stretchy black 'jeggings', and a tanktop under a black sweatshirt. It's hard to spot her because it's all black.

Personality: Kali is extremely quite, timid and shy. She's easily frightened and tends to slip away out of the spotlight and blend with the crowd. When she's with a select few she's comfortable she's a ball of light, bright and cheerful. But she mostly is that quiet girl that doesn't like confrontation. She's extremely loyal to her friends, and will always be there, but is rather passive. Her teachers are always fond of her, because she prides herself in good grades. Being one of the smallest, most frail kids makes her confidence minimal if nothing. So books are good companions, because she can hardly do sports without toppling over.
When she does speak her mind, though, which is rare, she often expresses intelligent views. She can be a little synical at times, shunning to herself the dull jocks who like to joke around. They don't realize how precious life is. When she's not pondering her existence, she can be an avid, vigourous, intellectual girl to talk to.
Likes/Dislikes: Sparkly things, it's sort of an odd thing. She likes to carry something with a luster to it. Whether it be a peridot ring or a small ruby locket, she likes rubbing the surface. She doesn't like dull. So, cloudy days, rain, dreary weather, diminished rocks, dim lighting. She either likes it bright, or completely dark. The in between is such a let down.

Traits: Kali tends to take in small animals and children. If there is a small rabit that needs help, she will be the one to volunteer. She likes the calm touch and being depended on, because she's not very useful to anything else.

History:
Her parents were at the top of middle-class. Her father owned a car dealership and her mother was a proud nurse. They were overjoyed to find they were expecting, especially since Mrs. Bloom was to believed unfertile.
When she was a child she had multiple birth defects. Heart valves and arteries were crossed the wrong way and she had frequent surgeries. Her future was looking particularly condemned. There was a study, a chance for her to survive but it was not proven. But it was their only choice. Since her heart was so mangled and disoriented, they could not surgically remove and replace vital parts to it without her dying in a matter of seconds. So, they used a mixture of a chemical that slowed the body. But they subjected it to her through radition, slowing her body's motion without killing her. Like hybernation. The side effects were discovered after. Cancer spread through her body, but slowly and painfully. It inhabited everything, bones, flesh, cartalige. Slowly eating away at her. But it also gave her the power, in her hands the cancer could spread from what she touched. But it would die in a matter of seconds, and it wasn't the same as it was in her. Since she had already been slowed, it did not make her slow. But the chemicals that came with this new sort of cancer would come off and slow the air, people, objects around her. And while everything slowed, time would too.
No one notice this, though, because they were all frozen in time. At first she seemed healthy, but then she became frail and weak from the cancer. Nothing treated it,

Name: Bettany Lark Rommeli (goes by Lark)

Hero Name/Alias: TBD

Age: 13

Gender: Female

Power: Clairvoyance; she can think of a person/place within a mile radius, and observe them through her mind.

Weakness: It takes EXTREME concentration, and if she is interrupted, she will not be able to see the person. She must also conjure up the image of the person through her mind -- it won't work unless she has seen the person physically before.

Appearance:
http://images.google.com/imgres?q=13+...

Thick, dirty blond hair falls down Lark's shoulders, often kept back in a braid or ponytail, and her mossy green - fawn brown eyes are often serious. Her slightly plump cheeks and dimples give her a look of innocence. She is often seen in jeans and a simple tee-shirt, worn with a hoodie. Lark stands at about 4'9, and weighs about 85 pounds. She has a thin frame.

Hero appearance: She doesn't really have one, but if she did, it would be a large black mask, and a gray body suit.

Personality: Lark is usually serious, calculating and thinking behind her pretty face. She can be bubbly, sweet, and silly, but is usually found spouting long vocab words and contemplating the meaning of life. She's best described as a studious kid -- or at least that's what meets the eye. She does enjoy studies, but she is eager to know more about everyone here at Next Gen. She's a professional people watcher, and her files are thickening as her stay here goes on.

Likes/Dislikes: She dislikes nosy people (though she is quite nosy herself), rude people, hard math problems. She likes to sit in the library, read, listen to silence. That sort of thing.

Traits: Lark has a tendency to find a secluded area to use her power, as to avoid others asking about it.

History: Lark grew up the youngest in a family of eight kids, and often was over looked. The young girl took advantage and found vantage points from which to watch her siblings. Before long, she knew everyone's secrets -- which sister was sneaking out to see her boy friend, which brother had a crush on the art teacher. Her power developed at the age of 11, and she convinced her parents to send her to what they thought was an "elite boarding school". She has been here for two years.

Relationships: None yet.

John Egbert (heirofbreath) | 184 comments Name: Minami (Minna (MEE-nah, not MIN-ah)) Matsukoa Kurosawa
Hero Name/Alias: Ink

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Power: *Minna generates ink from his skin or mouth to use it as and offensive attack or as an escape route; to get away from an opponent. If he were to spray ink into his opponents eyes it could temporarily block their vision, allowing him enough time to get away.

Minna can cause ink to be sticky, hence trapping his foe -- and if he makes the ink sticky on his hands and feet he can crawl up walls. He can also mimic the properties of ink and can turn his entire body into solid ink. When he does this, he can be sliced/shot/stabbed/burned and it will not harm him.

Weakness: If he is entirely ink, he may be resistant to many physical attacks but water makes him literally fall apart and if submerged completely Minna will be unable to re-stabilize. However, if you were to gather ALL of the watery/ink substance that was him and send an electric current through it he would be able to at least gather into one blob again. But if he were to get tossed into the ocean? Just forget about it.

Also, it's incredibly difficult for him to control his production of ink, and if he's not concentrating hard enough he may start dripping. And in freezing temperatures he can be frozen solid and rendered paralyzed until someone unthaws him.

In addition, because of his emotional vulnerability, attacks that involve mind reading or fear inducing may psychologically harm him more than they would someone else.

Appearence:
description

His hair is black, long, and always completely covers his face. He also owns a large black and white striped wool sweater that is way too big and has obtained many holes over the years. He usually wears it over a shirt which can be a different colour depending on the day. If you were, on an extremely rare occasion, to see his eyes, they would be entirely black. Has been accused of being an onryō (a mythological spirit from Japanese folklore who is able to return to the physical world in order to seek vengeance) in disguise many times.

Hero appearence: Black pants and tee shirt, so the ink stains don't show. Boots which often get lost and black goggles.

Personality: **Minna is normally quiet and silent, possibly to the point of coming across as emotionless, but will suddenly become talkative and sweet and cute when alone with the right person if they manage to push the right button to get him to pour his heart out, revealing that he's actually just shy.

Minna will not talk unless spoken to/required to. He avoids talking because of his shyness, but if need be, he will speak. Also, Minna tends to feel more power in numbers. If he's with a group that he's comfortable with, then the shyness factor will very likely decrease. He's also very emotionally vulnerable, and if you deliberately harm him...you may want to watch your back.

Likes/Dislikes: He likes sweet things, specifically hard candy, and if you were to give him such as a gift you could easily gain his friendship. He also likes plush toys, which he is rather embarrassed to admit, and any sort of flirting will make him immediately fall for you. However, there is a line between flirting and sexual harassment which he expects to be recognized and not crossed. He also dislikes fish, which he finds to have an odd smell and revolting taste no matter how it's cooked. And the quickest way to be first up on his hit list is to humiliate him. Emotionally screw with him and he will slowly plot revenge, which he feels is best served cold.

Traits: All of that hair is a bit of a drawback, leading to Minna not always seeing where he is going. He will bump into things such as corners of tables and even people rather easily.

History: When Minna's mother, Takeshi, a doctor, found out about his powers she put Minna through many extensive treatments in attempts to try and cure him. However, none of these treatments worked and they only served to make Minna's condition worse -- as well as to often put him under the mercy of another doctor who was in fact sexually harassing him.

Eventually, Takeshi decided that she would never make her son normal and succumbed to despair. It was then that she discovered Next Gen Academy. However, sending Minna there would mean that he would have to go alone -- she couldn't just abandon her hospital in Japan, after all. Minna was overjoyed, as he had grown quite sour of his mother at that point.

Relationships: Minna used to have a relationship with a patient at one of the hospitals he was stationed in when he was younger. However, other than that he finds himself to be completely naive in the relationship department.

