The Cats’ Mother I've just finished Nemesis and loved it, but am confused. Without wanting to spoil anything for those who've not read it yet, can someone explain who the copycat was? Did I miss something in all the detail or did we just not find out?

Manugw The plot was abused, made too twisted and convoluted, anyone could be at the authors wish

Ann Winifred Ha! I was too embarrassed to ask?

Explanation

Jenna I think it was the heroin dealer (the Knave) that Tom Waaler shot. Because he said somethings about giving him Rophynol which at the beginning of the book the cops mentioned sometimes robbers take drugs to enhance latent qualities. Also because Waaler mentioned something about not worrying about money thanks to the Knave

Carl I think you're right. Is this just so Waaler could get money though? What reason did Waaler require this?

Atl Read The Devil's Star to see what Waaler says he did with the money. Anyway, money for money's sake is always a motive.

Could someone tell me what he did? Because I`ve read The Devil's Star before Nemesis and I don`t want to read it over again just to find out what Tom did with money.

The Devil's Star is excellent - and yes, it wraps up quite a few things from the previous 2 books.

I also was confused. This was my fourth book by Nesbo, and the weakest of the four.

Agree, it was not necessary for there to be such a convoluted plot.

Gill, that's great to hear because I have "Devil's Star" here at home on my "to read" list. I'm reading them in the order in which they were original written by Nesbo, not by when the translations appeared in English.

Greg Of Redbreast, Bat, Cockroach, and Nemesis, I liked Redbreast best, Nemesis the least. But I'm going to keep reading Nesbo. I KNOW one of his novels is going to be great, he has the talent to slam one out of the ballpark.

Jacco VanGolde indeed it is not clearly stated who is committing the other robberies.
From chapter 11 (illusion) you can conclude that it is Alf (he thinks of a robbery as well as Anna, a very thin link between two storylines) but from chapter 20 (landing) I don't find that so clear at all.
