Hi all, I'm new to this so please forgive... I went looking for tags and from what I can tell, Amazon has removed this feature? When I click on the links above, I don't see tags or likes as an option on Amazon. What am I missing?

Amazon.ca still has the "like" button.. (for any canadians out there) Also, clicking on the YES or NO button next to a review helps the book too... Any activity on the page helps. We could all just click each other's YES buttons... I've already started on the links before this... Here's mine: http://www.amazon.com/The-Call-Deep-e...

Hey, just wondering if anyone's noticed a sudden drop in sales on Amazon? I've been selling a certain number of books consistently every day for the past few months (it has even gone up a bit) The last 3 days, I've only sold 2 books! Seems weird, right? (I published it in April) Anyone have any insight? (Maybe it's a total coincidence and I'm fretting for nothing)
Tracy, whenever you wonder if others are experiencing a similar swing in sales to you, you can check your author rank in Author Central. If your rank is staying the same, then others are experiencing the same swing. If your rank improves, then you are selling more than others, proportionately speaking. Similarly, if your rank worsens, then you are selling less than others, proportionately speaking. More or less. Amazon's ranking algorithm is not transparent.
Hey guys! If you're looking for guaranteed sales to boost your ranking, check out www.authortrade.comfree for the first week!
I believe number one factor in succeeding in book writing is increasing your exposure. It's a must to submit your book on sites listed on Bookpraiser.com
Check it out and tell me what you believe
Love this idea of tagging, I started doing that along with submitting my books at sites listed at Bookpraiser.comGreat promotion that works and for free
I can't find the tag feature on Amazon anymore. I suspected they got rid of it because of forums like this. I do think that you get more visibility if you just visit the page. You can still click "yes" on the five star reviews. If you do that for me, I will go to your book and do the same. I just released this novel:http://www.amazon.com/Enlightened-One...
Hey Lacey and Tracy , I actually went to each of your books' pages and clicked Yes on the five star reviews. I would love it if you "liked" my author page here: http://www.amazon.com/Michael-Stephen... and if you clicked "Yes" on my five star review here: http://www.amazon.com/Negotiation-Wou... .
Hi Micheal. It doesn't look like anyone clicked yes on my five star reviews. Could you double check. I will now return the favor.
okay Micheal. I clicked on all the books and clicked yes on one five star review. My like icon disappeared a long time ago. I didn't know you could still like pages. However, I did go to the book sites which should bring more visibility.
Oh and you can still tag things also, it is just more hidden I guess than what it used to be. http://www.amazon.com/gp/tagging/clou... that is the site where all the tags are still kept. You can bookmark it. What you have to do is for one, you must have a commenter/reviewer profile and name. Then you can click on a tag and it will take you to the page for that tag. Next, you go down to where it will ask you if you want to tag something and you (if already signed in) can search the website for anything you want to tag in that particular group. For example. My novel, A Negotiation of Wounds should be tagged Erotica, Suspense, Alpha Male, Thriller. So, you as a reviewer could go to the popular tags page, look up those tags and click a new tab for each of them. Then search for my book in the Kindle store at the bottom of the page where there is a tagging search bar and tag it, along with other things that fit that description. Then actually go and view the page of the book for the highest visibility.
Thanks Lacey. Oh and come join my group https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/... where we talk about popular TV shows compared with books. I hope that's OK with the moderators of this group as I don't know if I can mention another group here. If not, that is fine if they delete it and I am sorry.
Lacey and Michael,Since you seem to be the newest authors to post, I will connect with you. Here is the link to my books on Amazon. I just gave you a five star, Lacey. I hope you can do the same. Thanks in advance for your time!
Michael - I don't see the 5 star option for yours - only the option to review the book. Do you have a link so I can rate yours without a review? I must be clicking on something incorrectly.
Thanks,
Tricia

Hey, Tricia. Actually, I don't see the star rating either. I only see it every once in a while really so I wouldn't know how to pull it up. But I would still like it if you went clicked on the pages of all of my books and went to my author page and "liked" it. I clicked on all of your five star reviews and said they were helpful and tagged your books as mysteries and liked your author page. I also clicked the post a review button and clicked a star rating for it but didn't leave a comment. I don't know if that will help or not.
Thanks, Michael! I clicked on all of your pages, liked your author page, and liked the reviews. I didn't think about posting a review without writing one… I'll try that too. Good luck!

Hi Tricia,I clicked you links and left you a five star rating and clicked "yes" to all five star reviews. I don't know what the rating does since it doesn't show on the page unless I review the book. Also, it isn't showing on my page that people have clicked "yes" on the five star reviews but maybe it is different on my computer. Sorry for the delay. ;)

Hey everyone!I'd really appreciate it if you'll tag my ebook (there are tags, you should only "agree" with them):

Hello fellow authors and readers. My first book is about strength training, nutrition and building a functional mind body connection. Most of the information available in the realm of fitness is conflicting and full of non efficient methods, so I've decided to bring the essence out. I believe the book has the best info that has been discovered and proven to work for the past decades in training and nutrition. The reality is that the things you must know on how to get strong, eat well and create the strong link between mind and body are not that much. I will really appreciate reviews, tags, buys, every support I can get. I really believe this book can help people. http://www.amazon.com/Ironbound-Stren...
First off, I think its great to see an 8 year old thread still widely popular. As for the topic itself, is this about tagging one's own book with the tag feature on Amazon? I don't really understand how it works and this is even after having read the provided link as of how it does.
I know there's a tagging section on Amazon where an author can enter a certain amount of tags for their book but I don't get how anyone else would be able to "tag" a book if it's not theres. I don't mean to seem clueless I guess I just don't really get how it works.
I know my books are tagged but after I realized my books aren't on the Top 12 pages, I clearly see I'm missing something! lol.
I have to wonder if all this tagging of folks' books in exchange for being tagged by other authors devalues such things to the point of uselessness. I know writers whose books are "bestsellers" and who have 50+ positive reviews, and they complain of almost no sales. I don't think anyone's being fooled, IMHO.
Great idea!!!! My name is Jewel. I'll add each one of you one by one. In the meantime here's my 2 books on Amazon.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1495...

Don't bother, just pay for advertising - I have accumulated a huge list of available resources on my blog. I've got to #76 in Humor last weekend with one promo with eReader News. The list is free: http://anaspoke.com/2015/10/08/the-mo...
I am so much hooked up with this tugging. I have two books that I published in the previous ten days. You can try them. "The Sacrificing Kid" and "Ancient Love: The Tug of War". They are both Kindle editions. Just try African fiction and you won't hate it.