Other: Being a native of Japan, he does indeed speak Japanese. His accent, however, is thin and his English is almost perfect.

Kaylee~ (sincerelyu) | 2466 comments Name: Zia Rylands
Hero name/Alias: "Z"
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Power: Locator. Zia practically has a natural GPS system implanted in her head. Once she knows you, she can keep tabs on where you are, what you might be doing, and who you might be with.
Weaknesses: Unfortanetly, there are several glitches to this "GPS." If she doesn't know your name or power, she will not be able to locate you. If she hasn't met the person you are talking to, she cannot see their face. She can only hear your voices. The "GPS" cannot work when it is storming!!! It's like electricity, it shuts down when there is a break in the current. Because of the storm, she cannot track.
Appearence: She has strawberry blonde hair. Her long red-ish hair is always lightly curled past her shoulders. She also has light green eyes that are almost inimidating. When you see her, she is most likely wearing: boots, black jeans, and a light-grey shirt. She is about 5'7" tall and weighs around 137 lbs.

Hero Appearence: Zia wears black to blend in with the shadows. Black boots, black jeans, and a long sleeved shirt is her attire. The only thing that stands out is the blue streak in her hair. When she wears her hair up (this is usually the only time), the thick blue stripe becomes visible.
Personality: Zia is quick to think and quick to speak. She doesn't talk much, but generally states her honest opinions. She also keeps information about her power to herself. Most people find it hard to discover her power, but that's because she's overprotective and her power is just easy to hide. Her sly personality often raises questions. She is talented and puzzing, and that's what stumps everyone else. This amuses her constantly.

Also, once you form an alliance with her, it usually sticks. Unless, she finds out that you're a total jerk or has lied to her about something. If she wants an alliance, she is good at persuading you into it. She finds it difficult, but usually manages to make it work. This is similar to her work ethic.

Likes/Dislikes: She loves flutes. A the age of eight she learned how to play as a past time. She loves to read. Who doesn't like an occasional classic? She hates video games. She thinks that they are completely pointless and can't help you with anything. She doesn't like candy either. Zia doesn't have much of a sweer tooth. The last time she ate a peice of candy, she immediately got sick afterwards.

Traits: She bites her lip to keep herself from saying things that she shouldn't. It's also just one of her nervous habits. If she doesn't know what to say, then she bites her lip.
History: Her child was much like everyone elses...Or, that's what she likes to say anyways.

As a seven year old child, her twin sister, Chloe, was seperated from her. Zia often asked why her sister was gone, but she never recieved any answers. She usually looked like a ghost. She had no life, no spirit. She felt as if she had nothing. After a year of moping around, her grandmother got fed up with watching this pathetic little girl, and decided to stick her in some kind of instrumental learning. (Her mom and dad disappeared after she and Chloe were born. No one knows where they might be.) Zia quickly found that one of her gifts was playing the flute. Constantly, for the nest three years, she played the flute as a past time. The small girl was happier than usual.

At age fourteen, Zia was reunited with Chloe. Neither Chloe or Zia remembers how they were reunited. A few days afterwards, their grandmother died of natural causes. With the help of Chloe, she quickly got over the death and moved on.

Relationships: She has a twin, and her name is Chloe. She cannot stand Annaliegh, they are enemies. She doesn't care much for Callie's bubbly personality, but she's friends with her anyways.

Other: Zia and Chloe have a slight advantage and disadvantage. The advantage is that they can pretend to be eachother, in order to fool people. The disadvantage is that they hate being without the other.

John Egbert (heirofbreath) | 184 comments Name: Taegan Christopher Bass (Toph)
Hero Name/Alias: Short Circut

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Power: Toph can generate electricity. Using said electricity he can shoot concentrated balls of electric energy, use static cling to crawl up walls and theoretically ride electrical currents.

Weakness: Water cancels out Tophs' immunity to the electric currents that are constantly surging through him for as long as he's submerged in it, bringing enormous amounts of pain and injury as well as depleting him of any electrical power until he finds a place to "recharge" (an energy source to drain). In addition, rubber and silicate are resistant to electricity and if confronted by such things Toph's power would be useless.

Also, Toph's power isn't very controlled, so technology is a no -- he'll accidentally short it out. And just because his electricity is uncontrolled doesn't mean he can just make unlimited amounts of it. Toph will need to recharge if he expends too much electricity -- and unfortunately for him there isn't a powerbox around every corner.

Appearence:
description

Toph is 5"4 and weighs exactly 123 lbs, which he considers to be too much. His hair (which he seems to be constantly combing, as it's always untidy from the static electricity) is fashioned in a short bob cut and is dyed a light brown. He can usually be pointed out by his yellow cardigan, which he wears at all times lest he misplaces it -- as he's managed to do with the other five cardigans he used to own. And finally, another marker of Toph is the broken camera that hangs around his neck.

Hero appearance: If Toph were to choose his hero costume, it would be something like this. Only he'd find a way to integrate his cardie in somehow.

Personality: *Toph generally acts like he's been mainlining Red Bull and crystal meth. He is possessed with an over-abundance of energy, such that he runs everywhere (often with arms waving wildly or outstretched like airplane wings), speaks quickly (sometimes unintelligibly so), and always does everything fast, fast, fast!

He's filled with confidence and determination, regardless of whether he's actually competent or not. Sometimes, to the surprise of many, Toph slows down for a serious or introspective moment. But not for long — he lives his life full-throttle. Whatever you do, don't give him too much coffee, cola or sugar. If you value your sanity, that is.

Likes/Dislikes: Toph likes sugar to the point where he'll eat it by the spoonful if given the chance. It's a shock to many that the kid doesn't have diabetes yet. He also likes bright, vibrant colors. Despite his outgoing and loudmouthed nature he prefers company with the quieter and angstier sort, which more often than not leads to trouble.

Toph is unnaturally bias against telepaths, memory readers and the like because more than anything he hates the idea of someone rummaging through his thoughts. He has a strange fear of cats and believes that they are evil and conniving creatures hiding behind a mask of cuteness. He's afraid of most animals in general, actually, considering them to be uncontrolled mysteries. He dislikes sleep, thinking that it's wasteful and takes up some perfectly good hours of the day.

Traits: When excited or joyful, Toph has a tendency to blink a lot and widen his eyes to the point of looking demented.

History: Toph's father, Ace, never seemed to notice or even like his son before he discovered his electric abilities. Ace, a failed scientist, was overjoyed and relished in his new project: Project Short Circut.

Toph's mother, Myra, had been having a long standing affair with another man and finally left Ace when Toph was nine. She did not take Toph with her, or even express interest in wanting any more to do with her son.

Ace was so highstrung that his presence managed to mellow even Toph out. Ace's new ideas and plans for testing his son's powers kept Toph on edge every day.

After Ace's "project" got out, it wasn't long before a Next Gen agent took an interest in what was going on. Said agent propositioned the school to Ace, who was resistant to allow Toph to go for fear of losing his project. He tried to make the decision for Toph, who was outraged.

Long story short...Toph threw a tantrum and Ace let him go.

Relationships: None, as of yet.

Kaylee~ (sincerelyu) | 2466 comments Name: Chloe Rylands

Hero Name/Alias:

Age:15

Gender: Female

Power: Anti-gravity. Chloe can walk on walls, ceilings, doors, up tree trunks, whatever. She is unlimited to where she can walk, run or jump. She does this with an thing referred to as "the gravitational rope". What it does is this: it helps her stay on walls, ceilings, ect. This rope is imaginary, but she contols it with her head. She can cut off the gravity to move around as she wishes. It's like an on and off switch for a light. Almost. This ability often helps her avoid counter attacks, or just attacks in general. She loves to trick people by hiding up on the ceiling and releasing her gravitational pull to fall. It scares them most of the time.

Weaknesses: Weather is a huge problem. The effects of weather can make her ability stronger or weaker. For example, say it was windy, thundering, and raining. Her ability would fade because the weather is so bad. On the other hand, if it was nicer out, the ability percieves to get stronger. There is also the matter of the mental capability of controlling "the rope." When Chloe does not have a full, clear image of the rope in her head, she cannot rely on her power to work. Say, she was standing at a wall. If she wanted to climb up it, she'd have to think about the rope. In other words, if the image of the rope isn't clear, she falls, or cannot do it.

