Can taking away heat be counted as heating, in some sense of the word? Like subtraction is really adding a negative number?

message 111: by Vish (new)

Vish L (vertimus) Totally unrelated. Its cooling. Heating is to give heat to a body, to transfer energy to. Not from.

Well worth the shot.

Totally going out on a limb, there. I thought it might be some sort of trick question, where the answer is something like "ALL liquids, silly! You can remove heat from something as well!"

message 113: by Vish (new)

Vish L (vertimus) Removing heat is not heating, silly :D

But that's where the 'trick' in 'trick question' comes in! I was so confused! :D