Appearence: She has strawberry blonde hair that is darker than Zia's. Her hair is always straightened. Sometimes, it is pulled into a half, so her hair partly dangles in her face. She has green eyes like her sister. The only difference is that they are more full in color. When you see her, she is most likely wearing: white washed jeans, a lightly colored t-shirt, and black low tops. Her black low-tops appear to be worn from years of wear and use. She is about 5'6.5" tall and weighs around 129 lbs. She is almost identical to her twin in every way.

Hero Appearence: When in hero form, her hair is pulled into a low ponytail, under a Yankees baseball cap. Her hair falls just enough to frame the sides of her face. She also wears jeans a white shirt with a silver design printed on it, a silver necklace with a blue bead, and her old low tops.

Personality: Chloe is bright and cheery. She's not as cheerful as Callie, or as glowing. She talks in a polite tone, and often recieves multiple alliances. She talks carefully, and always respects the people around her. She seems to take what people tell her into consideration. Chloe never reveals her power unless it is absolutely necessary, just like her sister. She doesn't use her power, unless it is in battle. Most people consider this odd.

Even though she seems all nice and pretty on the surface, Chloe is known for being a vicious fighter. She is extremely handy with a knife, and can use any other battle item to succeed. She doesn't give into anything anyone says to her, ever. She's headstrong and a useful tool, if you can get her to like you.

History: Chloe grew up with her Grandpa in Greece. There she learned to love soccer, and speak two languages. English and Greek. Her accent is sometimes heavy, but shows when she talks. Her grandfather was a very sick man. He was often placed in the nearest hospital.

Unfortanetly for her, this left Chloe with her rude cousins, Blake and Dave. They always made fun of her and constantly made her do things for them. They treated her as if she was their slave. The often beat her when she did not do what they asked, or did not do something correctly. Chloe's only refuge was her prized soccerball. This was all she ever did in her free-time. She'd play a pick-up game anywhere in the streets. If there wasn't a game, then she would start one. Sometimes, she would just walk outside and juggle the ball with her feet.

At age fourteen, Chloe was reunited with her sister. She has no clue how she arrived there, or why she suddenly moved back with her sister. A few days after her arrival, their grandmother died of natural causes. Chloe was not close to her grandmother, so she had an easy time getting over her death. While she was strong, she helped Zia get over the death quickly and move along.

Traits: She's constantly running a hand through her. Her hair often gets in her face, and it drives her crazy. Also, when she doesn't know what to say in a conversation, she often spaces out, so you might have to wave your hand in front of her face to get her to snap out of it.

Like/Dislikes: She hates candy, just like her sister. No exact reason, she just does. She loves soccer. She likes to kick around a ball when she's bored, and she happens to be really good at it too.

Relationships: Zia's twin sister.

Other:Zia and Chloe have a slight advantage and disadvantage. The advantage is that they can pretend to be eachother, in order to fool people. The disadvantage is that they hate being without the other. Chloe also has a Greek heritage, so that's why she has a Greek accent.

Ethan Name: John Allmann
Hero Name/Alias: Aeroblast
Age: 16

Gender: male

Power: He is part avian. He has white & light brown wings, bird-of-prey eyesight, his bones are hollow, and his fingernails/toenails are as sharp and strong as talons.
Weakness: His powers make him have an abnormally high metabolism. He needs to eat ALOT. He can survive with little amounts of food, but he can't do anything much besides lay there.

Appearence: http://images.wikia.com/camphalfblood... He is about 5'10, and weighs around 150 pounds. His eyes change color with his mood, and have a ring of light brown around the center. He usually wears a pair of dark blue jeans and a plain, one color t-shirt with slits in the back for his wings, which he can compress to almost entirely on his back.
Hero appearence: as Aeroblast John wears a black leather coat, a motorcycle helmet, dark blue/black jeans, a plain black T-shirt, dual arrow quivers, and uses a long bow.
Personality: John is usually jovial, and has a great sense of humor. He will make friends quickly, as he has a feeling about him that makes you want to trust him. If you have the misfortune of angering him, it will usually last a long time, as he doesn't forgive easily. John feels like you always need to be on your toes, so he will often dive-bomb you just to test your reactions. He is extremely loyal, which could be the downfall of him someday.
Likes/Dislikes: John has an extreme love of sarcasim, borderline creepy really. He hates not having anything to do, as boredom is his life-long enemy, according to himself anyways.
Traits: John is constantly moving his right hand, such as flipping his lucky quarter, tapping his fingers, really anything.

History: John was loved as the eldest child in his family, and was very popular in his grade in school. This changed when his wings started to grow at the age of 9. His family thought he was a freak, and beat him daily, and at school he could no longer participate in sports, as it would reveal his wings, so his "popularity" went down until no-one liked him. At the age of 11, he ran away, and joined a circus, before running away from there, and living in the wilderness.
Relationships: According to him, he was orphaned at the age of 9.

Other: none.

Name: Emleon Mystic

Hero Name/Alias: Cybun (mix of Cyborg and Bunny XD)

Age: 13

Gender: female

Power: She can partially transform into any animal she can think of. This means she can only take on certain features from the animal, like gills from a fish so she can breathe underwater, wings from a bird to fly and so on. She cannot turn into a full animal of any kind since it is beyond her.

Weakness: Electrical shocks and high pitched noises make her loose her partial transformation and also makes her pass out.

Appearence: Her hair is this color: http://data.whicdn.com/images/2722421...

She is a little on the tall side, with long limbs and pale skin. She has dark violet eyes and is rarely seen with her hair up, since she much prefers it down and free. Her 'costume' is actually a part of her body and cannot be removed, so she wears a dress that goes down to her knees that is a dark purple. She wears a hoodie when out in public with holes for the rabbit ears so it seems a part of her outfit.

Hero appearence:

Personality: Emleon is very smart and observant. She see's more than she says and knows more than she shows. She doesnt talk because she has yet to learn the English language, but you can tell when she is passionate about something. She senses you coming, so it is hard to sneak up on her. She loves to explore new things about America and its customs.

Likes/Dislikes: Emleon likes to walk around barefoot, fly, cook, read and find animals in real life. She dislikes being in a room that is empty and devoid of life because it makes her panic. She also cannot stand people who are mean to others.
Traits: She tends to walk around with an animal encyclopedia that she uses to practice drawing on specific animal traits.

History: Emleon was once used as an experiment for a place she knew only as The Facility. They tested her and experimented on her to try and find out how she was able to use her powers. They thought she was an alien and she was locked away there for four years. She escaped one day when she convinced a guard that she needed some outdoor exercise. She grew wings and flew away as soon as she was outside, hoping to never see the Facility again.

family: she thinks her fathers name was Tsuko
Crush: open

Other: she has a pet Squirrel monkey that she saved from an abusive home. it hangs out in her pocket or hides in her hair and looks like:

Fight to death is her favorite option. If she sees a chance, swill kill them. Basically, she is a mean and very icy person, but sometimes just sometimes (rarely), she is nice. Ever since then, she saw the world change around her. Then she finally was sure that the spell worked. She traveled all around the world trying to find that person. She was certainly sure that the person did the same spell as she did. So he won't die. Now she stopped at the academy to make herself more powerful.

Kaylee~ (sincerelyu) | 2466 comments Name: Ryan Folenganger

Hero Name/Alias: Black Death

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Power/ Weaknesses: Infliction of disease. He can inflict any type of disease known to mankind. Whether you have been vaccinated or not does not matter, he can still inflict disease with a touch of his right hand. He doesn’t need to touch you skin to skin, even an article of clothing sends the disease through like a shock. However, if he does not think about what disease he wishes to inflict you with as he touches you, it will not work. It also HAS to be with his right hand. He has a huge advantage with this ability to inflict disease. If he was to give a disease to a random man and that man were to see a doctor… and the doctor tries to help him; things go bad. If someone tries to heal the disease given by Ryan, then they inherit the disease as well. Unfortunately, the disease does not last as long(meaning like they aren’t sick for forever). The disease inherited by the subject lasts about a half hour, unless someone decides to interfere with it(meaning healing). The person who tries to heal it, increases the amount of time that it last by about fifteen minutes. Also, his diseases CANNOT kill someone else. It is absolutely impossible. Other than that, his ability is basically to make people sick.

Appearance: Ryan is about 6’ 5” and weighs around 140. He seems to be extremely lanky, mostly because he likes to run around a lot. So he’s not stalky, he’s a decent size but still doesn’t really fit in with the “average size.” He has brown hair with a red-ish tint to it. He has bright, green eyes. His eyes are unusually dark, yet they clearly hold mischief and mystery inside of them. He usually wears brightly colored t-shirts, dark jeans, and oddly enough; wears green high-tops. His style kind of sticks out, like his personality.

Hero Appearance: He wears all black. Nothing less, and nothing more. The only other color is the white on his high-tops. He wears black jeans and a black t-shirt. On his right hand is a glove. The fingers on the glove are opened. So it mostly covers his palms and his wrists.

Personality: He likes to smile. Ryan is one of those happy-go-lucky kids. He can seem a little dorky at times, but he has a good heart. He doesn’t have an attitude about how good he is at some things, like most other kids do. Ryan likes to crack small jokes, but often listens to the conversation(s) surrounding him.
When something bad happens, he just picks himself back up and continues on like nothing ever happened. He’s a good kid and will do anything to protect someone else. He is a fighter.

Ryan is also really smart. He doesn’t look it, and sometimes doesn’t act like it. You can only tell because of the little things. He notices weird things, and sometimes talks too fast. He can’t slow himself down once he is on a role.

Likes/Dislikes: He hates people who are stuck up because of their “awesome” abilities. It gives them a sense of arrogance. He dislikes sitting around on his butt all day. He has to be doing something, or talking to someone. He likes everything to be calm, and sometimes; menacing. He loves the challenges that some people bring to him. After all, he is smart enough to accommodate them.

Traits: When he gets nerve-racked, Ryan paces back and forth. He does it rather quickly too. He also has an annoying habit of saying things to fast. His brain basically works too fast for his mouth.

History: Ryan came from a poorer family. They didn’t have the money, the jobs, the all out private school education, or the clothes. He was taught to be simple, and that’s the way he is. Ryan had to shove his away around to get things done right. He had to work harder than the average kid, except in school. His street smarts were terrible. Ryan had to learn his way through his own physical problems. This was because no one in his family really cared all that much for him. It was annoying, at least it was in his opinion. It always seemed to be that he had to work harder than everyone else. He eventually found that it wasn’t true at all. He is a simple kid, with a simple background.

Relationships: None at the moment.
((this is one of my favorites!!! DONT DISS HIM~))

Name: Ramona Cadence

Hero Name/Alias:

Gender: Female

Age: Sixteen

Power/Weakness: She can morph things, per say. She can transmute, some like to call it. For example, she wears a metal arm guard during battles or training, allowing herself to morph it into a large knife, or even a type of gun. Her skills are still moderate, as she doesn't like her power that much. She does take pride in it, though, and loves messing with certain people. Her weakness would be large objects. They take time to transmute, and she has to do it in parts. She also can't transmute any kind of fabric material, such as clothes. She specializes in morphing natural things, such as rocks or wood. But she's great at metal, too.

Appearance: Ramona has medium length brown hair, that falls to her shoulders. They loop in light curls, and she has bangs that tend to cover her lovely blue eyes. She's average in height, if anything she stands a little short. She's in good shape from all the sparring she does, and normally has a few cuts and bruises on her body.
Ramona prefers to wear tank tops and hoodies with shorts during the warm days, and simply switches to jeans during the winter.
Overall, Ramona is fairly average in appearance, but her personality packs a punch.

Hero Appearance: Ramona has an armored body suit, decorated with knee pads, and metal arm casings. She wears cargo boots, along with a simple eye mask. She normally pulls her hair back in pigtails, and also sports gloves. The tips have small metal plates on them, made for easy bullets when transmuted.

Personality: Known as a sarcastic yet funny person, Ramona would be a loyal friend to have. She can be known to be a little mean at times; she likes to mess with people. She's favored by few teachers, as she tends to disrupt classes and whatnot. But she does have a quiet, peaceful side. Ramona loves to draw and read, and sometimes wishes that was her only gift.

Ramona is known to get depressed at times. She feels as though her power is useless. She's used to being around superheros with unique and awesome talents, and normally they have perfected theirs. She has found her power extremely difficult to master, and even then, she can only preform a few neat tricks. Her private lessons normally end in tears or fights, and she's been told she's useless multiple times by a few of the not-so-friendly peers.

She's a very thoughtful girl, and has lots of potential, she just chooses not to use it. Often she's contemplated turning "evil". She believe that she shouldn't be forced to use their own powers to save others. She has been known to get in various debates with other students about this.

Likes/Dislikes: Ramona easily gets jealous, and doesn't like people who flaunt the fact that they have perfected their powers. Or even have cooler powers than herself. That's truly the only thing that bothers her.
She loves serenity and quiet, and because that's so rare, Ramona chooses to be loud herself. She likes scenery, and wishes she could travel, and just be normal.

Traits: Ramona can easily whip-lash insults at those who tease her, and can give a pretty good burn. She also tends to snap at people who interrupt her, or try to look at her drawings.

History: She was born in an urban setting, growing up with two older brothers. She learned a lot from them, and was instantly a gamer girl.
When she was five, her powers began to act out. She would start off with simply morphing things when upset. She never really trained, but when she was twelve she was sent to the Academy. She took lessons everyday, and she never truly progressed. She hates herself for it.
When Ramona was fourteen she tried to run away from the school, but was caught by another student. She simply got detention for three months, and that was that. She's learned to live out her last few years, and can't wait to leave. She plans to abandon her power once she leaves, as she finds it useless, and she can't work well with it.

Relationships: None, she prefers to stay secluded.

Name: Casey Mae Lynch
Hero Name: Lupus
Age: 15 Years Old
Gender: Female
Power: This is a hard one, but it shall be explained better in her history. Lupus can shift into a wolf, but she can't control when she shifts at all. It happens when she's angry, when she's happy, or when she's just... normal. In her human state, she still carries a few natural wolf traits. She can see very well in the dark, her sense of smell is amazing, she can hear extremely far away, and a few other small things. She finds the human parts nifty, but Lupus hates her wolf form. She believes she could learn to love it if she could control it.
Weakness: Being mostly a wolf rather than a human, Casey is extremely loyal to anyone she meets, and forms close ties with most people, like a wolf would. A wolf's worst fear is being alone, and Casey goes insane when left in solitude for a long amount of time. Not crazy, she just gets very nervous, and can even cry. She also hates water. Wolves aren't the best swimmers, and neither is Casey.
Appearance: Casey has shoulder-length brown hair with side-bangs. Her hair is straight and easy to tame, and she normally wears it down and plain, or in a ponytail. Her eyes are a beautiful sky-blue, the only trait that remains when she transforms in a wolf. It's the main source of identity for her, seeing as it is extremely rare for a wolf to have blue eyes, unless as a birth defect.
Casey isn't very tall, standing about 5'2, and she believes herself to be average in weight. Her nails are bitten badly, due to stress.
Hero Appearance: Casey (Or, more fitting, Lupus), normally wears cargo pants with a black tank top. She keeps her down and loose, and wears black gripping gloves. She against the flouncy show-off costumes with the capes and the tights.
Personality: Casey is a very nice girl if you get to know her, and tries to go out of her way to make some friends. She's a bit socially awkward, and she knows it. Being part wolf, she's very loyal to anyone as long as she can trust them, but sometimes that leads to her downfall, as she tends to overlook important personality traits of others. She could end up being loyal to the wrong person.
She loves to read about wolves, and ever since her... accident she's been discovering new things about them, and using them to her advantage.
Casey is also a bit cautious of complete strangers, and as long as her friends don't like someone, she doesn't like them either.
Underneath her friendly exterior, Casey has battles with herself, trying to figure out her history, and what she's going to do with it. She's had mental breakdowns before, and she's sure it will happen again. But she tries to cope with it. She runs a lot to try and clear her mind, and she enjoys reading and music.
Likes and Dislikes: Casey hates liars. One she finds out someone has lied to her, she goes into an all-out rage. She doesn't understand why people can't tell the truth like herself.
She also loves soda. But she eats normal and healthy food more often, seeing as the Academy isn't exactly a candy store. She also dislikes bad authors. Often she'll read a book about animals or something, only to find out that they have so many factual errors; she wonders if they've even done any research at all. Casey loves animals, especially dogs. She's not much of a cat person, but still likes them.
Traits: Casey can handle a gun, and is very skilled at archery. She's an expert on most animals, and on smoothies. She's also great at any video game, and can hold her own at Call of Duty.
History: Casey was born to a teen couple, and they were smart people, they knew that they couldn't provide for a child at their age. They named Casey and put her up for adoption. At the time, there was a small experimental organization going on, working on creating superheros. They weren't so much evil, they just wanted to try and make simple injections for super powers, that way no human could be left out. But the sector that adopted Casey weren't the good kind of people. They simply wanted to create better super humans, ones that could eventually be raised to fight and kill other humans in war.
Casey was to be made into a shape-shifter, so they injected wolf DNA into her. It didn't work at all, but in-between tests she was sent to gun shooting and archery lessons, also under a rigorous training schedule. After seventeen failed tests, it worked. She morphed into a large black wolf, and went into a frenzy. The smell of lab materials overwhelmed her, and she attacked most of the scientists. They sent her to the main group of scientists, because they knew she was so powerful. There she was sent on missions to kill humans with other successful man-made heroes. Later on, on one of her missions, she went into a frenzy when one of her partners left her for dead in the woods. A wolf-relocater found her, and noticed her blue eyes. He didn't freak out when she turned back into a girl, but rather knew to send her to the Academy for Heroes. This was a year ago, and she loves it at the school. She's managed her powers a little better, but still has to endure the memories of how many innocent people she'd killed.

Name: Barron Jay-Lee (goes by Jayli *pronounce: jay.lee*)

Hero Name: Shadi (pronounce: *shade.ee*)

Age: 14

Gender: female

Power: She can control shadows. Like she can't create them, just bend them. She can wrap them around stuff and make the stuff move. Pretty much she gives the shadows a physical form, like instead of a trick of the light she makes them something solid, like your hand.

Weakness: She's terrified of wide open spaces. Well, at least when the sun's up. Your perfect sunny day picnic out on the grass surround by nothing but grass? Her worst nightmare. She can't stand it she finds herself in the fettle position staring at he shadow. she's good at night though.

Appearance: Jayli has long black wavy hair, no bangs. Her skin is pale, almost snow white. Her left eye is violet (yes, real eye color look it up.), the other emerald green. She's tall at about 5'9 and about 110 lbs. Her hands are scarred. No one knows why and she won't tell. She has long legs due to a lot of running. her eyes are small, ALMOST predatory, but not quite. She has the senses of a hunter.

Hero appearance: Shadi wears black, well fitting leggings with a black leather spaghetti strap dress, all black belt at the pant line (she doesn't want her skirt coming up when she's on a mission), black leather gloves, and black leather boots. She's a big fan of the black leather, it makes her feel like she blends anywhere.

Personality: She prefers to stay in the shadows. She goes out of her way to blend in and not be noticed. She's very friendly and a great friend. She's very quiet. Jayli always seems to be slightly zoned out. She's had extra practice controlling her powers. Rumor has it she started working on honing her powers even before she got there. she hasn't confirmed it or denied it.

Likes and dislikes: Here it is. She's slightly claustrophobic, not to a point where it's weakness though. Hates spiders. Absolutely detests them. Truth be told, she's put a hole straight through a wall to kill one once. Beans makes Jayli sick as a dog. Can't stand 'em. Jayli doesn't like people who won't. Shut. Up. She likes duct tape, especially around people like I just described. She likes books, horror movies, and ghost stories. Slumber parties are the only kind of party she likes. She loves the dark and the night. Loves the woods. That's pretty much it. Oh, she loves potato soup, well, potatoes in general really.

Traits: She's a natural born hunter and survivor. She's an expert on on wood life and first aid. Calling for help? Not her thing. Oh and she has as photographic memory.

History: Was abandoned in the woods when she was 12 when her parents discovered her powers. Being OBSESSIVELY religious, they took her to be devil's spawn and didn't want anything to do with her. Surprisingly enough she was able to learn quickly and survive in the woods. She lived off of what she could find, make, and kill. Since she had to make her own weapons her hands became scarred. Her powers helped her not only live, but thrive in the woods.

Though she could talk, she had a fear of people. The only people she could remember were her parents. She remembered she had loved and depended on them and that they had abandoned her. She carried that fear for her first year at the NGA.

While in the woods she had adopted a pet fox she named Lemur. Don't ask why. The fox died a year before she went to the academy. They founded her and managed to pick her up when she was 13. As you probably guessed, she had practiced honing her abilities so she could survive in the woods. She's never told anyone her back story and never will. If thry ever find out it'll be in her obituary.

Relationships: none, as i said before tries to stay out of the spotlight.

Other: Has had friends in the past (at the school) who eventually left her for something else. (ex: a boy/girl they liked, popularity, change, etc.)

message 29: by Lucy (last edited Jul 25, 2012 01:50PM) (new)

Lucy (vintagequeen) Name: Haven Odette

Hero Name/Alias: 'Fate' is her Hero name as such, as she can alter the future she sees, for example, she touches someone who was going to get hit by a car and die, she can postpone him/ her walking on the street long enough that they don't get hit by the car hat was going to kill them.

Age: She is 17 years old.

Gender: She is of Female gender.

Power: When she touches, or comes in contact with, someone, she has foresees the future (and their deaths). They constantly consume her, and she is most of the time depressed and separate from the world, and for that, has no friends.

Weakness: Haven can't control what she sees and has to be aware at all times. She cannot let her guard down, which drains her dearly. She knows people will be looking for her, which is why she tries to keep a low profile. When and if she alters the future, bad things happen, as she is changing fate (which is where her hero name comes in), things much worse than she could comprehend. It causes her terrible pain when changes things, like a migraine only much worse.

Appearance: Thin build, small, about 5'4'', long black hair, bright green eyes, pale complexion, pretty smile, and wears glasses. She is a small build girl and very thin, with sharp and defined features. She has big emerald eyes that shine with pain and longing. Haven's hair is black as a ravens, and is plaited down to her waist most of the time.
http://images2.fanpop.com/image/photo...

Hero appearance: For her hero appearance, Haven dresses in black leggings and a black tank top, persistent in keeping a low profile and identity, hoping not to raise attention of others. She wears a mask that covers half her face, and is black also.

Personality: Haven is often closed off and unsociable. She longs to have friends, but knows it is impossible to share her secret with someone, as most will try to take advantage of her. She has great difficulty trusting people. She is very observant and is suspicious of everyone.

Likes/Dislikes: Haven dislikes crowded places, as it causes her great grief and is often hard not to come in contact with someone. She hates enclosed areas as it reminds her too much of her past. She loves to read, is a major bookworm, so therefore is very smart (in a way, as she has never been to school, since her family couldn't afford to).

Traits: She is very skilled at telling when people lie. She is very sly and sneaky - skilled at being invisible and silent. She spies on others, secretly wishing and longing for a life that was easy and normal.

History: Haven started having the 'visions' whenever she came in contact with someone when she was 14. She didn't know what it was then. When she was 16, her parents found out and thought she was cursed by the devil, and sent her away, wanting nothing to do with a daughter tainted by 'evil'. She had been on her own for 1 years, closed off to the world, living in a forest, when Next Gen found her. She has enrolled in hopes of controlling what she sees and how to go about it.

▕ ▋ ♛ ▍Marisa (vergeofinsanity) Name: Kokoro "Koko" Alifair
Hero Name/Alias: The incarnation of the Scarlet Devil

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Power: She can cause minor hallucinations to anyone. She can also manipulate these hallucinations sometime manipulating the victims themselves.

Weakness: She has an insane side and has to take a special "potion" to keep it in control. Only problem is if she goes even one day without this potion she turns into a bloodthirsty psychopath and her powers are nullified until she actually gets her potion (this can last for days even months depending on how quickly she can get the potion back into her system.)

Appearence: Kokoro is tall and thin with a well defined figure. Her skin is slightly tanned and pretty much flawless. She has bright blue eyes framed by long dark lashes that glow even brighter when she uses her powers and turn bright red when she forgets to take her potion. Her hair is dark blonde and falls just past her shoulders in waves. Her nose is slightly long but it's not too long. Kokoro has normal sized pale pink lips and shining white teeth. She has smallish feet but she still manages to trip over them quite a bit. Her hands are smallish with nimble fingers. This makes fixing things easy. And that comes in handy for a girl as klutzy as Kokoro.
Dressing Style: Kokoro typically wears a tight black top with the sleeves torn off and pulled down to her forearm with short black pleated skirt. She wears thin black knee-highs that have been ripped to shreds and dark red-brown buckled shoes. She wears a white cloak with protective spells written on it (she's superstitious) but it has been torn up and it looks similar to a cloak made of old newspapers. The cloak and the design never changes but the colors vary on her outfits anywhere from dark red to dark brown to dark grey. The reason for this is that she makes her own clothes and she only has the patterns for one outfit. The tearing is mostly because she has a tendency to fall dow and rip her clothing. That and he thinks it looks cool.
Hero appearance: She doesn't really have one but her power allows her to make people see her how ever she wants to be seen. She doesn't use her power much except to make herself seem to vanish during awkward situations.

Personality: Kokoro is a sweet girl with a dark and insane past. Most of the time she is cheerful and happy. But only when's she's protected by her potion (she doesn't like the term medication). She's a bit of a klutz and forgets things quite often. One of those things is her potion. If she doesn't take it she goes insane. Her eyes turn red and she becomes a bloodthirsty psychopath. During these phases she is mean and surprisingly flirty. Which is strange for such a sweet and shy girl. This topic is very sketchy as she has a multiple personality disorder.

Likes/Dislikes: Kokoro likes keeping to herself and acting normal. She very much hates conflict and talking to boys. But when she goes insane everything is different. When her eyes are red she loves and practically craves blood or at least a good battle and she also enjoys flirting. Both sides agree on a few things like Linkin Park is amazing and the color pink is repulsive.

Traits: Kokoro is a klutz and is prone to forgetting her potion. As a result she is prone to insanity. She also has a tendency to speak Japanese when she goes insane.

History: Kokoro spent her childhood in L.A. but she attend high school in New York after her father was relocated. She lived on her own and never knew about her power but when it was discovered she was never the same. She speculates that time among actors was the cause of her abilities but it is most likely that it was inherited. She and her friends decided it would be fun to use her power to cause problems. Kokoro felt bad about this but she didn't say anything until they accidentally killed a man. Then her friends decided to throw her in a ditch to rot. Down there she grew resentful and insane. She wanted blood. The blood of her traitorous friends. She dug her way out ripping her clothes in the process. She found out her friends had been put on death row for killing the man and supposed Koko as well. She went to the police asking to see her friends but considering her mental state they refused to let her see them and suggested she get help. She didn't like this idea so she killed one of the officers and drank his blood. This somehow gave her a brief return to sanity. She was sane long enough to find a temporary cure for her insanity. The she was recruited by next-gen Academy. And she's just arrived with a bag full of herbs.

Relationships: None yet...

Other: When she was younger she always wanted to speak a foreign language so she took Japanese because she thought it would be fun. She rarely uses the language though. And when her insane side does it is never more than a few words.

Cloudy Storms (cloudstrife) | 32 comments Name: Drake Igniais (Ig-nee-ias)
Hero Name/Alias: Ignis

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Power: Alteration: Teleportation
While teleportation seems like a helpful ability, it has it's drawbacks. Both major and minor. To be able to teleport, he needs to know the area well. If he teleports too often, his heart may fail from over-exhausting himself.
For Drake, he has varied forms of teleportation.
1) Flash Teleportation: Like the name, he teleports in a speedy flash, and wherever he teleports, his fatigue level is equal to someone who has sprinted the same distance as how far Drake has teleported. Best used in dicey situations when distance isn't crucial, but speed is.
2) Normal Teleportation: This takes a few seconds to charge, thus ideal for surprising enemies or just playing pranks. The fatigue level is equal to jogging the distance Drake has covered using teleportation.
3)Slow Teleportation: Very slow to charge, taking over 20 seconds or more to fully charge, it's only benefit is that it doesn't cause much fatigue other than sweat. Fatigue is equal to walking the distance Drake has covered by teleportation.

Weakness: Personal attachments. Mostly feelings and cherished people. Hold one by a rope with flames on the bottom, he's usually already on his knees in despair.

Appearence: EZIOOOOOO

With wavy hair that has a cinnamon tint on it when the sun's rays hits it, dark brown eyes that always have a welcome sign hanging over it, Drake is always a welcoming guy.
Hero appearence: YAY
((Sorry if it too is too.... Uh, reference-y.))
Personality: Stubborn, he won't leave training until he's got it right. It takes a whole crew of medical team members, plus sedatives, to let him get some rest. He's cool in school, but fiery and commanding in the field.
Even though his level of experience isn't a whole lot, he takes charge if all else is not working. Though he might be a natural leader at times, he doesn't like to hold everyone's life on his shoulders and prefers to take orders rather than give them.

Likes/Dislikes: Likes: Sunshine, light, acrobatics, and water. Dislikes: Darkness.

Traits: He has a tendency to swish his hair when annoyed, or rub his face when tired.

History: Born to a family of a lawyer and a doctor, you'd think he'd had it set for his life. However, it all went wrong when he was on the verge to be beaten to a pulp on playground at around 11 years old, and he wished he was home. Pop, there he was, home. Feeling exhausted and dizzy. He was sent to the hospital, and nearly died of exhaustion. (The school was a few miles away) He was then offered a scholarship to the Academy, and naturally, the family accepted the offer. He has lived with the Academy since.
((If it's short, sorry. I'm a wee bit tired.))

Relationships: Anita Igniais- Mother
Daniel Igniais- Father

Other: His preferred weapon is a sword. Fit for agility rather than brute force, this requires skill rather than flailing a sword wildly.

Mintcat Name: Destiny Sealock

Age: 14

Gender: Female

Power: Destiny has the power to make whatever she writes down (manually) come true either right away, in the near future, or a long time later. Writing on any surface will come true, even if it's just water on a mirror or graffiti on the wall.

Weakness: Once the writing has disappeared, or is unable to be seen again, the future will revert back to normal. For example, water-writing on the mirror will eventually evaporate, and graffiti on the wall will be covered by more graffiti one time or another. Also, whatever she writes cannot defy logic, and cannot be just a simple sentence. This means that she cannot change the future quickly, and it would take some time to write the paragraph, slowing her down.

Appearence: http://www.google.com.hk/imgres?hl=en...
Destiny has long wavy black hair, and dark brown eyes. She has a slight fringe covering her eyebrows. She dresses in a casual style of her liking.
Hero Appearance: Destiny hasn't decided what her hero appearance should be like yet, but will be considering this problem soon.

Personality: Destiny is compassionate and trusting towards others, though she always seems to be keeping a few secrets. She is intellectual and detailed, mostly noticing things that others may not. Willing to make friends, she weirdly finds herself as a loner, as she is always "different" from everyone else.

Likes/Dislikes: Destiny likes to get up early in the morning, mystery/murder stories, and to be alone. She dislikes forgetting things and using text talk.

Traits: Destiny has a tendency to write while she's walking, usually causing her to bump into a lot of things: walls, strangers, bookshelves etc.

History: At a young age, Destiny started to develop a love for writing, unknowing that whatever she writes comes true. In the beginning, she didn't realize weird that just happen relate to what she had written. She discovered her power after writing a story about a girl called Annie involved in a car crash. The very next day, there was breaking news about the exact incident. Afterwards, she was reluctant to write stories for her English lessons, and ended up with a low grade for that subject. Even though she had a power, she still was slightly popular, though her English teacher always wants her to do better and have more enthusiasm to writing. She stayed silent about her power until NextGen found and enrolled her.

Relationships: Open

Other: Usually carries a notebook and pen around to write on that instead of walls, mirrors etc.

Abigail (abi_cook) Name: rachel Mor

Hero Name/Alias: Raven she is also known as Rae, Rae-Rae, The Gem, Sunshine, Henchy, raven clone 325, cadmas clone 91325, Dear daughter, Little girl, Mistress of Magic

Age: 14

Gender: female

Power: raven's powees are Astral projection, Demon transformation, Levitation, Telekinesis, Teleportation, Above-average physical condition, Experienced hand-to-hand combatant, Multilingualism, Empathy, Empathic healing, Stopping time

Weakness: Raven's main weakness is letting go of her emotions, especially rage. Terra learned it from Beast Boy and took advantage of it in Aftershock - Part 1 to using it to finish her off. Even though her rage seems powerful, it could potentially corrupt her, leaving her very vulnerable to attacks with more power than her own. It also seems she can keep perfect control of her powers while exhibiting her emotions, as seen in Spellbound. Raven is radiant with happiness and love, yet she is still able to control her powers with ease. If Raven suppresses her fear, she is unable to connect with her powers until she admits she is truly afraid. Her ultimate weakness is her anger. Other emotions aren't as earth trembling as Raven's temper. Her anger is in the form of Trigon inside her mirror in Nevermore, then after defeated (to a point) the anger turns to another one of her, with her father's eyes and a red cloak. Anger is what changes her from her regular self to her demonic side practically every time. Another weakness is her dependence on her spell, Azarath Metrion Zinthos. If a gag is placed over her mouth, she cannot complete her spell and she cannot connect with her powers until the gag is removed.

Appearence: description Raven's appearance is seen as dark and mysterious. Her superhero outfit is mostly made up of her favorite color, dark blue/indigo. She usually wears a blue cloak (and matching blue ruffled ankle-boots with black/gray soles).

Hero appearence: [image error]

Personality: Raven reading a book Raven is one of the most mysterious characters throughout the series. She is quiet, emotionless, studious, and sarcastic. She can always come up with a witty remark, specifically in reply to most of Teen Titans' antics and attempts at humor. Her appearance and attitude appears to be that of a typical modern goth female. However, as much as she may seem slightly distant and anti-social, producer Sam Register describes her as a "...dark character, but a character everyone can relate to. She's a recluse and sort of to herself. We thought that would be a good dynamic with the rest of the team. She does have a dark background in the comic." Robin also said that she is "the most hopeful person he has ever known." Raven scaring Gizmo Raven is often portrayed as the most mature member of the group, often giving her own advice to the others about various subjects, and generally staying cool and calm, even in desperate situations. She is, however, also the most emotionally-restrained of the Titans, appearing secretive and distant; she initially does not allow any of her fellow Titans into her room and spends most of her time by herself, usually meditating or reading one of her numerous books. Even though she is serious and cautious about her emotions, just like she was trying to say to Doctor Light saying "don't come even closer." The reason for her emotional restraint is due to the adverse effects her emotions have on her powers. If her emotions become out of control, her powers can become erratic and spontaneous, becoming active without her will. In the course of the series, however, she gradually, if only slightly, seems to warm up to her teammates. As shown through her quick suspicion of Terra, it is difficult for Raven to build trust for anyone, and even more difficult to truly forgive if that trust was to be broken.

Likes/Dislikes:she likes Depressing cafes, Herbal tea, Horror movies, Meditating, Reading, Creepy places, Chess, Keeping her emotions down. she dislikes Anyone who goes into her bedroom, Beast Boy's jokes, Loosening up
in general, Chickens (allergy), Trigon, Slade

Traits: she meditates and reads alot.

History: She was created by cadmas when the original raven was dieing but was not awoken until after the original raven's funaral. She was not told this until 5 days later and then she ran and became the new raven. She is the same as the original raven in every way.

Relationships: no one yet she just joined

Please don't remake actual super heros as your own character. This is an Original Character RP. Additionally, blatant plagiarism isn't a respectable behavior.

Jess | 8 comments Name: Analie Evans.
Hero Name/Alias: Inkweaver.

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Power: Analie can make anything and everything she draws come to life, within reason. It has to be something that has existed at the present time or in the past.

Weakness: She cannot hold it for more than ten minutes and has to hold on to the object she drew it on to keep it maintained. She is vulnerable to attacks while the drawings are out due to immense concentration.

Appearance: Short, layered black hair that comes down her neck and blue eyes. Wears dark jeans and bright colored t-shirts with woven bands on her wrists and knee high converse. She's short and small for her age, and very agile. She carries a forest green messenger bag that holds her sketchbooks, drawing utensils, and extra snacks.

Superhero Costume: A black shirt with long sleeves that tighten at her elbow and blossom out below them. She wears a dark black skirt with blue and white ruffles for easy kicking and combat boots on her feet.

Personality: Despite her past, Analie is positive and very upbeat. When in pain, she doesn't want to let anyone worry about her. She looks at the bright side every time and doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. When meeting a gloomy person, she feels that it is her responsibility to cheer them up. Analie often gets hot-headed to people who insult her friends and is willing to fight anyone who has intent to kill. Very stubborn when it comes to anything, but also open and willing to share ideas/food

Likes/Dislikes: Because of a past experience, she fears the dark and feels claustrophobic inside it. Being up high doesn't suit to her tastes as well. She loves food and is sometimes seen with something to munch on in her free time.

Traits: In concentration, Analie tends to stick the tip of her tongue out of her mouth. She pulls at her earlobe when she's in deep thought and always has her hands moving. She doesn't have a sense of direction and always gets lost.

History: Her parents died when she was 2, leading her to be put in a foster home that wasn't the best place for a child. She was often shut up inside dark, enclosed spaces, which manifested to her fear of the dark. Once she gathered up the courage to run away, she escaped at 11 and lived on the streets until she turned 12. When her powers began peeking through, at 15, her new family sent her to the Academy.

Relationships: She just arrived, so she hasn't made any friends yet. (I guess I add this in once I start?)

TBH, I don't really care about the name thing. You copy and pasted large chunks of wiki entries about Raven into a character. You made her history so that she's Raven in every other way but technically being Raven. She is still not approved. I'd advise remaking a new character, as this one will almost assuredly not be approved.

I don't see how that has anything to do with it, but alright. My stance doesn't change. If you read the rules, they make it perfectly clear that characters can't have any connection to existing superheroes.

Jo (Penname8) | 107 comments
Full Name and Title The Honourable Lord Gregory Fitzwilliam
Penname Greg Williams
Alias Crusader

Age Eighteen
Date of birth- April 23, 1336

Gender Male
Orientation- Straight

Power Greg has the ability to travel at inmensely quick speed, which enables him not to move forward in space, but in time. His body remains the same when he travels, and he is able to bring others alongside.

Weakness Although he can travel to the past, it is extremely excrutianting and taxing for him; he needs to open a wormhole, subdue it and actually go through (his body adapts through the wormhole) and close it. He has done it four times, the last causing him to go into a coma.

Appearance

Personality Greg is very ambitious. He has traveled through time and made an outstanding compendium about the ages he has been through, which are many. He is charming, gentle and chivalrous with women (as was expected in his day). However, he is somewhat negligent with people--he's used to being indepent and free through his various experiences. He knows how to speak many languages (only French, English and Latin fluently--Spanish and Dutch proficiently), and has adapted successfully to technology. He is still somewhat clumsy with slang. He still has a bit of superstition from his past, and is hesitant towards some powers that seemed to far-fetched for it. He is Catholic, goes to church every Sunday.

History Greg was the eldest son of Gerald Fitzwilliam, Duke of Norfolk in 1362. After a very pompous (or as close as you could get in the Middle Ages) education, Gregory at 12 was forced by his family to get engaged to a Countess' daughter, Constance. Gregory refused to follow orders in his violent household. He finally ran away six months later, and traveled with his rogue older cousin Jeremiah and Constance. He lived a crazy runaway life for two more months until two events rattled his security. One was the discovery of his powers, as he very subtly advanced a few minutes in time and discovered his cousin did too. The other was the Black Death, that put an end to his hitchiker life as Constance died from the sickness. Jeremiah nearly died, and told him to go into the future to avoid the Death. For his own security he decided to go forward ten years in time to find out when the plague would end. He was too unexperienced with his powers, resulting in going forward 220 years in time.

Greg was horrified with his own mistake, and tried to go back several times unsuccessfully. In 1566, much had changed, yet Greg adapted to the era as he became a playwright's assistant, later kicked out as he traveled through both France and Spain on his own, meeting several figures of importance. He formed a dream of tracking, capturing and recording his time-traveling experiences. He decided to settle in the Netherlands, yet forced to travel through time again at the Eighty Year's War, and decided to take another great leap.

He arrived in October 1872 when he was 14 years old and found his cousin's descendants in England, who had reclaimed the duchy and who were glad to take him in. Jeremiah's gift had been passed down rarely, but it was acknowledged by his family that it would reappear. Lieutenant Robert Springwell took Greg into his family, and they traveled to his bungalows in India for a while. However, Robert's family was killed by thieves and Greg went on the run again. He went twenty years forward to 1892, when he took a ship to Spain, traveled with gypsies for a while. Then he took another ship towards Canada, where he was in piece to become a journalist. He tested his abilities to go back again in time, only to go back a few minutes. He then accepted his gift and went a few years forward, then left to Boston.

1915 proved an exceptionally hard year for 16-year-old Greg, who was persuaded to enlist by he family he was boarding with in Boston. Many horrors he endured through the second battle of Ypres. When he was about to die he used all his strenght to appear in 1920. He was aided and helped by a nice couple. He then took a chance going to Paris, where he worked as a writer's asisstant again. He turned seventeen, with hopes of establishing there. However, he was suspected of stealing some money a year later. He then went to 1945, where again he enlisted in France's army, and he was victorious. He saw the appearance of the nuclear bomb, and decided to go forward several years. He lived the Cuban missile crisis for a few months, then left towards 2010. He was found by the administration who had tracked his powers through the eras and sent him to NGA. Greg was not comfortable the first days, but then he relaxed.

Relationships
*Constanza of Suffolk: Daughter of the Earl of Suffolk, engaged by her parents to Greg and was nearly forced to marry him until she ran away with him a month later. Died from the Black Death in 1348.
*Jeremiah Fitzwilliam: Older cousin to Greg, with whom he ran away from Norfolk. He was a time-traveler as well, only decided to hide his powers after a few mishaps. Nearly died from the Black Death, later married and his descendants reclamined the county of Norfolk.

Jo (Penname8) | 107 comments
Name: Eveline "Eve" Charlotte Kristofferson
Alias Echo

Age: 17

Power/Weakness: She can create ghostly duplicates of herself. These duplicates mimic her every movement and are at her mercy. She can make them appearas far as a few miles; any farther it drains her energy. They can be seen by everyone (though they are transparent), and these duplicates may appear in a dream, which enables her to be in the Dreamzone as she pleases. However, to be able to send her duplicates during a dream she must also be asleep too.Sometimes these copies appear unconsciously around her, especially when she is very concentrated. She can create up to six; any more they drain her energy.

Personality and History: Eveline's real name was Evangeline, to be shortened up in the years to come to Eveline. Eveline Kistrofferson was born in New Zealand as an only child. Her early childhood was never normal, in a way. She has always had a certain talent towards gymnastics and skating, and her ecstatic father, who was an Olympic coach, agreed to help her get to the Olympic when she was old enough to enter. Thus, she dropped out of school and her parents hired a tutor to teach her as she went through harsh training. By the time she was twelve, she had been winner of several medals and trophies for various competitions all over the world, most from her own country. She knew ballet, gymnastics, figure skating of all kinds. She was almost at the pinnacle of her career when she was fifteen, because she was about to enter the Olympics.

It was when she was ten that she started to use her powers. She noticed that sometimes when she trained, there were identical images of her around her. Vy eleven she could senf them all around her house to try to fool people, although she noticed they were sort of phantom, so people weren't ricked. Her parents noticed, although they didn't care much; they just hoped it wouldn't affect her training. They accepted it and never talked about it.

But by 15 she was eager to enter society more, and her parents were extremely strict with even going out of the house. New Zealand was not as peaceful as it looked. And right they were, because slowly Eveline learned how New Zealand was a source country for human trafficking, and even though New Zealanders weren't the victims, if anyone closed in the slavers they were soon snuffed out. And in one wild party, she met a real-life victim. She inmediately called the police to help the victim, and closely after the traffickers marked her as a target.
But these guys were smart. They knew Eveline was a very potential specimen--she could be shipped off as a prostitute, or maybe held for ransom. But when one of the workers went to see her while she trained in a public rink, he actually saw a glimpse of her duplicates, and the traffickers were overjoyed. They knew that people with powers could be sold off to very succesful circuses or millionaires for more than the average 90$.
She was promptly kidnapped in a party and sent to a brothel, where she temporarily awaited her destiny. Then she was sent by plane to an unknown Asiatic destination, but the pilot was bribed to take her to Next Gen

Eveline has always regretted her desicion to ignore her parents and bitterly mourned her freedom as she realized she was no longer the same, although she still aspires to become and Olympic athlete. However, she is very thankful that she was not raped at the brothel, and that the pilot left her at Haven Home, where she enjoys free life once again. Eveline is very positive in that sense, because she is very thankful she wasn't harmed and enjoys life in a whole new persepective.

Appearance:

.She has shoulder-lenght brown hair in very slight curls, often curling it at the neck. It's always tied up when she's practicing. She has a sympathetic look on her face when you meet her. She's tall for her age (5'9") and she had that slim elegant look. Her clear blue eyes seem milky and distant at first.

Other: She's been a month at NG, where she continues to practice gymnastics and figure skating. She is waiting until she has the means necessary to send the traffickers to jail without any revenge on her.

Realtionships:
*Lucia: She was a Brazilian refugee who fell into the hands of the same mafia that kidnapped Eve. Lucia was a polygot. Since Eve arrived in NGA, she is desperate for news about her friend.

Name Holly Maud Marshall Faulkner
Aliases Marshall, Maud
Superhero name Ironhawk

Age Seventeen
Date of birth- March 1st

Gender Female
Orientation- Straight

Power Technopathy. She has the ability to control engines, machines and understand the complicated codes that integrate them.

Weakness Sadly, her power is extremely weak and has only been shown through a few technical abilities. She can make it stronger if she concentrates, though. She can barely use it if she's stressed.

Well...she's insane. Mainly unpredictable. She refuses to be controlled by anyone, she's indepnedent and very, very reckless. She's proved to be allergic to many foods, too.

Appearance

Did someone say insanity?

Personality Marshall is unpredictable. Childish most times. She's been proved to be disorganized schizophrenic, though we certainly don't know if she's that great of an actress. But she is certainly uncannily weird. She is reckless, childish, annoying but certainly not wholly unsympathetic. She is fond of playing pranks and setting things on fire, one of the things that attracted too much attention to her. She is extremely clever and smart, though it is hard to see under that seemingly asinine simper. She is good at math and languages, having learned three of them so far extremely fluently. She also has an extreme passion for flying planes, which she has rarely done but yearns to soon.

On the subject of her insanity, she is characterized for having hallucinations, memory loss and schizotypal tendencies such as slight belief on the supernatural.

History Surprisingly, the reason for her arrival at Haven was not due to her power, which she was extremely skilled at hiding.
Marshall lived a life of an "army brat" with her father from the Air Force while her mother died from a heart attack. They lived for a while in Napa, California, then as his job demanded more leaving, she was sent to her slightly unstable grandmother, Emily Faulkner; once a brilliant actress gone senile. From her Marshall learned several odd traits and bits.

She traveled with here father to many places, where she finally was caughting burning a car and laughing while she did so, therefore being examinated at fifteen and sent to a psychiatric facility. She stayed there for many months, sometimes escaping victouriously and sometimes staying because "they were looking for her." What no one knew was that Marshall was visited by the FBI, who she fought off triumphantly by hitting them with the nearby car, and celebrated by burning the car. She was let out at sixteen, when she earned her pilot's license. Yet the FBI caught her and sent her to the psych ward again on the excuse that she was still insane. Finally, when she was nearly sent for experimentation, she ran away on a chopper to a certain sake haven, which she has mixed feelings for. She hitched a ride with a time traveler, and ended up in Next Gen.

Relationships Open.

Um, Jo? This is my inner psychologist being nitpicky, but paranoid schizophrenics don't hallucinate. It's actual one of the required needs--if Holly hallucinates, she's not a paranoid schizophrenic. If anything, she seems to me to have a very minor case of disorganized schizophrenia, the symptoms of which include hallucinations, delusions, bizarre behavior, and hindered psychological development (childishness.)

Hope Well, changing the type of schizophrenia she has wouldn't do anything to the character, would it?
